    Peaches and Cream (weekly special)
    Michelle T.

I'd been following the trucks' locations on Instagram for a few weeks and finally my schedule allowed for an excursion when one of the trucks was at Sevier Park. I truly enjoyed the weekly special, Peaches and Cream, with peach cobbler ice cream in the middle. It was a real treat, with no skimping on the syrup! A perfectly refreshing way to take a break on a hot day. Can't wait to try some other flavors!

There's nothing better than a cold, frozen treat on one of these screamin' hot summer days in Nashville. Retro Sno is the way to go! (can that be y'all's slogan?) In all seriousness, even though the bowl looks tiny for the regular sized "snowball", it is almost more than plenty for one person. You're getting like twice the height of the bowl in sweet snowy deliciousness with how much they pack up on top. Not including the toppings to go along with it. Even though you may have to play a little bit of Marco Polo to find their truck, you have to stop by if you ever see them.

Retro Sno's food truck had been coming to our community for the past few weeks and it's been the best treat for a warm afternoon. We've tried a few of the flavors, with my favorite being the dreamsicle one! My dog LOVED his pup cup, which was chicken broth and ice! Check them out next time you can! You would be upset you did!

We stopped by the truck at our local park, and we were so surprised with how delicious our snow cone was! We got the unicorn, and couldn't believe how much the ice tasted like snow. It wasn't chunky or crunchy. So so so good. We will be back any time we see the truck!

One of the best snow cones I've ever had. The truck was in 12S on Tuesday evening. It was the perfect treat! Delicious flavor, not too sweet, paired with whipped cream. Also had but not shown was the root beer float flavored snow cone. It had a scoop of vanilla ice cream in the middle of the snow! So incredibly good - did take a little while but worth it for the taste!

Alright, Retro Sno. You got me. I've never been one to go out of my way for a snow cone but when I caught wind of your line at Centennial Park and ridiculously cute snow cone garnishes....I melted. Dear reader, Here is why you should partake in a Retro Sno scoop of deliciousness: -One look at 'em in all their heaping glory and you won't need to read the remainder of this review. You can't help but smile after a glimpse of the whipped cream toppings and gummy garnishes. -All syrups are gluten free and use cane sugar (I would also like to add that unlike your typical snow cones, these have a refreshing and natural taste about them - in contrast to the heavy syrups you'll typically find. -friendly staff oozing with passion -fun and creative flavor selection like pina colada, toasted coconut, citrus combo, pomegranate, mocha and so on. Thank you for converting me. Until next time, I'll cross my fingers for a similar business to surface in Indy. With orange stained lips, Brittany

The fall s'mores stuffed sno was a 10/10. It took me back to the gelatis I used to have as a kid in NJ where Rita's would later water ice and soft serve ice cream.

Yum! I gotta say, on a freaking hot day in the middle of a park in a city you're exploring this was the best snow cone EVER. It was so hot I had to race against the elements to finish it before it melted everywhere. They put a HUGE portion in a tiny cup. I didn't care for the whipped cream; maybe because I specifically was looking for something refreshing and anything cream was not in line with that. I chose the Citrus Sunrise, which is just as beautiful as it sounds. Very, very yummy. The line was incredibly long, but it was with the wait. I wish we had one of these in Jacksonville!

I happen to get Retro Snow about every year during the summer. Every time I attend a Nashville outdoor event they're usually there. They're the perfect cooling down dessert for those hot warm days in the summer. My favorites are the Rainbow Retro Snoball and the Dreamsicle Stuffed Snoball!

Best sno cone/shaved ice i have even had. They have an awesome array of different and unique flavors such as sangria. The staff is also sweet and helpful!

I gave a 3 star overall, but I give the Grilled Cheeses a 4 star. The 3 star overall is for 1 reason. We had a couple of questions about the menu such as, do they not have the Roasted Red Pepper Tomato Soup or the Mac & Cheese Bowl anymore ( They have removed these items from the menu ) and the employee was kinda rude about it and I really didn't like that. Anyway--- The Sandwiches are really good and the sides were good. They also do catering and you can find them on Facebook and Instagram. There is a covered outdoor patio along with shared seating inside. It's a good place to grab a Grilled Cheese and a tasty Milkshake.

You will not find queso, fajitas, or any of the hallmarks of Americanized Tex-Mex here. This spot is for people truly searching for authenticity, which Taqueria Azteca has in spades. I eventually found the English menu and ordered a few things I feel like I don't often see: two sopes (one pollo, one tinga) and a pollo gordita. Just regular water to drink. The whole meal came to about $13 and they take Apple Pay, which was a win. The inside is small and it seems popular to get food to go, but I decided to sit and eat. My food came out fresh, made to order, in about 10 minutes, and I had my pick of three homemade salsas. The red and the darker green were both too spicy for my weakling tastebuds, but the light green was perfect and I put it all over everything. The tinga was my favorite of the two meats, juicy and incredibly flavorful. The regular pollo was a bit dry and not that flavorful on its own, though the salsa fixed it. Both the sope and the gordita came loaded with refried beans, lettuce, sour cream, pico, onions, and cilantro. Truly needed a fork to get through all the messy deliciousness. Three items turned out to be slightly more food than I could handle, but man were they delicious. I'd love to come back next time I'm in the area!
