Had a great time at Revolution last night! Even with GA audiences, the upstairs area gives plenty of room for concert-goers to see the show from multiple viewpoints. Pretty lowkey venue for a mid-week concert. The stage is quite elevated from the floor area, so that was a bit weird to be looking slightly up the whole time. Drinks were good and not TOO expensive, and my service experience was 50/50: one bartender was amazing but the other couldn't answer a single question (i.e. simple things like "what seltzer flavors do you have?"). read more

I recently stopped by to see Nirvanna, the Tribute to Nirvana here. There was also a Creed tribute that opened. Never been to Revolution Live before, but I was pleasantly surprised with the place. And Nirvanna was kick ass. First off parking was pretty easy. They have a parking lot right outside the entrance. It was a little busy, but they wisely put an attendant outside to supervise things and we managed to get a spot without any problem. Parking wound up being $27 which was a little bit high considering the tickets to the show were only 20 bucks. As for the club itself I liked it a lot. There's a general admission floor section right in front of the stage and a wrap around balcony area up top where you can watch in peace, which is fantastic if you're old like me LOL. There's also a curtained off VIP section where you can get "bottle service" for $250, but honestly it didn't seem worth it to me. Maybe if there was a high profile artist playing it would be cool but for a tribute band I didn't see the need. Anyway, had a great time here. I would definitely come back and check out some other artists, in fact I already bought tickets to see Tom Morello from Rage Against the Machine who's playing in here in May. read more

Had an awesome time here watching BLIND GUARDIAN perform live with some friends. We did the VIP experience, and our hostess, Tatiana I think her name was, was excellent. While it was pricey the experience was phenomenal. Parking was a little pricey at the venue so shop around maybe. It's standing room only at the bottom. There was burgers and hotdogs at a grill outside....burgers were delicious. Ambiance was friendly, and rocked! The Power Metal crowd is a great crowd. Opening acts were Seven Kingdoms and Ensiferum, all great, and Blind Guardian was just amazing. Lots of encores, had everyone singing along at the end. Would do again! read more

I've been seeing a lot of tribute bands here lately, so I wanted to I share my review. It's a fair priced ticket to rock out to good tunes in a concert setting. This is a standing room only place (actually there may be about 10 barstools), unless you buy a VIP ticket which is limited to a small area upstairs with a few tables and chairs. There's multiple bars around the place and the bartenders are all great! This is an older venue, so don't be surprised that the floors are a little wonky (I recommend close-toed shoes), but it doesn't change the sound and the performances! It's set up with a pit and 2 stories of a U-shaped surround for the fans. If you want to have a spot with an unobstructed view (and maybe score one of those 10 bar stools), definitely get there early. Most tickets will show what time the doors open and what time the show starts, so you can plan accordingly. There's no smoking inside, but people are definitely vaping in there. Sometimes they open the door to the adjacent bar (Stache) and ground floor restrooms, but the last 4 shows I have been to it was closed off and restrooms were upstairs only. I'm sure if someone has mobility needs they would accommodate. The only food they have are bags of chips by the front bar and there's usually a hot dog stand set up outside by the entrance. At the end of the day, it's a older venue hosting a lot of tribute bands and some less popular nationally recognized bands. If you want an assigned seat and get annoyed with crowds, this is not a place for you. But otherwise, I'm glad we still have a place locally to enjoy live music before the site is lost to redevelopment. Enjoy some pics from my recent concerts. read more

Pretty easy venue to get to. Parking in the area is expensive, recommend carpooling or ubering. The venue itself is nice. I will say the staff is always super friendly. No food but great drinks. I went to go see Unchained last Friday, August 7, 2026. They are a Van Halen tribute band. I had seen them at Galuppis and the Dania Casino for a total of 5 times in the past. They are my favorite tribute band because the look like, sound like and perform like Van Halen did when they were young. Revolution destroyed their music by having a 140 plus decibel sound level that distorted their music so bad that you could not understand the vocals, guitars and about the only thing you could possibly understand was the drums and way too much bass. Unchained, always sounded EXACTLY like you were listening to a Van Halen record, by having a clear, clean sound. BUT NOT ON LAST FRIDAY NIGHT!!! My ears were ringing the next morning AND I EVEN PUT EAR PROTECTORS. It was torture enough that there are no seats at all in the place. My wife walks with a cane and a knee brace because she broke her Femur bone. IF YOU RESPECT YOUR EARS AND DON'T WANT TO NEED HEARING AIDS WHEN YOU ARE 40 YEARS OLD, DON'T EVER GO THERE!!!. I even spoke to the DJ afterwards and he admitted that the sound system was to much for the size of the place. So I said, "Just lower the volume button. He knew I was right and just said that some bands want it that way. The City of Fort Lauderdale sound bring a "Sound Meter" there to declare that place an unsafe hazard for your eardrums. Concert was at Backyard and there were so many people inside Revolution watching the concert from a crappy monitor including my friend and I. The bartenders didn't move from the register to help patrons, so there were huge lines. On a positive note, The staff was helpful and friendly. Lawrence ~ Family Business Tour ~ get into it This is my first time going to Revolution live for a concert. I've been there for several other events and pop-ups, but this was on unbelievable. I didn't think that the acoustics will be so amazing. It was so queen and beautiful and the lighting was fabulous. I love the fact that you can see everything from the balconies, which give you a birds iview and it's awesome. It was a completely packed house. I feel like they must have sold out the show because it was completely fall. The bars were completely accessible and there was really a bar anywhere you want so it was great to be able to grab your drink because it was so fire and we were so pumped up that it was hot so I was drinking water like a camel in the desert so it was nice to have free access to all the bars. The entire place was completely easy to maneuver and move around. I love the fact that there were bathrooms upstairs and downstairs so you didn't have to go up and down to go to the bathroom that was a huge plus specially in a jam packed space. I thought that it was gonna be too loud too much for a concert there but this completely changed my mind and I will definitely be looking at future concerts to attend. read more

