When we became engaged, we knew we wanted more than a wedding. We wanted a chance to thank those who have offered us their love, advice, and support during these 8-tumultuous years. After our first call with Laurentis , we were confident that they understood our unusual ideas and our goals. And our ideas were unusual. The central theme, a French Inspired Organic wedding, had raised some eyebrows, but it was embraced by the Savvy Orchid team. Their enthusiasm with our vision gave us the confidence to fully pursue our quirky ideas, and their blunt honesty ("It's not going to happen") reined us in when we went a bit too far. They put together a dream team of creative and ambitious vendors, each of whom were a perfect mix of quirky and professional. Though we were on opposite ends of the country at times, it was easy for us to stay on the same page with Laurentis via email, text ,phone calls and FaceTime (yes, FaceTime). Due to scheduling restrictions, we had to cram vendor meetings into four short trips. Despite the hectic schedule, they were endlessly patient and always on top of what was happening. We were so confident with Savvy Orchid's progress that halfway through we asked them to plan a small, game-themed, bar hop bachelor/bachelorette party. As luck would have it, on the evening of our party an epic rainstorm blew in to ruin plans and prevent half of our friends from attending. Rather than succumb to defeat, they still made the wedding a HUGE success. The guests who could attend still brag about the party to anyone who will listen to this day. When the wedding day itself came, to say it was more than I expected is an understatement. Every phase of the wedding was amazing. Though there was a minor hiccup, nothing distracted us from having a wonderful time, appreciating one another, and sharing our love with our family and friends. This year I didn't want to deal with running out of things, bringing ice, etc. I will say we had a BIT of a responsiveness issue in the beginning trying to engage with them, but once we got Mimi on the phone, she was just fantastic. I LOVED the staff that was sent to run our event. All three were fun, professional, hardworking and made some great drinks! We did run out of wine with about an hour left to the event (and we only had beer and wine and two signature cocktails) which was super disappointing, but we made the best of it. I would 100% hire them again, especially if we got the same bartenders and they brought extra wine! The signature cocktails and mocktails they put together were fantastic. Mimi won't let you down!

She and the CapRo team were great resources as we had questions throughout the planning process, giving us advice and connecting us with previous clients who used the vendors we were pursuing. This is not a full service wedding planning team (you still have to talk to your vendors and do some of the planning), but great source of organization and double-checking as you get closer to the day of the wedding. And all of the logistics she took care of the night of the wedding (getting decor back into the right hands, gifts, etc) were invaluable.
