Being out second time down the aisle, neither my husband nor I wanted a big to do-but we wanted the moment to be memorable. I was referred to Don from another officiant, whom quite frankly wanted close to the cost of my very intimate wedding for his services. Reverend Don Toshach was a spectacular officiant! He worked with us for several months to create the best ceremony possible, and made it very easy to work with him over the phone and through email (we live in Washington DC but our wedding was in Southern California, where we are from). He really knows how to make the ceremony personal and fun, while also making it special in a "higher meaning" kind of way. We did not want our ceremony to be too religious, but it was important to me that it incorporated God and some Catholic tradition. Don was really good at helping us keep it balanced in the way we wanted it to be. He was also very helpful with suggestions for readings. After the ceremony, we had several family members compliment the ceremony and my Aunt said it was the best one she had ever heard. Don is also good at improvising, as we totally forgot to get roses to hand to our parents for their recognition. He noticed the roses were missing and went off script by stating that we would recognize our parents with hugs and a warm embrace. I had spent a couple of days calling around, looking for an officiant that was able to meet the unique needs of our destination wedding in San Diego. I have so many things to say about Rev. Don, so I hope this review does him justice because he really has a true talent in creating personal ceremonies and being a great officiant for weddings. He has so much experience officiating weddings (just look at his facebook) that I trusted his advice, and feedback. This was mainly because my husband and I wanted to include our dog, in our ceremony, and Rev Don had legit advice on how to include our dog in our wedding. He also would send several drafts of the ceremony for my husband and I to look over, and together came up with a great final draft that we were all happy with.
