This is fun spot for adults and/or kids. Will definitely keep you busy for the hour or if you're willing all day. Their prices are great and staff are friendly. They have great deals depending on the day and a lot of good game options. They have mortal kombat, pacman, and many more! If you're looking for something fun to do that won't break your wallet, give them a visit.

My family went today and what an awesome place! You pay hourly, not per game, and there's plenty of pinball games and arcade games to keep you from getting bored. Definitely recommend!

Pinball paradise and other retro games! You know that skit about the guy on a dating show who is only there for the zip line? When I hit an arcade, I'm really only there for the pinball. Fortunately, this place did not disappoint. I paid a flat fee and got a wristband that marked my end time. All of the games were free/unlimited play, and there were lots of pinball machines. I don't think any of them were out of service, which is super impressive! I got a chance to play each machine. My favorites were Jaws and Game of Thrones. It's always such a delight to get to play on functioning, quality, retro machines. Retrovolt also had retro games other than pinball. I tried a couple, including the ninja turtles one. But... as I said... I was really there for the pinball. Overall, I highly recommend this spot. It clearly had some regulars, but everyone there was friendly and encouraged others to get in on the game play. I would absolutely return next time I have the opportunity.

Retrovolt is amazing!!!! Booked a birthday party for yesterday (3/8) and honestly it was one of the best birthday parties ever! The staff was amazing. Everyone was so kind and helpful. They were organized and honestly just great people. Everyone had fun the entire time and no one got bored. The birthday boy, my dad who it was a surprise for, loves Retrovolt now so I can see many date nights in the future with my mom there. Every guest left telling me how much fun they had and what a cool place it was. For anyone considering a party here, do it! You get your own party space on the side of the arcade with a bathroom and there are video game systems back there too. The room for the party was pretty spacious, we had a total of 32 guests. The have a total 6 tables and they had the tables covered with tablecloth (which was honestly so helpful cuz I thought we had to start from scratch when we got there). They typically do book party slots 2 hours at a time and you do get 15 minutes to set up before your time starts but we booked 2 party slots so we got a whole extra hour. But if anyone from Retrovolt reads this, thank you so much for the best party ever! I know I'll be back cuz me and fiance have some more games to play!

After grabbing pizza next door, I decided to head over to Retrovolt to get some gaming in as I've been scoping arcades for my nephews/niece for possible birthday parties. I bought an all day pass for one weekend day, and I believe it was $25 which isn't bad at all. I spent about 3 hours playing and had my fill of all these old school games. There's a big screen TV on one of the walls that have a PS5 hooked up to it.. There are more classic games here compared to Extraordinaire Arcade, but both of these venues are incredibly strong offerings. The really cool thing about Retrovolt is that they coordinate with the pizza parlor next door for private parties. That's a huge bonus for both business. Games work well, and I had no issues with the joysticks or buttons. I'd definitely come back again at least for myself or with friends if we don't schedule private parties here. Cheers, and enjoy playing!

I never tire of going to Retrovolt, as I know that I will find something new and interesting, on each visit. I'm primarily a pinball fan, but I will occasionally play arcade games. The arcade is constantly rotating pinballs and video games, so you'll find something that catches your attention. Recently, some Japanese arcade games have been added. There are now a few driving games, a few more shooting games, and a 4-player Pac-Man game. Pinballs range from classic 70s to modern machines. The majority of the pinballs are modern Stern machines, but you'll find Bally's/Williams tables from the golden age of the 90s. Currently, my favorite, Theatre of Magic is in the arcade. I know that it will eventually go away, but for now, I am happy to see her on each visit. Since opening, a separate party room has been added. This room holds quite a few people and can be rented for a reasonable charge. Retrovolt often has special events, particularly around their anniversary. There are specials during the week for those who want to play for more than an hour. They recently added Wednesday to the rotation. They're closed Mondays and Tuesdays, unlessed rented out for a private event. (Do yourself a favor, rent out the arcade. It is well worth it!) Despite the rising cost of everything, Retrovolt has kept their $10 an hour price consistent. Staff is courteous and helpful. They're fans of these classics and can help explain the rules to those who are new to the games. Don't be afraid to ask. Check out the bathroom!

