Well another amazing store checked off my list & OMG I can't wait to go back! When you step inside it's like you just stepped back into time... I'm a 70's baby & my gosh so many memories flooded back to me as I was browsing through the store! Everything is well organized & they've put it all into different departments so to speak, they even color coordinated the clothes which you very rarely see in these kinds of stores! Once I finished browsing through the clothes I realized there's a whole other section with housewares & such! On the other side of the store you'll find the housewares such as Pyrex, vintage cocktail stirrers... maybe in the mood for some classic cocktails, they have a bartenders guide! They also have a great selection of mid century lamps for a fraction of the price of what you'd pay for brand new in 2025... personally I prefer vintage or antique over new! I ended up leaving with a toy metal train to put in my Christmas display but my gosh the selection to choose from was amazing & such good quality for being vintage! I've recently learned that vintage stores are my weakness. There is never a shortage of neat things to find, and trinkets give your space that certain je ne sais quoi! We arrived here over the weekend as soon as they opened. The parking situation is ROUGH with only two spots in the front, so be prepared to find street parking. Entering the store, we were warmly greeted and she gave much love and attention to my little one. As most vintage stores, they thrive on maximalism and that means everything is everywhere! If you don't love digging and hunting through things, this would not be for you. All clothing and accessories on the left of the store, with some very cool aloha shirts in the back. I was in here 6 months ago and what a great experience then and even better experience yesterday. I need a cocktail dress for a work party this week and didn't feel like anything in my closet would work, so I came back here as all week I was thinking about a vintage Fredericks of Hollywood dress I saw in here but didn't try it on when I first saw it. Today I came back and Amber immediately greeted me and asked me did I need anything. I told her about the dress and she immediately knew which one! She got it for me and then I tried it on and my goodness, it fits me like a glove, just perfect! Obviously, since it fit so well, I purchased it but what ensued after was why I am writing an update. I got to meet Indigo and she is just the loveliest owner. While Amber and I were busy being chatty Kathys, Indigo set out to make sure one of the rhinestones on the dress was repaired as it was falling out a bit. She used adhesive of some kind to get it back in and told me it would take a few minutes to dry. I was like no problem and wandered around the store some more. Indigo is so detail oriented, quiet in her work, but caring from her heart, so that just warmed my soul completely. I just love this place as so many unique, fun items and so well curated. I love Indigo (and Amber's - I know she's not the owner but she is just so sweet and contributes to the aura of the store) creation! So up my alley! And when I left, I hugged both women and they made sure I would look fabulous this week for a work party. Thank you to the beautiful, strong and fashionable women that run this place! I am a customer for life! And also, on Mar 1, the Melrose March (I think?) Is happening where all the vendors in Melrose sell their stuff on the street and it's a street party! Yea! Pretty cool place! Parking is almost non-existent lol we lucked out and got there as they were opening. There's about 3 spots right in front and it's right off the main road so be careful. If you can, I would suggest backing in so you have a clear view to get out. There were a bunch of retro items and pieces. There were some vinyls for the low low that my sister in law bought. Not really my cup of tea anymore but I can appreciate this place for what it is. My nephew couldn't part ways with a USA pencil so the owner was super sweet and let him keep it. read more

This store was super cute and had cool stuff but the blonde behind the counter was a thunder cunt. My daughter was wanting to know about a vinyl she wanted to buy for a friend of hers but we know nothing about records so we asked her if any record player could play it ( it was apparently a 45 but again I know nothing about records, it was going to be a gift) she talked down to me and didn't even try to explain or answer my questions just dismissed me as an idiot. We were prepared to buy stuff in our hands already and these cute $500 chairs but immediately left after this interaction. Don't waste your time here! And there are so many reviews saying the same thing which is wild to me, maybe take the feedback and correct your customer service?! read more

