I asked if I could have one just like that and he said he would not. There is a different set of rules for "some people". I've tried most, if not all, of them. Taqueria Express food trucks are the best Mexican in Nashville. They're cheap and affordable. Their city inspection scores are higher than most actual restaurants. They're delicious. Their only weakness: limited options because it's a truck, after all. This event is a great idea. That being said, I think we got here at the wrong time. The event was running from 11am - 9pm and our group got there at about 2pm. The place was packed. Many trucks were closed, having run out of food, and those that were open had wait times of at least 45 minutes. By the time I got to the front of the line for the Latin wagon, they only offered 4 (tasty) items and had run out of change for cash transactions. I paid with a card and enjoyed my food, but I was a little sad that so many trucks were out of so many things. I also tried Jonbalaya Catering's truck and only waited in a line for about 5 minutes! I think because they were out of their signature jambalaya and pork sliders, but the ham and cheese sliders weren't a bad replacement and their Raspberry UnDaquiri was delicious. I guess that means the event was a success! I'm looking forward to more events like this in the future and will be sure to show up RIGHT when they start.