We have had a great time at every event that we have been to at this venue. Revolution Live is located centrally in the happening area of Fort Lauderdale. If you're up a short walk you can get there on food from Las Olas, Riverwalk Area, or Esplanade Park. There are bars and restaurant all throughout the nearby streets so if you're coming for an event and need a bite ahead of time you'll have plenty of options! We have been to Revolution live for everything from craft and art shows to music festivals. The venue is intimate and uniquely built in my opinion. There is an upstairs balcony area if you don't enjoy standing in the pit and prefer an aerial view! The sound quality is great throughout the venue. They host some great musics acts, cover bands, and even dance party nights. The bar has fun cocktails in tap as well as a great beer selection. The bartenders have always been very on top of it and quick when we have been there for a show. We have also been for large craft and art shows. For these events they have utilized outdoor area as well as inside of the venue, with various vendors all over the premise. I came here for "The Taylor Party" event on April 4, 2025. While Revolution Live is a very popular music venue, the experience of getting in was a bit frustrating. Staff gave conflicting directions about where to wait, and we weren't allowed inside until after the advertised start time of 8:00 pm. On top of that, security check-in didn't begin right away, so the actual event didn't kick off until 9:00 pm. Despite the rocky start, once I got in, everything went great! Long story short (not apologizing for the Taylor Swift reference), it was so much fun singing and dancing along to all the hits with a room full of Swifties! read more

Revolution is, plain and simple, a magnificent venue. It's intimate yet not claustrophobic; the sense of proximity to the talent on stage makes you feel like it's a personal concert. The set up is great. Lines don't feel long, and it's not hard to access. When you walk in you're immediately greeted by a towering bar filled with all the types of delicious drinks and liquor you may want to get the party started. And once it starts, it never stops. Since Revolution is located in River front and is connected to America's Backyard, concerts extent way past closing and bleed into the streets of Downtown Fort Lauderdale. The show we went to see was a Nirvana/Linkin Park Tribute Band led by Elijah Mitchell. They were amazing. The atmosphere was electric and the crowd, as expected, was insanely fun! They lost themselves into every song. All and all, Revolution is the place for concerts in Fort Lauderdale. If you ever have a chance to go, don't think it twice. Revolution live is one of those venues I feel like everyone you talk to about, knows. It could be for the better or for the worse but I definitely think it depends on why you're there and who you're there for. When it's a relatively calm band, the crowd and pit area, which is general admission as is the entire venue, can be nice and relaxing. However if it's a metal band or heavier band, if you're not ready for moshing and pits, the pit area will be chaos and agony for you. I for one tolerate this venue because the bands I listen to tour here relatively often however the staff always seems to be bothered to be working here and are always short tempered when it comes to their security with even the smallest things. The prices for tickets are always good and if you get them the day of the show they area few more dollars. The air conditioner always seems to end up off or running less by the end of the night and it gets very warm very easily here. I also am not a fan with how many people they claim is the capacity because it always feels like we're jammed in their like sardines. They have a second floor but if you don't have bottle service it fills up along the barricade insanely fast and you won't be able to see much. Overall a nice little venue but for me the cons outweigh the pros. Especially when it comes to drink prices here, even if it's just water or soda! read more

My friends and I had a great time watching The Ordinary Boys and Love Song tribute bands. The staff was great and very friendly. Their Marketing Manager, Jade, is the best and thankful she alerts me to great shows. The venue provides 3 different levels for viewing the bands, which is awesome. You do have to go up a level or two for the bathrooms, but that is probably the only downside I found that night. Aside from concerts, there are other venues attached, which make for a fun time. Drinks are priced a bit higher, but on par for the area, and not as high as some venues. I like that they are also the location for the Indie Craft Bazaar. Revolution has been renamed and slightly revamped over the years, but I am just happy it is still surviving. I look forward future events! read more

