Records, tapes, CDs, and yes, even DVDs and VHS tapes, like artifacts from a civilization that understood patience. The selection is not just large, it is deep in the way a good conversation is deep. Jazz standards sit comfortably alongside obscure classical recordings. Somewhere nearby is a Japanese scream band you have never heard of but suddenly feel compelled to investigate. What makes the place work is the staff. These aren't people who ended up here by accident. They're here because they love music in a way that can't be faked. Ask for something familiar and they will find it. Ask for something strange and they will find it too, and then suggest three more things you didn't know you needed. It reminds me of the record stores I grew up in, back when discovering music felt like a small personal victory instead of an algorithm handing you a suggestion like a fortune cookie with better branding. Streaming may have made everything available, but it also made everything feel the same. This place resists that. It insists that music is still worth searching for, still worth holding in your hands, still worth talking about with another human being. Go here. Spend more time than you intended. Trade in something you hope others will discover as you once did. Leave with something unexpected. That's the whole point. Super welcoming, no pretension, just real love for music. The clientele was friendly too. We ended up having some great conversations with other diggers about what we were flipping through, which always makes a record store visit memorable. The selection was better than I anticipated, with a really solid mix of new and used records, and the prices were more than fair. Highlight of the visit: scoring a near-mint copy of the 1977 first pressing of Foreigner. Couldn't have been more fitting to buy it today, with "Cold As Ice" on the tracklist and a windchill of -8 outside, it felt meant to be. If you're anywhere near Levittown, PA and love records, Positively Records is 100% worth the stop. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town.

With it being the newest location to pop up in the state, they've got fresh inventory so it's great to find things that have been harder to find in other FYE's or other stores in general. I popped in Saturday March 11th for a look see. I had heard about them from a family member that…read morepasses through there every day. I generally go to The Record Exchange in Princeton, NJ or Double Decker Records in Allentown, PA for the selection and pricing. This store is tiny by those standards, but they had some titles that would normally be snatched up in a busier store. For that I was grateful. The owner is eager, but I fear that he might be stretching himself a bit thin carrying a couple of arcade machines, some stereo equipment, a listening station that takes up about 25% of his capacity, books, T-Shirts and cassettes. I wouldn't mess with half of that stuff if I were him. There were alot of records I could never get through because they were literally on the floor and my back doesn't care for that. The guitars and arcade machines have to go. Not enough space. He was having a dollar sale on several boxes of records, but many of them were too banged up to consider. I'd call it a day on 80% of them in his shoes. It's a decent space, but it's definitely out of the way for most folks. Belvidere is farm country, but they are on the main drag with a liquor store, a coffee shop, a CBD store and a bodega all within close proximity. Parking was decent. The prices were a little high, but I can forgive some of that due to his store size and relatively small selection. I found maybe 10 records I wanted at their price points and I got out of there for $120. Try doing that at those other stores I mentioned. One really cool thing is that the actual price tags peel right off the LP jackets without the need for Goo Gone or worrying about ripping the covers. Almost all of them were already in plastic sleeves which really classed up the joint. Keeps the fingerprints off the good ones. Most of actual vinyl I looked at was in fairly good shape. I found a smattering of $5-$7 records to buy so that was good. I would say there were another 5-7 records I would have bought if their prices were maybe $5 cheaper. A used record, unless it's very rare and or in extremely high demand, should never exceed $20 in my opinion. At that point you may as well buy a new one. I got the impression this guy was a rookie retailer, but he was extremely accommodating and even offered coffee to the folks shopping. Not a particularly good idea with the likelihood of one handed spillage high, but it spoke to his humanity. I was impressed. Their logo is very cool and I would have bought a jersey from them, but they didn't have my size. In summation, if you are around Central NJ, give this guy some love. He could use it. I'll definitely be back for sure.

Found them through a FB post. I've past the store hundred of times and never knew they sold…read morerecords, always thought it was music instruments and equipment only. Anyway... They posted an ad for a sale on CDs. I responded back asking if they had any vinyl for sale and when they said yes, I decided to pay them a visit. Walking in you're greeted with exactly what I thought the store was. A musical equipment store. I saw a rack of records and as I walked to it, a rep came over to ask if I needed help. When I said I was interested in the records he said I was welcome to look at that rack but I probably wanted to look upstairs. He led the way upstairs and through a maze into a huge room with wall to wall racks of records!! Turns out I wasn't crazy, the record "store" is a new venture. They are just launching. But back to my visit. Wall to wall racks of records! I started at the far corner and worked my way through all the racks. Every genre was there! Even country which you never see. The bins were well marked and actually had what was listed. Everything was alphabetical! I worked my way around grabbing an album here and there. After a little over an hour of looking I headed to the register. While most of the records were priced, there were a few that weren't and the clerk quickly looked them up and gave me more than fair pricing on them. In just over an hour I added a couple of dozen records to the collection for a heck of a great price. Overall, very helpful and friendly staff. Very good selection of music (they have CDs, Dvds, and cassettes as well but I was there for vinyl so I didn't really look at those). Great prices. I found out after paying I came through the wrong door and their entrance door is actually in the back of the building. (I know for next time) I will definitely be back!

It's about my parents, their history in Lawrence, Ewing, and Princeton, including their homeland of Italy. Their early years, their married years, their demise, their two restaurants, their life, their family, and their love for each other, to me worth reading, and cherishing.
