The skill and kindness of Dr Gallemore is priceless! He has an amazing memory considering the amount of patient's he cares for. He is a gift from God! The quality of medical care is exceptional! The techs in the back are wonderful as well. The front desk and check out staff do not reflect the medical team in a positive manner. Some of the front desk staff are disrespectful and dismissive. They do NOT acknowledge you standing at the desk. I have experienced this on many previous appointments but, today was the last time I would accept their behavior. I walked up to the desk and waited to be acknowledged. One woman was staring at the computer. She answered the phone once during the time I was standing there, she immediately placed the caller on hold. She was not typing. She must have been reading something. Or just ignoring me. Still never acknowledging me. The other two women had a patient in front of them. Neither one of them said anything, which is somewhat understandable. A simple, we will be right with you, from any of them, would have been great! After not being seen I asked if anyone could tell me where I was in the que. The woman looking at her computer never looked at me. One of the other ladies spoke up and checked the status for me. No one wears a name tag so no one is accountable. read more

The receptionist are so rude. Seems like they hate their job and do not want to help out even just to make an appointment. They sigh at any question you ask or simply say they can't help. Dr Heeg is very thorough and i love that when thinking about one's eye sight. I've been coming here for months due to by brother's eye issues. I constantly question if I would ever come here for me or other family members. I problem wouldn't but it is strictly due to the time suck this office can take on your life. We are very lucky if we get out of the office within 2 hours. For a Drs office, that's just crazy. Due to family health issues, I have spent a ton of time in different Drs offices this past year but this is the only Drs appt that must be by itself on a given day. It is so frustrating. The appt time means nothing and there is no respect for the patient and families time. We are here on their time only. Even if you tell them you've been there for 2 + hrs no one cares. Dr G is great surgeon but has attitude in my opinion. Wait two hours plus for all those tests in crowded rooms. One test in my opinion not necessary for every patient every visit. One thousand for that test billed cost. But turn that's just my free speech opinion as a patient. One visit told me if you go home and you feel problem is still there come back the next day I did as he was visibly angry in tone of speech and staring look. Guess what he got paid for the visit. Dr Gallemore and Dr Walsh are the best! They are always so patient and attentive - willing to listen and really consider what the problem could be. Both my wife and I have seen them multiple times for what turned out to be unique and somewhat serious eye complications. And each time we got follow up calls to make sure everything was progressing as intended. And ultimately got the issues resolved. The front desk lady that my mom was making appointments with was super rude and made big loud sighs through the phone while trying to find a good appointment. Says she made her feel really bad and left a sour taste after the phone call. There's no need to be rude, especially when you're working in healthcare. If the workload is too much, you should take a break.. not take it out on your patients. read more

So disappointed, I was referred by my optometrist & have been here two times. Both times with appointments waiting for an hour and a half just to be seen then waiting another hour for all the tests then waiting another hour to see the dr for about 5 mins. not even answering any questions. I really like Dr. Grotting. She doesn't make you feel like you are on an assembly line. She explains everything to you and listens to you.

Im very concerned with this practice offering expired medication at a discount price and suggested by the doctor as "it still works and safe to take". Things have an expiration date for a reason and I find it highly unethical to offer patients this option even if for a lower price. Although true that some medication or products will not hurt you if expired, this creates a false sense of safety that can be misinterpreted with other products that might be harmful. I would suggest that you reconsider this practice/option to your patients. read more

Horrible front office. They always seem stressed and impatient and they are not customer service oriented. It took me an hour to drive to this office and I was forced to cancel my appointment because I was a few minutes late. Generally, the doctors are fine and meet expectation. I had my mom go to this place cuz her doctor recommended her.. Cuz she has a problem with her vision. So she went.. It was a very long ride 45-1 hour ride for her. They did an examination on her n told her she did not have any problem with her eyes. Wasted her time n charge her some outrageous price. Mom had medical which was suppose to pay for the examination.. N Medicaid pay the rest that wasn't converted.. They didn't wish to contact my mom's insurance instead kept sending her a bill for the remaining balance. So my mom got upset n I just payed it for her.. They also had the nerve to set another appointment so they can scam her Insurance for more money n tell her she had no problem. We called them n cancel her appointment.. Looking at some of these other reviews I think some perspective is in order. While it is true the office gets very busy, it's due to the fact that great doctors attract many patients. As a patient myself, I have learned to be patient :) while the office staff manages through all of the appointments. And yes, I get tested by all the same machines at each visit, but I am happy to do so, since you never know if the next visit shows an early problem that can be treated before it becomes a big problem. My eyes are too important not to do that. At the end of the wait I see Dr. Gallemore. He is thorough, professional, a top expert in his field, and worth the wait. He is to the point with his assessment and recommendation for follow-up. I don't want a lot of chit chat, just the bottom line, and that's what I get. read more

When I had my appointment for my laser surgery, I was called in 15 minutes early!... When I had my appointment for my post-op vistrectomy surgery, I was called in 5 minutes early. After my laser surgery, I was able to go back to work the following day. Granted it was difficult to work in front of my computer with the floaters in my left eye, and my right eye being legally blind. Now that I have had my vistrectomy pars plana surgery, I am hopeful that it will correct my vision in my right eye. All went well with my surgery, now the biggest challenge is having to remain in a face down position throughout the healing process. Once again, I'll keep you posted. read more

This place is NOT recommended. The people working here must be the most unhappy people I have come across. When entering I stand at the counter while they are talking amongst themselves or are on the phone. A simple "we will be right with you" is appropriate but not given. Gallamore might be a good doctor but is indifferent and arrogant. If you arrive on time to the office and there server is down and they can't verify you still have health insurance they will tell you to reschedule. If you like offices that are more interested in your insurance than your health this is the place for you. read more

My 3 stars are for the medical treatment and expertise of both doctors Grotting and Gallemore. My treatments are working so for that I am extremely grateful. They saw me immediately when my regular eye doctor made an urgent referral. This is a very busy office - like insanely busy. I typically wait 30 min to get my first contact with one of the staff. Most of my appointments consist of a lot of siting around - waiting for the next step. Just be prepared for this. This office is quite outdated as far as aesthetics. It seems quite dingy and everything is worn out. The furniture is pretty gross - it needs a major overhaul. You don't feel good sitting in a run down waiting room - that's always just so shocking to me because it's a basic and simple way to help your patients feel Valued. The front office staff are obviously very overworked and it shows. They seem agitated and annoyed most of the time. read more