This place is located in calimesa in a little parking lot next to a few places to grab a bite to eat or a drink before or after the gaming madness! 10 dollars for an hour of unlimited plays or 25 dollars for an all day pass. Time will go by quick in here, I would suggest getting the all day pass if your dead set on completing some games to the very end like I am! Or if you're trying to get the new high score and have your initials display at the end of your favorite game! It's a great place for kids and teens to come to and hang out since there isn't much to do for the younger crowd in this town. It's also great for adults who want to go back to that nostalgic feeling you had as a kid walking into the Mall just to go straight to the arcade and spend time there all day playing games. Remember the 90s, 2000s era? If you don't, just come here and it will jog your memory!

I have an 11 year old son who is really into retro video games and who has expressed to his father and I how he wished he could experience an old school arcade like what we use to play at . I scoured the inter webs to see if such a place still existed amongst the round ones and Dave & busters of the world. Lo and behold I found retrovolt arcade! We drove an hour to surprise our son on his birthday and were not disappointed! Retrovolt is tucked away in a small shopping area , it is clean , staff is friendly and jam packed with all the classics! Street fighter 2 and mortal kombat 2, donkey Kong , my son was on cloud 9. I loved the family 4 pack play by hour option too. I would also like the mention they have a bathroom and it is well kept ! We will be making the hour drive to come again. Thank you Retrovolt for making my son's day!

Date night with bae, we came here after dinner at 21 Sushi House. Pricing is great, only $10 per hour per person on a Saturday night. Selection of pinball is excellent, plus a good selection of vintage arcade. Sadly, they did not have Tempest, which is my personal favorite. I would say they have more 90s games than 80s games, but still, a great selection overall. We shall be back!

We just hosted my daughters birthday party here and it was great! The staff are super friendly and accommodating! Highly recommend! So much nostalgia!

Oooh boy, this place was fun! Never tried this arcade and from the outside you might not notice how cool it is inside. They have a huge selection of arcade cabinets to play. I'm impressed by the collection giving everyone something to play including pinball. Love the look of the place, an arcade not afraid to have some lights on it with big murals and projectors. Like many modern arcades now it's $10 an hour or $25 for all day on the weekend. And, it's worth it. Was there for an hour, but easily could have spent more. Will definitely go back to show friends and try to finish some games. Oh, they have some rare Japanese cabinets like a Sailor Moon side scroller where two scouts can beat up bad guys and a JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Stardust fighter. Check their site for what they have in and don't be afraid to ask anyone there how to play games in Japanese. They don't have food, but plenty of options next door or walking distance.

Feel like there isn't too much to do around the area so it's nice have found this. First off $10 for one hour of play is very reasonable. You pay and get a sticker with a time which you're supposed to leave. Not sure if they kick you out but I assume it's mostly honor system. The arcades they have are pretty retro. Tons of fighting games along with guitar hero, and many pinball machines. One hour is certainly enough for a casual to get their fill of arcade games. Sadly I got wooped by my girlfriend on tekken. Definitely worth a checkout if you're in the area!

Hector R.

Oh my gosh. The moment you walk in, your walking thru a Time Machine. Imagine your in the 80's and going to the arcade. That's what is like. I'played games I have not played in 30 years. You pay by the hour all games are included. I will be coming here again they have a four person package for $30, or each person $10 per hour or you. An buy all day for $25 on weekends and $15 Thursday and Friday.

The lights, arcade machines, and the whole setup just hit that sweet spot where it feels fun and nostalgic but still updated. The lanes were in great shape, scoring screens worked perfectly, and the arcade area actually had games people want to play. It's the kind of place where you can bowl a few games, grab some snacks, mess around in the arcade, and just hang out without it feeling dead or outdated. The atmosphere is lively without being chaotic. Honestly, this is what a 5-star bowling alley should be, good lanes, good lighting, fun arcade, decent food, and a vibe where you actually want to stay longer than one game. And I'm just gonna say it... way better than Bowlero. Bowlero feels overpriced and corporate, like they tried to turn bowling into a nightclub. Empire Bowl just keeps it real and actually focuses on making bowling fun. Definitely coming back.

Last year, he wanted to have his birthday party there with 10+ players. My boyfriend contacted Devin, the owner, regarding pricing for the event. We went to see The Mandalorian and Grogu during a matinee, and I was expecting it to be crowded, but it turned out to be pretty relaxed. Matinee tickets were $12.95 each, which felt reasonable. They also offer IMAX, but at $25 per person, it felt a bit too pricey for me. Inside, I noticed about five staff members, and everyone we interacted with was friendly and provided good customer service. The theater itself was clean, and the recliner seats were comfortable and in good condition, which made the experience more enjoyable. The concession stand was well stocked, though prices were on the higher side--but that's pretty standard for most movie theaters.