I came For the Black Market Horror Fest which has been happening for a few years now. You have to buy tickets for this event. It's on the gothic side. Your ticket gets you access to a haunted house, live music, vendors, and more. I actually was looking forward to the haunted house. The parking was street parking. Some places had a flat rate. I saw a few garages but they were a little farther down. I came around eleven and it was starting to get crowded. I was glad I found a space. As you get into Revolution Live they do a bag check. I came across a big creepy security guard. At first, I thought it was part of the act but later on realized it wasn't. I thank the other security guy for saving the day. Towards the entrance, they had tables with vendors, many vendors. Inside Revolution Live they had a concert going. It sounded great. So many people having a great time. The haunted house was on the second level. That second level was a good safe place to watch the mash pit. The haunted house was not what I hoped for. I was disappointed. We went here for a concert with my teenager , wasn't sure what to expect especially being downtown, didn't know if we should be worried bringing my teen there . But it was such a cool vibe ! The music was great! The crowd was so much fun! They even lifted my son up in the crowd for a wave ! Everyone was having a great time and the bartenders are super nice and accommodating. What a horrible venue especially if it's someone you've wanted to see. Went to see Teddy Swims tonight and honestly his vocals deserved a much better venue. Especially when paying almost $200 for tickets and the views were horrible from all vantage points . You go to the upper level and view is blocked too. Unless you're over 6ft good luck seeing anything at this crappy venue. It was so bad that towards the second half of the show people were leaving because it was over sold and the venue isn't supposed to be for that. Lets get to the bartender on the second floor- man he was soo loud with complete disregard that there was a talented performer on stage but he wanted to obnoxiously loud that people next to us said that he was bothering them too. We came for a Saved by the 90s event, and the band was great. It was not so overly crowded, which would have made it less enjoyable for me. According to other reviews, it really depends on the band you come to see because it sounds like they oversell tickets. There is really nothing special about this place, other than the fact that it's a medium sized concert venue, which gives you a good view of the stage from wherever you are. The staff is not particularly helpful nor friendly, and the venue is a little dirty. Overall, I would come back for specific concerts, but I would definitely want to arrive early for a popular band. read more

I have been here several times and never wrote a review till now. The place is pretty decent for what you're paying to do there. We went to a concert for a cover band of KISS. It's was ok. I would have rather seen the real band though. The venue doesn't serve food but they have whatever you would want to drink. We came for a bachelorette party per the brides request. 4 of us got there earlier than the bride and we got charged a cover ($25 per person) so we paid $100 to enter this DEAD club with literally no people in the building. When the rest of our group got there we asked if they were charged a cover and they said no. We clarified that they paid $0 to enter the same establishment that we paid $100 total to enter. Secondly, we asked for mich ultra at the bar which the "bar tender" said they did not have but the person beside us ordered Mich ultra and received with no problem (from the same "bar tender") when asked about it, the "bar tender" said oh maybe we do have it?? She then got us the Mich ultra. LASTLY, we asked the bouncer upon leaving what the policy was for charging and explained that we got charged and no one else did in our group, the bouncer explained that "it's up to the staffs discretion and they choose who pays and who doesn't pay and what the price is" which is absolutely disgusting. Excellent venue for indoor / outdoor concerts. Saw Soja last night - although it was likely a sold out show, it didn't feel cramped. Sound was on point for all performers. More than ample adult bev concessions. We watched the main act from the inside large screen stage. Definitely follow this venue for a wide variety of genres. This is my first punk rock concert, standing room only, and I'm 50. So take that into consideration, lol! I LOVED that the concert was held outside. I can't imagine being inside standing with 1,100 other people. The food trucks right outside of the venue were great. Security was on point but not overbearing. All the concert goers, although squished like sardines, were considerate and polite when having to cut through etc. There was some slam dancing that began towards the back of the crowd but it was quickly shut down. There just wasn't any room for that towards the back. We saw Social Distortion and Bad Religion. Both performances were amazing. The sound and lights were great. Now...will I be back for another concert, probably not. My body found it hard to take the standing in one place for so many hours. We would only do this for Social Distortion. But, if you can take it, the energy was awesome and a great experience. read more

I went to see Nahko & The Medicine People. Stellar performance. The venue itself has been around so long & they have done such great renovation over the years. They need to touch up on the sound a bit but other than that, it was AMAZING! The overall level of service could be spiced up a little bit & the prices were per decent. Thank you Revolution & Nahko & The Medicine People. I do wish that Nahko & his Team replied a bit more to their social media profiles but I guess I understand why they might not.
