The only store close to where I was that was open before 11am was Quicksave Games, so I drove the extra distance to Fitchburg to check them out. I knew the general value of my games going in and was pleasantly surprised at the amount I was offered in trade. I ended up finding a couple PS4 VR games that I had been searching for and they gave me a little cash too to cover the remainder of the trade value. The games I found were reasonably priced based on their Price Charting value. The store has an excellent selection of both retro and current games. I was impressed by finding video game guides as well. If you need console/controller repair or swapping out dead batteries in video games, those are services they offer. I'm glad I made the decision to stop at Quicksave Games and would do so again if the opportunity arises.

Fun place to walk around. Good selection of used games for a number of systems, and the proprietor will usually buy games back for not too much less than his selling price. Pretty good selection of accessories, too. Helpful and friendly proprietor. Once, I asked him for an HDMI cable, and he was out of new ones, so he gave me an extra one he had for free. They also have turntables and some great vintage records. Highly recommended store.

My boyfriend has been a regular at the store for years, and I went with him to pick up his pull list this past weekend. There were people chatting at the counter when we came in, so Carla didn't see that I was with anyone when I entered the store. She was sure to ask me if I needed help with anything, which is a first in the slew of comic and game shops I've been to recently. The shop is set up with different rooms devoted to your interest, with comics in one wing and games in another, and more general books and collectibles merchandise in the main room where you enter. If you head to the back, you'll find space for game playing and where Don is organizing his back stock of comics. The shop on the whole is bright and colorful, and I felt totally welcome to browse. Don and Carla had a nice word for everyone who came in the store, and it was pretty clear that they have a small army of loyal customers. The outside of the store isn't much to look at - it's situated in an industrial-looking strip mall - but don't let that deter you from the checking out their cozy shop. Even if you're not a full-on geek, there are still things for you here - several of their games are great for a game night with friends.

Which isn't horrible, but the controllers were a whole different level of stupid. They were heavily used, had bad stick-drift, and they cost 50 dollars! I could buy a PS5 controller for around 65 dollars. Over the amount of time that i had the PS4 i bought 17 games for a total of a little over 150 dollars. so that brings the total up to 500 dollars! i went to return it recently and they gave me 120 dollars. for all of it and some other consoles such as 2 Xbox 360's and 7 controllers and games and a Wii with 3 controllers and about 20 games each. 120 dollars. I will likely never come back unless i am buying games.

Game Together MKE has the best selection of retro video games in Milwaukee, especially games in…read moretheir original boxes, but their prices are higher than similar stores in the Oshkosh/Appleton/Green Bay area and the offers they make for your items are not as good. During my most recent visit I felt insulted by what they offered in trade for six of my GBA games that Price Charting had valued at $154 (they offered $65 which is only 42% of the value). Just the day before, a store in Appleton offered me $50 in trade for the highest value game by itself (I didn't have the other five with me and only decided to trade all six while I was there). Needless to say, I left with my games and without the console I wanted to trade for, which was also priced higher than at the store in Appleton. The lack of other quality options in Milwaukee dictates that I can't completely rule out going to Game Together MKE again and that's probably why they price things the way they do. I wish there were other options in Milwaukee or that they treated their customers with more respect.

Me and my brother both were excited about this, and so we went together one day to check it out. I would say they had a pretty cool selection, however that is about where the positives stop. My brother noticed one of the limited edition N64 controllers (jungle green if you must know) paired with a regular N64 console behind the front desk. My brother was ecstatic about this, as he has a jungle green N64 but does not have a matching controller for it. He asked if they would be able to separate the jungle green controller from the regular N64 and he could purchase the controller itself. They said they wouldn't be able to do that. We thought that was kind of ridiculous since they had other normal n64 controllers they could've paired with the n64, but whatever. I ended up purchasing a Batman game for the Sega Genesis as well as a Sega Genesis Controller, and my brother purchased a copy of Frogger for the Gameboy color. When I got home, I immediately tried to play the batman game, and it wouldn't boot. I pulled it out and cleaned it, noticing that the connector pins were filthy and obviously hadn't been cleaned by the business before they put it on the shelf. After cleaning, it booted fine. I then tried to use the controller. The controller, also, did not work properly, and half the buttons felt sticky. I opened the controller and it very clearly had had some sticky liquid spilled into it at some point. Even after cleaning the controller still did not function correctly. This isnt really my experience nor my purchase, but I thought I should note that my brother's frogger game was also filthy and even after cleaning still did not boot. There is clearly terrible quality control at this business, and they don't actually test or clean their equipment/games before selling them. I will not be returning to this business.
