It's a pretty decent bowling zone for people of all ages. They are mostly booked and it's recommended to reserve 5 days at least in advance. The food is also pretty good and reasonably priced for the snacks. The staff are helpful and kind. The only thing i was disappointed with are the 30 year old computers that keep a track of the score. I went during off-peak hours, and it was $6 a game, which was an honestly fantastic value. However, the venue and the equipment are very outdated. The scoring and pinsetter glitched several times in one and a half hours of playtime. Fortunately, the staff was friendly enough to keep resetting it for us. They probably knew their machines were unreliable. There aren't many bowling balls, and they are also very worn and scratched. You know these balls have seen the rise and falls of civilizations. They have darts, mini arcade and pool tables. The mini arcade wasn't working. We came to throw darts and brought our own (they don't have darts anymore), but you need loonies for the dart board and there's nowhere to exchange money. The entire Bowling Centre is apparently cashless. You also can't take food/drinks to that area. We decided to bowl for an hour. The first 40 minutes was fine, then our lane started acting up, which was super annoying. We would knock down a few pins the first round, then the machine would give us full pins for the 2nd round. I recommend getting a poutine, it's huge! I liked the thick gravy and big chunks of cheese curds. I also like that they gave us a ton of forks & napkins. Tried this place recently and the place seemed way out of date and more on the dirty side than anything. The washrooms were a mess with paper towel all over the floor, and toilets that hadn't been flushed which was pretty gross. The staff obviously don't check them to make sure they are acceptable. It was fun to bowl again but we'll be looking for a place that has staff that keep the place clean. Also, when you pay they give you a piece of paper for your vehicle so it doesn't get ticketed. You have to head back out to the parking lot to put it on the dash, what's with that? They should work out a better arrangement with whoever patrols the parking lot like maybe installing a machine that gives you free time to park if you go into the bowling alley. read more

Customer service: 4 Stars I had booked 2 lanes for friends/family package in weekend. But unfortunately not many people gathered and needed to cancel one lane and change the plan to $2/game + $4/shoes rental. At end, we could save some money and more enough time to play. This is hands down my favourite place to bowl. It's in a convenient location right by Holdom skytrain station, and has plentiful free parking! Some nights (mostly week nights) there are special rates, and late-night cosmic bowling. They also have darts, a mini arcade and pool tables. What's not to love about reliving your childhood, knocking down some pins, having some pizza and beer and hanging out with friends? One indoor game that i love of all times is -bowling ,10 pins, duckpin.. ( synonyms) There are times when i dont bowl at all (wen i have grown my nails big) n then at times , quite frequently (during times wen poor nails are chopped short) Most bowling places are open till late nite and revs bowling is one and only that is not only open late but happening until its closed. I love the energy in this alley. Huge hall of 20 lanes, corner occupied with two bog pool tables who light under the lights looks like a huge field. Powerpoint of slides play latest English songs at high volume which creates a current in air. I realize that people who are little intoxicated must be having better games then us who were struggling to beat each other .(differnce in reality and dream. ) A single game is $20.00 which is not what i pay at other bowling lanes. Looks like there have been a few changes since the last time I was here. They've finally made the main parking lot free. You do need to grab a pass off the front counter though. On Mondays, highballs are only $2.25(!?). Not sure if it's legal, but I think I just found my go-to watering hole. Can you even mix your own highballs at home for this cheap? Oh yeah, there's bowling here too. Almost forgot. The interesting thing about the bowling system here (maybe it's a common feature but none of us had seen this anywhere) is that you can actually split the same game between 2 lanes. You enter the names into the same pool, and if there are 8 of you (for example), Player 1 starts in lane A, and Player 5 starts in Lane B. The kicker is that after each player moves to the adjacent lane after finishing each frame. It keeps everyone going at the same pace, and keeps everyone involved. Special mention for this nifty little system. Now if only they'd upgrade from those 1990s-era CRTs.. Lastly, the bowling was quite cheap, at $9 for 4 games, including shoe rentals. I wanted to like this place. They are so close to success but fell flat at the end of the day. 1) front desk staff struggle with basic questions. 2) pro shop isn't open ever. 3) the screens on the lanes are so old they are barely legible when setting up the bowler names. 4) food area looks like a black hole, no lighting, wouldn't even know it's there. 5) they aren't serving alcohol?! 6) the lanes are in rough shape. With the black lights on you could see how dry and warped they are. 7) a zillion toy/candy/vending/games machines that take change. No ATM. NO CHANGE at front desk. NO CHANGE MACHINE! Been here bowling a few times. It's ok as far as bowling alleys go. It's off lougheed in Burnaby, so a bit away from the hustle and bustle. They have a sizeable parking lot. You do need to go in and get a parking pass though (free), so remember to do this. The alley itself has a good number of lanes. There is also an area for some other games like darts, air hockey, etc. There is a lounge/restaurant area as well. We had the pizza last time, it wasn't great... well, I'd have to say it wasn't even good, but not bad enough to call it bad. It's kind of what you expect from a bowling alley.. the toppings were sparse, and there wasn't much flavour, and the texture was kind of like McCain's pizza. I find that typically Nacho's are done better at bowling alleys so next time I'll try that. Bowling itself was enjoyable. At one point, our pin resetting machine thing broke and someone had to come fix it, but that was pretty much the only snafu. So I'd say it's overall ok. read more