This store is a treasure trove of vintage collectibles. I was there 20 minutes and had found 5 items that I couldn't live without. Ultimately my budget narrowed me down to the item I knew was the most special to me. This little bowl is the first of many items that I will be purchasing in the future. Went thrifting here after the Thanksgiving holiday and loved the furniture and home goods findings. They have a fabulous selection of midcentury furniture and dishware. Staff was attentive and friendly and answered any questions we had. I purchased a gorgeous button-down shirt with pearl snaps for my partner in an unusual color. If you're looking for highly curated, one-of-a-kind pieces, this is the spot to check out. It's pricey compared to your average thrift with some T-shirts into the $80 range (Harley Davidson). While visiting family locally in AZ, I wanted to do some shopping (of course) in Phoenix. We love vintage, oddball, mid-century, and antiques.... and when a person looks up this place, it's basically all the things. We didn't spend a lot of time here.... but I'll give a nice pro/con list of what was interesting. PRO's --- The retro store sign was reminiscent of the Neon Sign museum in Vegas and that warmed my heart. There's a lot of unique stuff kind of crammed together so the hunt for stuff is exciting, but the disorganization can quickly fade that. Mid-century furniture and house accents were a nice touch. Prices were kind of steep. CON's --- Parking lot was pretty small and luckily someone was pulling out as we were driving in. The spaces inside the store felt very cramped. It had a disorganized feel and I never like the feeling of if you try to touch something, or move something, something else might fall and break due to too much sh** t on the shelf. You know those amateur style museums that feel like they were created from an idea of someone with too much stuff in their basement? That's the vibe I got from this store. I love this store for unique vintage finds. I'm always trying to find something for our bar or for the table, like glass tiki cups or a pop-up cigarette holder (to hold reuseable cocktail straws). Last time I was in, I found a set of vintage Blakely teacups that I really fell for. The cashier gave me a ton of history about them which was excellent. Retro Ranch has many cool retro/vintage things to buy in a limited Phoenix market. The people who work there are super nice and fun to talk with. However...their prices are very high and if you sell to them, you will get around 10-20% of what they will sell your items for. read more

Don't you hate walking into a store that you may be spending $$ at and the person behind the counter cannot even be bothered to say hello. Then spending 20 minutes shopping and still not being acknowledged, then leaving and still not being acknowledged? I should also note that there was a very negative vibe present and that the woman behind the counter definitely added to this. I also had an experience where I was not greeted or said goodbye to like the other customers. She just ignored me despite seeing me more than once. So I decided not to buy the belt I was looking at. Not good customer service. I am in retail myself and this is not how I would recommend being towards customers. And the place is not as neat and clean as the photos so I was disappointed as well. It is a snug place with many things in it but not neat like the photos. I like thrift and vintage places a lot but her demeanor towards me was not inviting so I don't recommend the place either. I think if your store is going to be messy and tight, nice customer service toward every customer will at least help a little, but she lacked in that as well. The friendliest staff every time I go I find new treasures. They have vintage furniture, books, clothes, and knickknacks! I bought an old photo album, a pair of blue velvet sunglasses, a Fleetwood Mac poster, and a gold bowl! They have a range of prices, so whether you want to save or spend, this place is full of gems. 7th avenue is known for having small boutiques and flea market type shops, and this is a great one to check out! Located in a quaint little building that has been around for decades, it has a unique charm only older buildings have. Walking in, you see a well maintained shop full of a big mix of stuff. If you are into cloths, this may be one of the better places to check out because they seem to have a pretty big selection. I prefer the side room that tends to have vintage furniture and electronics. It's fun to see what kind of old furniture they come across, and I enjoy some of the old audio stuff that pops up from time to time. They of course have plenty of other stuff to see and the staff is always more than willing to help or answer questions ., which is greatly appreciated. I love this place! Super friendly staff, great finds every time I walk in the door. It's my treat for myself every month when I drop off my offices rent (also, probably the reason I don't mail it). Found a great Levi trucker jacket and said I wanted to think on it, Indigo held it for me so I didn't have to rush a decision on a weekend when she could have sold it probably ten times. They are a true local business that gets to know their customers and don't have any arrogance. This store is so FUN!!!! We had a 70's party to go to, and this was our second stop in search of an authentic outfit..... We were so happy with what we found, there was no need to check out any other store (btw, there are a TON of vintage clothing shops in this area...) The staff was VERY helpful and friendly! I had no idea what I was doing, or what to look for, the girl there helped me out a lot by putting together like 10 outfits for me in only 2 minutes! I found my outfit after only trying on two of the 10 pieces she found for me...it was love at first sight! My husband found an outrages blue tuxedo, with a hot shirt to go with. We walked out happy as can be with Brady Bunch tunes in our head. :D Besides retro clothing, you will find some shoes (mostly womens, and not a huge selection) hats, bags, jewelry, furniture, and lots of odds and ends things.....It's fun to just browse around. This was my first real Boutique experience, I went in to sale a couple of vintage jewelry, golden knick knacks a A and a old book I came across. The lady who owned the place seemed so uninterested in my friend and I the moment we walked in the door. I told her the history behind each item to my surprise she came off uninterested: as a fine arts, vintage, boutique owner I expected a certain level of Attentiveness (faked or not) while laying my items out for her she turned every item down before I could tell it's story. Coming from a person who has ran multiple retail stores with multimillion profitability I was shocked to see how stand off she was, almost hostile. I felt like she refused to provide me customer service, But hey making sales is a god given talent or least one that involves processing a personality. I will never return to this store and I highly recommend you seek vintage pieces else wear. It's so sad too she had great stuff... to bad you'd most likely have to wrap it as you cash yourself out. Retro Ranch (aka Retro Redux) is my go-to place for fun, retro finds. While they may not have the depth or quality of MCM classic and brand name furniture of places like metro Retro or Red Modern, they do have lots of cool and fun 'off-label' mid century furniture for the 1940s through the 80s that you won't find at the other stores. They also have a stellar selection of period art, clothing, magazines, home/kitchen accessories and tchotchkes for those who dig the vintage vibe. Their inventory changes regularly, so be sure to return if you didn't find what you were looking for the first time. The store is are under new ownership/management and is now called Retro Ranch. Not too much change in type and style of inventory, but the store seems better organized and the 'head wrangler,' Indigo Nielsen is outgoing and helpful, making it a bit more enjoyable place to pursue than it's past incarnation. read more

