They always answer any questions and assist with their check in process. In December of 2024 I learned that they are open 365 days a year! I was very pleasantly surprised. I expressed my surprise and they said the they are a "true" Urgent Care. They also are great a keeping me updated with test results and information about my visit. The providers are very good and they always make sure that all my questions and concerns are addressed before I leave. I highly recommended them!!! One of my favorite things about FastMed is that they allow you to schedule an appointment and do all the required paperwork online. Their site is very user friendly!! They also have locations all over the country.

Doctors seem to know somewhat what they're doing but I was in and out of there 5 times a month complaining of abdominal pain and general malaise, got sent home every singular time but the last without medication or a diagnosis, took a prostate exam and a gay doctor to get things right (I wish i was joking). Gave me an IV and didn't come back to check on it after the time the nurse said she would, and they are very very stingy on giving pain medication. I was sat there groaning and wincing and all I got was a muscle relaxant shot. It made me loopy but did not numb the pain. Just allowed me to shut it out easier. Overall, not an amazing hospital. Would be going elsewhere if there was another major hospital nearby that's code and SOPs prohibit discrimination against gender identity/identity in general. UNC is generally good, but the hospital here in Goldsboro.... needs some work.

My experience with this practice has been extremely disappointing…read more I initially saw Monique Lee in urgent care following a work-related dog bite injury to my hand. At the time, I was experiencing increasing swelling, pain, and concerns about the condition of my wound. During that visit, I had to specifically ask about removing the sutures so the wound could drain. I left the visit without being referred to the emergency room despite expressing concerns about the worsening condition of my hand. Later that same day, I presented to the emergency room because my condition continued to worsen. I was ultimately admitted to the hospital for about a week, underwent two hand surgeries, and was treated for a severe bacterial infection. Following my hospitalization, I required approximately 28 days of IV ertapenem therapy through a PICC line. Given the severity of the infection and the extensive treatment that followed, I believe the seriousness of my condition was underestimated during my urgent care visit. My most recent experience was equally frustrating. I arrived for my scheduled annual primary care appointment with Dr. Shandal Emanuel and was informed that I would not be seen due to an outstanding balance related to my workers' compensation claim. The balance remains unresolved because of an ongoing workers' compensation billing issue. I have been instructed by the workers' compensation carrier not to pay anything out of pocket while the matter is being reviewed, yet I have not been provided clear guidance on how to resolve the bill or confirmation that I would be reimbursed if I paid it myself. Despite explaining this situation, I was turned away from my appointment and denied routine medical care. During my conversation with the office staff, I was told that the doctor would not receive payment unless I paid the bill myself. While I understand the office's desire to be paid, I do not believe it is appropriate to place that responsibility on a patient who is actively involved in an unresolved workers' compensation claim and has been instructed not to pay out of pocket. I understand medical offices have billing policies. However, turning away an established patient over a disputed workers' compensation balance while providing no clear path toward resolution is unacceptable. Between my experience with urgent care, a hospitalization that included two surgeries and nearly a month of IV antibiotics, and being denied a scheduled annual appointment over an unresolved workers' compensation bill, I have lost confidence in this practice and will be seeking care elsewhere.
