Alan has some amazing bikes in there and built out the shop himself.

Meh. Not impressed…read more This is the first time I've rented a motorcycle through EagleRider so I'm not really sure what to expect but I think I expected more. The guy called me because my reservation was for noon and it was already about 2pm. I was "late" because I had been thinking about what time I was going to have to return the bike in two days. Vehicle rentals go by 24 hour periods. So I knew that if I picked it up at noon, it was going to be due back at noon. I was staying in the Fort Hood area and it's about an hour and a half ride to Austin if you take I-35. It's over 2 hours if you avoid highways. And that's if you go straight through without stopping anywhere to rest. I was thinking about how in two days I wasn't going to want to be leaving the Killeen area at 9:30am and heading for Austin. I figured if I picked the bike up around 2:30 or 3pm it would give me a little leeway and make it easier on the day I had to return it. Maybe even give me one last day to get a morning ride in with my friend who I had come all the way from Buffalo, New York to visit. I knew they were open until 5pm so I didn't think this was a big deal. Rick left a voicemail as I was driving. I called him back when we got to where we were going to have lunch before heading over and picking up the bike. He said he had been waiting for me to get there so that he could go to lunch. I didn't realize he was the only one working and that I was holding him up. Whoops. I told him I would hurry through lunch and get there as quick as I could but he said to take my time and enjoy my lunch and that he would run out and grab something to eat right then as well. This was reasonable. I arrived at the dealership and went in. Right away he started explaining to me that they had to "reactivate" this bike just for me because they had sent all of their other rentals to Sturgis. He said that once a bike hits a certain amount of mileage they pull it from the EagleRider program. But since I had paid extra to guarantee this particular model, he said they went ahead and reactivated it and did a thorough tuneup on it just for me. When I got on the bike I noted it had just over 20,000 miles on it. I'm guessing 20,000 is the limit?Anywho, I do wanna mention that he did call me Baby during the course of the transaction, which I did not appreciate but I let it slide and didn't comment on it. Pick your battles, you know? As far as the bike goes I wasn't super fond of it but I'm not gonna hold that against EagleRider. The bike is what it is, I just wasn't a fan. I had the bike in my possession for 48 hours and I only put a total of 323.2 miles on it as I was there to ride with a friend who is a new rider and can't do long distances just yet. They were good miles as long as I was moving. I didn't hate the bike, it just wasn't for me. But it served it's purpose. But back to the experience with EagleRider. When I left the dealership on Tuesday with the bike, Rick told me that since I had picked it up at 2:30pm that day, it was due back at 2:30pm on Thursday. He said there is a one hour grace period but anything beyond that it's $25 an hour. So I knew I had some wiggle room. So here we are on Thursday and I'm returning the bike. I did end up taking I-35 all the way back to Austin so it only took about an hour and a half to get there. I showed up at about 2:15pm, and right away he tells me there's gonna be a few extra charges. I'm like why? He tells me that I'm late turning it in. I looked at my watch and said "I'm not late, and besides I thought you told me I had a one hour grace period". He said he misspoke on Tuesday and that when you pick up the bike late it doesn't actually change the return time. At this point I was becoming annoyed. I'm standing there in full gear, still wearing my chaps, holding my helmet in my hand and sweating in the 100° Texas heat and I said "Well s#*! if I had known that I would've been here earlier". He switched gears immediately and said he would adjust it off. And I was thinking well hell yeah you're gonna adjust it off-- I'm not paying for YOUR mistake. But I just said thank you and gave him a smile. He finished processing the return and we parted ways. I think given some time, the next time I'm in town I will probably give them another chance but I will be pretty skeptical.

We had a great time riding their motorcycles and the staff was more than accommodating however when…read morewe got the final bill they charged us an extra 20% "deposit" per rental that is evidently non-refundable (not stated clearly on their website). The rental per bike was already expensive, then we had the insult of having to pay an extra 20%. Bad business! This review is no reflection on the local employees, they were great to work with and the bikes were great. I don't understand how supposedly reputable businesses can blatantly rip off their customers like this. Beware!
