I went to visit the club today and the young girl at the front desk was extremely pleasant and sweet. She gave me a price sheet, which is attached to this review. She let me tour the club and while it's not very big, it was also not very busy. I had been a member years ago and a few things have changed. After speaking with my girlfriend, I agreed that we would pre-pay an entire year because of the specials and the prices in the attached flyer. When I went to sign up, unfortunately, I was told the price would be $330 higher plus there would be an annual fee and an enrollment fee. If I'd not been shown one price and then given another, I would have felt informed, but in this case I felt differently. I do not believe the nice young lady at the front desk meant any harm or did anything wrong. But apparently staff communication might be an issue. So if you choose this club, make sure you understand exactly which pricing plan you're on. $189 per couple per month plus the additional fees can add up quickly. Convenience is great, but there are other options.

Every class I meet new/other students who are all quality people. Everyone is there to get better, and people with more experience try to help you whenever possible. I felt welcome right away, and never felt like I didn't belong. I love attending both Gi and no-gi classes so I can learn both. The coaching is absolutely World-Class. All of the black belts have a wealth of knowledge to share, and they do so with so much passion. Coach Josh leads by example and is a great role model for all students. My 4-year-old son started in the Mighty Mites program, and he loves going to his classes twice a week. Their kids' coaches are incredible and keep the kids engaged and having fun. I can't say enough good things about Refuge; it is becoming like a second home for me. Highly recommend.
