Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding Unprofessional and Discriminatory Treatment…read more I am writing to formally express my concern and disappointment regarding the way I was treated during my recent visit to Elite Physical Therapy. I have been a patient of your clinic for nearly 10 years, returning as needed. Over that time, I have consistently paid for services both through insurance and out-of-pocket, including recent visits where I paid approximately $120 per session and $135 for my initial evaluation. I have always met my financial obligations. During my most recent visit, I informed your office that I would be approximately 10 minutes late. Upon arrival, I was told my session would be reduced to 15 minutes, which did not work for my schedule. Despite this, I was still willing to proceed and pay any applicable fee. I was not previously informed of any $40 late or no-show fee. However, what occurred next was completely unacceptable. The moment I entered the clinic, I was not greeted professionally or addressed by name. Instead, I was immediately confronted about payment in a loud and public manner. While standing at the front desk, a staff member stated loudly, in front of other patients, "You need to pay the $40 fee before we see you." This drew unnecessary attention and caused other patients to turn and look at me. This approach was humiliating and implied that I was unwilling or unable to pay my bill, which is entirely untrue. I have never had an issue paying for services and have consistently handled payment either before or after my visits. Being addressed in this way--publicly and without discretion--was deeply disrespectful. Additionally, as a minority, the tone and manner in which I was spoken to felt discriminatory and demeaning. It created a hostile and uncomfortable environment. No patient should feel singled out or judged in this way. I also want to share that I am currently going through an extremely difficult time, having lost my wife just two months ago. I came to your clinic seeking care and support, and instead left feeling embarrassed, disrespected, and emotionally distressed. When I raised my concern, I was told that the staff member "did not mean it that way." Respectfully, intent does not excuse the impact. The experience itself was inappropriate and unacceptable. After many years as a patient, I expected a higher level of professionalism, respect, and discretion. I respectfully request the following: * A formal acknowledgment of this incident * A clear explanation of your patient communication and payment policies * Assurance that staff are trained to address patients privately and respectfully * Clarification as to whether this reflects standard practice within your clinic I hope this matter is taken seriously so that no other patient has a similar experience. Sincerely, Seon Smith

I just completed two months of treatment for neck pain. Having worked with three different…read moretherapists, I feel that I now have the tools to control the pain and stiffness in my neck. They were honest with me about what could and what could not be done. I was impressed with the knowledge and soothed by the kindness of all three therapists. The logistics of making appointments was simple, thanks to a very competent front-desk staff. Highly recommend!

Well, I'll start up by saying A2 physical therapy. Everybody's amazing there and I had the pleasure…read moreof having therapy with Ron the other day in Seattle. He was filling in. He normally works in Gig Harbor, but he was filling in. I don't even know where to start except for M4 four years old done, chiropractor, physical therapy for years lots of stuff this man is amazing. The amount of relief I got after one visit I brought my wife next time because we were both in a car accident and told her he was amazing and when she got in the car, the first thing she said is you're right, you know that never comes out very often. So that there says amazing. She got amazing. Relief to after just one visit with Ron. I look forward to seeing Ron every week and if they had a word better than amazing I would use it. you will not be disappointed in going and seeing him, I'm kind of nervous telling everybody because I don't want him to get too busy. lol but I think we should all get to experience Ron if we're in serious pain because like I said he's amazing and his personality is pretty good too. He has a bright light that you can see. That is really nice to be around for at least that hour thanks Ron you are much appreciated, brother.

This is the worst Physical Therapy Clinic I have been to. They could never schedule me and I think…read morethe condition might have gotten worse because of the delays in between sessions. I think I have a total of 10 sessions between March and July. The first appointment I told the receptionist I had not co-pay for PT as I called my insurance company. I had an annual deductible of $39. They continued to bill me and I would ask at every appointment what they were billing me for. It ended up being an almost $200 bill. They don't honor their cancellation policy and when I complained about how bad their billing services, they tacked on $55.00 on a statement I had to asked for and was 3 months late. Don't go here as they don't have adequate staff and the owner is the biller. She also had her dog in there one day when I came in and it almost bit me. She didn't apologize to me until I was leaving. Bad business.

I had a very disappointing experience with this physical therapy clinic. Over the course of a year…read moreand a half, they used up all of my therapy benefits without providing any meaningful progress or long-term treatment strategy. Most sessions consisted of minor massages and very basic exercises, with little effort to actually identify or resolve the root cause of my pain and mobility issues. There was never a clear treatment plan, measurable goals, progress tracking, or reassessments to show whether the therapy was working. I expected professional rehabilitation care with structured improvement, but instead it felt like they were simply keeping me coming back while draining my insurance benefits. After all that time, I saw little to no real improvement. I would not recommend this clinic to anyone looking for serious physical therapy, accountability, or results-driven care.

I can't say enough good things about ABC. For years I had chronic back pain and threw my back out…read moreevery six months or more, had back spasms, and was generally in pain. Since I started going to ABC I have not injured my back once and my pain is basically non-existent--it has been three and a half years now. I also used to run in college, injured my knees, and was told I should stop running for the rest of my life. Dustin has turned my life around--he not only has fixed my back issues, but worked with my improper running form and imbalances I had developed over my lifetime. I've now been running for more than six months injury free and even started competing this summer in half marathons--incredibly I even ran my second fastest mile ever, my first being in college! I can't thank the folks at ABC Gig Harbor enough for all their help--truly given me my life back.
