Coffin Creek Haunted Village has become a must for us during the Halloween season…read more Tickets: Front of the line passes are not needed if you're going early in the season, but would highly recommend as you get closer to Halloween. The queues can get a bit long. Nothing like Knott's or Universal Studios. You can usually save some money if you sign up for their newsletters as they tend to do deals before they officially open. Scares: I love that they only let small groups in at a time. I'm easily jumpy, but this just takes the stress level up a notch. The actors do a great job and some of the decor/scenery is downright creepy! Parking: It's dark and bumpy. Don't wash your car beforehand and know that it will feel like you're doing a bit of off-roading at times. Food and drink: They have vendors onsite, but they're pricey. There's some restaurant/bar options to enjoy before or after within a 5-10 minute drive.

The ticket process of honoring our vouchers was smooth, and the maze was excellent. The blackout touch using the glow stick was so much fun. We were all scared numerous times, and this event was top notch. The other event, Mansion of Lost Souls was aweful. They attempted for twenty minutes through numerous staff to deny us access even though we had already paid. My advice to you is to only attend the Hoarder's NIghtmare event as they know what they are doing.

I honestly expected to see more about dates, given the name, but I didn't come across much that tied into that theme. Most of what's here centers around carnival rides, classic fried fair food, and the usual midway energy. I did enjoy checking out the fair entries, which added a nice local touch and broke up the ride and food loop. It's a relatively small fair overall, and I was able to see just about everything in roughly two hours without rushing. Fine for a casual visit if you're in the area, but not something I'd plan an entire day around.

Over the years, there is less emphasis on dates and more on typical fair experiences. Came late on a Sunday evening. Paid extra for VIP parking and bought the tickets online, to enter before the gate closed. The VIP parking is south of the fairgrounds. We liked the turkey leg and the funnel cake with raspberry jam! Also enjoyed the piglet racing and the dog stunt show. There are gem and mineral exhibits. The impressive model railroad exhibits are in a building with some history of the Festival.
