The leather was conditioned a little (I probably could have done a better job myself with store bought leather conditioner) and the rest of the shoes were still dirty. As far as the heels, instead of restoring the shoe and smoothing out the heels, he just removed the sole of the heels and placed new ones. One of the sandals had a gaping hole above the new sole. When I expressed my concern and dissatisfaction he told me that I never mentioned fixing the heel to him when I dropped the shoes off. This is false and as a professional, he should have told me what his limitations were at drop off instead of being rude blaming me. I will not return and do not recommend this place.

Edgar replied to my request the same day and provided an estimate after I'd sent him a few photos for reference. The straps were cracking where they attached to the bag. Edgar pointed out that the original straps had a lovely patina from use so instead of replacing them, he reinforced the straps with extra leather, sewing them firmly into place and even conditioned the original straps.
