When we speak of a hidden gem, Hiyde lives up to that. It is located in a small unassuming plaza and when you step inside you are transported to a luxurious lounge. The customer service starting from the host, the waiters/waitresses, down to the owner was truly amazing. You could tell it is a huge focus for them as they were so engaged throughout the evening. The night I went there were 2 music sets, a gentleman that playing drums which was followed by a person on a saxophone. Both were impressive as they did some originals and covered songs. Hip hop and RnB with a jazz twist or fusion type of vibe. When it came to the food everything was excellent. My favorite was definitely crab cakes by far, the Mac and cheese delivered and the steak despite being a little salty was still pretty good. The beignets I could do without the lemon filling, which is perhaps my only suggestion. Will absolutely be back as this is perfect for a date night or a little rendezvous with a small group of friends in an intimate setting. Highly recommended to do reservations as it gets booked very quickly.

We live a couple hours away and was in the area for Business and my boyfriend surprised me and told me he dinner reservations and a upscale jazz place.I was so shocked because the outside looks nothing like the inside.when he opened the door and I heard the saxophonist playing my mouth dropped. The romantic, adult vibe, and food was an experience like no other. Our waitress was Bree she was so sweet and gave us suggestions on the menu. The bathrooms and restaurants was clean.staff was top tier on customer service.I don't know who the chef was but it's my top favorite restaurant.the jerk chicken pasta was sooo good I hate I didn't get another one to go.I would go here with my girls, birthday, date night or just a solo .The artist was so talented and the playlist was actually rnb and old school and new the songs which was nice.we spent $40 for the cover charge and about $120 and the gratuity was included ...if I could do 20 stars I would.I am definitely coming back this year

Hidden gem!! Absolutely love this place! Had the crab cakes, they are really good and not just stuffed with breading! The sangria had me one and done! Lol it was really good. Staff super nice. Got a birthday song played for me. And the music, man of man! Rick Roman (ig: @musicbyrickroman) was phenomenal!! 10/10! I'll be back!

Saxophonist with A & N gave an outstanding performance. Walked around to guests to give a personal experience.

My husband and I wanted to have a little date night after the beach and I remember seeing a post about this Jazz spot that serves actual food so we had to try. Made reservations and arrived on a Thursday night at 7:30. The place was not hard to find although it's a little tucked away. First impression: walking in we were immediately greeted with sounds of music coming from the stage they had a live performer which was pretty cool. The hostess greeted us and sat us immediately in which we chose the couch area in the corner so we could see everything. The place was dimly lit and it was kinda tropical but nice in the black and gold ambience. The couch was comfortable no complaints there. Service was great she checked on us often and answered all our questions. We were celebrating date night so we had a glass of red wine which she let us try two separate ones which made it easy to choose. I forgot to take a picture of the menu but it's something for everyone on the menu. We also met one of the owners who has an amazing voice he sung a few songs and it was quite refreshing. He came over to the table and held conversation which was cool. The food: So I ordered the baked chicken with collard greens and Mac. My husband ordered steak with collard greens and Mac. Ok so the flavors on the chicken was delicious. There was some soul and Caribbean put behind those flavors which were amazing. The only thing was the chicken was a little dry but the flavor man I can look past it being a little dry. The collard greens had a lot of stems in them but it also held a good flavor. The Mac and cheese I like it but my husband felt it was a little thick on the cheese sauce. I enjoyed mine but everyone has their own flavor profile they like. The steak my husband said it was seasoned wonderfully but the steak was more on the well done side versus the medium steak he ordered but good nonetheless. So all together the food gets a 7.9 out of 10. I did order the strawberry cheesecake which was surprisingly light and airy like no guilt behind the pleasure. Overall this was a nice intimate experience. It was only my husband and I and two other young ladies here at this time which was cool because we got a chance to experience this place without a crowd which I enjoyed. They played music throughout the time we were there and it wasn't too loud that you couldn't hold conversation it was just right. It is a small place so I wouldn't enjoy being there during a crowd I don't like big crowds anyways. So this was a perfect end to our date night and we will definitely come back again. Must try for yourself...thank me later

I was completely sober because I don't drink, so I was fully aware of everything happening around us. The treatment we received was extremely unprofessional. At approximately 1:57 AM, we witnessed the bartender kissing a girl over the bar, and around 2:11 AM, they were still being very physical and all over each other while working. We also witnessed that same bartender taking sips from drinks using the straw method, which was concerning to see while drinks were being prepared and served. We were also told that every single person at the table had to order a drink or we would have to leave, even though the other five people in my party had already ordered. I don't drink alcohol, but I felt pressured into ordering something anyway because I didn't want to ruin my birthday celebration or my friends' experience. What made the situation even more disrespectful was when we simply asked for cups of ice water, and the bartender made a sly comment saying, "you guys are drunk." Asking for water should never result in a sarcastic or judgmental comment from a bartender. I especially found it inappropriate considering I was completely sober. The waiter's attitude was also rude and unwelcoming. For a place that automatically adds 22% gratuity, I would expect professional and respectful service. Instead, we felt pressured to spend money while receiving poor service and unnecessary comments from the staff. This was supposed to be a fun birthday celebration, but the way we were treated left a terrible impression. There are plenty of other speakeasies where customers can spend their money and actually feel welcomed and respected. After this experience, I would rather take my business somewhere else.

The ambiance of the place is lovely, decorated with string lighting that looks so gorgeous at night. The patio area is much bigger than I anticipated and even has some larger tables for any larger parties. We started off with an appetizer of the peach burrata, which was tasty! I would give it 4/5. We then got wine flights which I thought were such a great value for the price. You get 3 small sized wine glasses for $15 and get to sample three wines! Definitely recommend this 5/5. As entrees, we shared two entrees - the pesto pasta and the gnocchi which at the time was made with a pork type of sauce. Both were very delicious and we really enjoyed the flavors of both. The consistency of the gnocchi's sauce was a bit interesting, as it was all sort of blended together, but the flavor was very good! Would give them each 4/5. We ended the night with tiramisu - delicious and the presentation was very cute. I haven't had very much tiramisu to compare against, but I'll give it 5/5 as I really enjoyed it! As for service, our waitress was very attentive and nice but note that they can get busy on weekend evenings, so expect a little bit of a wait. Overall, I had a great time and enjoyed the food. The restaurant seats more than 50. It's sleek with lots of black and red (to match its name). Except for one other table, it was practically empty on a Wednesday evening. Our first waitress was friendly. She brought our beverages and took our orders. After that, we got a different young lady. She also was cordial. (But got a bit testy when I went to find her so we could pay the check and leave.) We got the smothered chicken, smothered pork, fried chicken, three beverages, and two desserts. Let's start with the desserts. The peach cobbler crust was a bit thick and the peaches tasted like they were from a can. The red velvet cake was mediocre. Definitely not specially made. Now the sides. The corn bread was perfect. The red velvet corn bread was a treat. The greens were good. The rice was soaked in gravy. The yams were way too sweet. The entrees were the standout. The chicken only comes in wings. Nevertheless, they were seasoned and fried well, had a light breading, and were meaty. The pork chops were moist and savory. The smothered dishes weren't really smothered and could have used some more gravy, which lacked onions. But that didn't stop us from thoroughly enjoying them. Dinner for 3 with 3 beverages, 3 entrees, 2 desserts, tax, and tip was about $110. We hope to return and try the catfish, the turkey, and the liver and onions. P.S. A small group came in while we were eating and one of the diners was vaping. Isn't that illegal in restaurants? I was hoping the management would stop him. But he was there for about the last 15-20 minutes of our meal and continued to vape a few feet away from us.