REVS did a good job keeping up with the times and updating the place. They let you text in songs to a phone number free of charge to request songs. The songs are put into a queue and are played along with the video on multiple screens while you're bowling. Not sure when this was set up, but I haven't been here for a long time now. I loved this. My friends and I kept requesting the cheesiest songs and we laughed so hard while having our beers and of course bowling. One of the better bowling alleys to play at, this has plenty of room and a eating area fit for large groups. Drinks and munchies are available to order which is great for re-energizing yourself whilst bowling a tight game against your group of friends. I am mainly reviewing the fitness center that is attached to the side of this Bowling place. It is very basic, and def not your typical Steve Nash or Golds Gym in terms of scale or quality. Can't beat $5 unlimited 2 hour bowling! You can catch this deal (unless they changed it) Monday-Thursday from 3pm-5pm. the price includes shoe rentals too! it's a fun bowling alley! Depending on when you go, they have cosmic bowling (i guess as with most bowling centres). They also have a "bar" area which is OKAY i suppose. Every time i go, i barely see anyone eating in there, but you can order your food and alcohol at your lanes and eat there which is nice. REVS doesn't make you eat behind an area as with some lanes do. The lines at the front CAN get insane and you might be waiting there for a bit, all depends on when you go i guess! They do charge you for parking there, i guess to prevent people from leaving their cars there and flying off on the skytrain. In case you don't know Town & Country Bowling has been closed for the last week or so cuz of water damage. I don't know when it's going to be open again. Anyways we ended up going to Revs in Burnaby to bowl instead. It has been many years since I last went to Revs. It's a large and very spacious bowling alley. I would say Revs has almost 50 bowling lanes. We showed up around 8 pm and it was pretty quiet. We ended up playing 2 games $4.00 per game. Not too bad. But they have a deal for week day after 9 pm bowling. $5.00 for the first game and $1.00 per game thereafter. That's a pretty good deal. The clientele is family orientated. Not too many low brow Neanderthals like you get at Town and Country. The only drawback is their low usage of air con! The bowling alley gets pretty piping hot in these summer months. I know the owners are trying to save on the air con bill but I hate sweating like a pig when I'm just bowling! Outside of the air con issue I like Revs Bowling. I'll probably come back! read more

Honestly, usually I would have the time of my life here. Today when I went at the bar area I asked for 2 inception shots (which by the way were on the menu). He told us flat out no. We asked why, and he said it was too busy... even tho it was on the menu and there was literally only 2 people waiting behind me. He kept saying no and telling us to calm down. Terrible experience for a serious bowler. The lanes are dented and dry, the pins are old and beat, the house balls are in bad shape, the machinery is constantly malfunctioning... If you have your own ball you're taking a risk using these lanes. The lane I bowled on tonight was BONE DRY. Not a single line on my ball after an entire game. Got a big knick on it from the ball return as well. The owners are clearly not maintaining anything and just waiting to sell the land so it can be torn down to build condos. Fun bowling location and good staff. Biggest issue is the nights on weekend. Many times the crowd is looking for trouble so I recommend you avoid evenings on Fridays & Saturdays if you want to do a family outing. Food is quite good for a bowling alley. Recommend the fried chicken platter as it is good and great value. The pizza is also good and the double cheeseburger is artery clogging and good. One of my go tos is Caesar salad with Thai chicken bites (my own creation). Chicken fingers and grilled cheese are good for the kids. Bowling, like most sporting activities, is a weak spot for me. But boy, am I good at the game called gutter ball! My own version of the game is not intentional, but let's just say at Rev's I won. GB champion. Hazaaa!! As Mark H mentioned, the highlight of this place is the fresh-baked pretzels. These things are baked with all the love of a bowling alley and 1,000 doting Italian grandmothers put together. Delish. The downside to this place: pay parking. Now, if I'm driving out to suburbia I expect that a large, unpopulated lot is free. Not so much here (b/c it's beside the skytrain). SInce I assumed that there would be free parking I strolled past the pay parking signs (completely oblivious) and returned to a shiny ticket on my car. This place is fantastic...you need to get on the REVS bandwagon people. They have a ton of lanes and cosmic bowling on the weekends, while it's not the cheapest place to get your bowl on, it's worth it. They have a wide selection of foodstuffs, with table service at each of the lanes (just press a button and your server will appear). Don't be fooled by the fact that it's a bowling alley - the food is great, I've had flat bread (with a Peruvian pepper on it), pretzels, chicken fingers etc - it's all been really good. They also have a BBQ joint, and a pizza joint which you can order from. Other key points - a cool video karaoke system with bumpin' tunes, and a friendly staff. I would come here again just for their pretzels. Bowling is cool and all but these pretzels are salt covered greatness. Baked fresh to order, these are in a pretzel league of their own. Perfectly decorated with an even sprinkling