I made an appointment 7 days prior for a tire changeover from winter to summer tires (I wish I could've done it sooner). A couple of days before my appointment, I called and asked if they could add-on an electrical problem with a headlight and change the headlight and they said yes. I brought my car in a 1/2 hour early. They kept it for over 6 hours before Dennis telephoned me to say they didn't get to work on it because of working on cars from yesterday... really? He apologized and said they could start on it first thing Monday morning. I picked up my car and tires and told Dennis I was very disappointed in being treated this way and I asked if all their customers were treated this way - especially since I made the appointment 7 days prior. Dennis said well, they did have "other" cars to work on... how smug of him. Were the "other" cars on the schedule prior to mine... how ridiculous. This was so disrespectful to me that now, I will not disrespect myself by returning to Hampton Auto Repair to give them my business. It was just a few months ago that I spent over $1,000 there and was a regular customer, but no more. By the way, if I performed My job in this manner there would be consequences. I will say they are honest, but they cant fix it right the first time. I had to take my car back 3 times for the same problem. Not great when you spend $1200 only go start it in their parking lot and its still broke. They made it right, but it took 3 tries. I decided to give them another shot when I had trouble for a different issue a year later since they were so nice and tried hard to make it right, but once again, they couldn't fix the issue. I will never bring another vehicle here ever again. Also, they tell everyone to leave their car off at 8am and they get to it when they get to it. I brought my car in a 4pm the night before and at noon the next day it still hadn't moved. No reason I should have to leave my car there all day for a simple 2 hour brake job.

The mechanics pointed out that the brakes were also on the brink of failure. They did a top notch job (with beautiful welds!) on the exhaust and brakes all around in what has to be record time...and we were a walk-in! We were 3 hrs from home in an unfamiliar area with a broken down vehicle and Muffler Man saved our butts! Definitely would recommend to a friend! Thanks guys!

My two main concerns were price as well as turnaround time. The dealer was quoting at least 3 days and I'm just out of warranty so I get that I'm not exactly going to be a VIP customer. It was a Wednesday morning and I had plans for Friday afternoon. The man that answered told me to bring it in and he'd let me know. I had rear brakes, rotors and a caliper replaced all for a decent price. He also was able to complete it the same day. That was the most exciting part for me. They also do a typical check of all your fluids and topped off my oil. It is safe to say that I have found a go-to place in the Saginaw area.
