These eclectic antique shops are so much fun! We had a blast wandering through and found a number of furniture pieces we would've bought if we could take them back home on the plane with us! 10/10 recommend checking this lovely store out, which is located in an antique building in a stretch of antique stores. I found a wonderful, antique framed photograph I bought at a great price. The owner was there when we were, he was very nice, chatted with us for a while. The women at the counter weren't particularly warm, but one had just gotten blasted by an obnoxious older guy because he complained that the store charges an extra 6% to customers who pay with a credit or debit card, to cover the fees associated with that. She told him to take it up with the bank and he got really mad and loud about that. So, in fairness, I can understand why when we got to the counter she was a little distant. We'll go back, we prefer high-end true antiques more than newer and flea market type items, but it seemed there were good things at good prices with a bit of searching. Neither one of us wants to start up a small business but would look for an old place like this as a residence while still keeping the historical aspect of the place intact. The location of this place does not lends itself to a residence, definitely a business. We met the owner who was busily working but took the time to answer questions and was most pleasant. This place is an antique and consignment store as the name implies. The owner had this place added to the Michigan historical list which means she is limited to what she can change inside and out keeping the historical integrity of the building. The level of respect immediately went up for me as both my wife and I are big supporters of historical landmarks such as this. The items for sale are displayed nicely and prices clearly marked. It seems like the perfect business for this place bringing in items from old days gone by into a place that must have been quite a sight with trains and passengers coming and going. What a treat this was for both of us.

My purpose in leaving the review(s) I wrote about the antiques shops/"malls" in this area was to save others the drive, the gas, the time, and the disappointment of this misrepresented area. My husband and I go antique-ing every weekend as we are avid collectors. I was an antiques dealer for many years in Grand Rapids, and find it misleading and disheartening when an area advertises itself as an antiques destination only to make a trip to the area and find mostly garage sale junk and one owner who told me the malls have to carry that because they can't survive selling true antiques (I would assert this isn't the case, and can provide a litany of true antiques malls in West Michigan). That being said, I have to applaud any antiques business owner in this area who strives to be a purist and supply true antiques to the area.

Really enjoying and interesting to see and be able to pick up and admire items, pieces of history and fun slices of past times! It was like a trip through time! I will have to come back because there is so much to see. This experience is just so special! Even the bathrooms were filled with antiques (and well taken of).