So I'm a shopper. I go into a store because I'm there to spend money and I love to support local business. I just feel like I need to put this as many people only review businesses After poor service. Unfortunately I am on here because of the TERRIBLE no wait Non-existent customer service I received at Retro Ranch today. Not only did the woman who was working there not even care I walked into the store, but didn't say a SINGLE word to me the entire time I was in there! I manage a small local boutique in Phoenix and if any of my employees treated someone that walked into my store this way, we would be having a serious conversation about not only their interpersonal skills but their desire to be there. It's unfortunate that this happened because this store had some amazing decor pieces that would work in my condo, but they will not ever receive my business. If this business cares about actually being a business SHOW IT! At the very minimum acknowledge people who walk into your "store". read more

Love this store! Every year, I attend my company holiday party and wear an outrageous costume. Er, outfit. Prior years have been '70s themed, covered in battery operated lights, or wrapped in fur. Most of these clothes have been purchased at Retro Ranch. This year, I opted to turn back time and get a '60s suit. It's a shiny burgundy that is to live for: high waisted, long tails, and nicely fitted in the middle. Previously, I've picked up some incredible polyester shirts from RR that are beyond amazing. Their selection is among the best in the Valley. Best part is, RR is about a mile south of where I live. So, a short bike ride (or shorter car ride) will get me here for more salubrious shopping. One of my favorite antique shops on 7th Ave. This is the place to go if you're looking for unique clothing articles from decades past. They also have a wide and ever changing stock of vintage home wares and decor. I actually like the fact that the staff here lets you explore on your own and doesn't bother you unnecessarily. I'm having a 70's roller disco party for my 30th birthday and I've been searching high and low for their perfect outfits for my husband and I. We made our way to phoenix because that seems to be the best part of town for vintage shopping and I'm soo happy we did! I walked in and was in heaven!!! They have an amazing assortment of all things vintage! Clothes, furniture, art etc!! If you are looking for something special that's hard to find anywhere else you should come check this place out!! This place has taken a step up since the new ownership took over. More selection, better prices, and most importantly - friendlier service. You can find a decent selection of mid-century furniture at decent prices and some fun little trinkets. My one complaint about the trinkets is they tend to forget to take the price tags off from the thrift stores they got them from. So you feel like a tool paying $7 for something they got at Good Will for .99 cents. If you visited during the Retro Redux phase and were turned off by the lack of inventory or the lazy, snobby staff, its definitely worth checking out again because it is significantly better now. read more