of rock salt, I wouldn't change a thing. Tearing off a piece reveals the warm, moist interior that speaks "don't you dare drown me in any kind of sauce". After more than 5 years of courting my boyfriend finally took me bowling last night - and Rev's was the place thanks to the liquor service at the lanes. I checked their website for hours, and discovered they have a promo going every night - I caught Monday Madness which made our bowling very inexpensive. $9 each got us two games and shoes. I like they don't have the awkward normal lane set up, it much more comfortable with tables (no sitting in a line). My only complaints were all the light bowling balls had small finger holes - and my fake nails kept getting caught and damaged because of that. It was a super busy night and we decided to play another game, unfortunately when I went to pay the staff had just given the lane to someone else (I was standing right behind in line holidng $5)... ah well cie l'vie. I bowled there last night, and like all the other times I've gone, the experience was great. Its a huge venue with a helpful staff, a full service bar and pub food, TV monitors (often playing sports highlights) and a decent sound system. Music is played after 9:30pm. Weekends. Revs "nightlife" on weekends gets fun. The crowds tend to be a little rowdier than normal (as expected from a Friday/Saturday night), but it's still open to everyone. They also crank up some beats (usually Top 40) and get some disco lighting goin on to set the weekend mood. TIP: Revs is PACKED on Friday/Saturday nights. Get there by 9:30pm with your full party, or you have to wait it out (anywhere from 30-90mins after 10pm). Its always a good idea to call in to check on the wait. Weeknights. I came here for one of my friend's birthday parties on a Friday night. REVS Bowling is located on Lougheed Highway. In order to easily access the parking lot, you are better off traveling down Douglas Road, then turning left onto Goring Street. You have to pay for parking if you park in their actual parking lot at either the front desk or at the machine outside the front entrance. We arrived at 8 PM, and since we couldn't get reservations we got on the wait list. They give you a pager so you can hit up the bar while you're waiting for your lanes to open up. We had to wait about ~25 minutes, but that's not too bad for a Friday night. Some reviews mention that you have to buy food to purchase alcohol, but that didn't seem to be the case for us, since we ordered a few pitchers of beers and no food between the 12 of us. It cost us $17/person to play 2 games, but that cost just increased on December 1st to $20/person on a Friday night. I thought that was a bit expensive for 2 games of bowling - especially compared to other bowling alleys in the Lower Mainland. I guess you're paying for the perks of being able to drink alcohol right at the lanes and having 10 pin bowling on a Friday night. The drinks actually weren't overpriced, and I really enjoyed the lychee-bacardi 151 shots for $3.35+tax. A warning about the shoes: They are velcro bowling shoes that have split sizes (7/8, 9/10, etc.). I'm a size 7.5/8 depending on the shoe brand, and the size 7/8 shoes were HUGE. I wasn't the only one who had this complaint in our group, so consider sizing down. The bowling itself was pretty good. There is a good selection of bowling balls ranging from 8 to 15 pounds. I'm terrible at bowling, but I still had a great time. Both games ended prematurely, with the light turning off at our bowling lane while 2 people still had one turn left. The staff fixed it pretty quickly, but that's definitely an error that should be fixed. The music playlist is a bit crazy. Way too many ballads and rap music, and not nearly enough dance music. I did like that they show the music videos, but whoever is in control of the music has a really interesting opinion of what music is appropriate to bowl to. A few reviews mention that you can text a number to request songs, and I wish I would have known that because that would have been awesome! I didn't actually use the bathroom, but the girls in our group mentioned that most of the toilets were clogged, and what wasn't clogged was dirty. You don't expect bowling alley bathrooms to be super clean, but that's just terrible. Overall, bowling is a great group activity and this bowling alley does offer a lot of perks. I just don't think it's the best bowling alley out there in the Lower Mainland. read more

It's always a fun time at REVS Bowling. Since I was a kid, bowling has been one of those things you do to kill time and have fun. Doesn't matter how well (or poorly) you bowl, you still do it regardless. The bowling aspect of REVS is what it is. There are multiple lanes available, shoe rentals fit for all sizes, and bowling balls for all strengths. Food, however, is another story. Don't expect the freshest salads or perfect pizzas. Cooking is not their forte! Despite this, anyone can still have a great time at REVS without eating. What a night! My body is still sore from the bowling adventures of my friends and I! When my girls night changed to a double date the plans on seeing a movie changed to a night of bowling! How fun that choice was. Imagine if you can 1 manly man who hasn't played in 20 years trying to bowl along side 1 girly girl that does the little kid toss between the legs throw. What a sight to see. The other 2 of us could actually bowl but the more beers I had the less likely it was to go where I wanted it. I cheered on my gutter balls!!!! Of course the manly man posted the highest score but also the lowest score in the three games we played lol. For four of us to play it was $60 for 3 games which included the shoe rental, which worked out to $15 a person. Realistically not too bad at all. You'd pay the same for a movie and not have near as much fun as we did. To be honest I am not sure if it was the venue or the company that I was keeping that gave my abs a work out that they haven't seen in awhile. Ohhh the amazing fitness of laughing so hard you cry. Revs is a nice big place with a lot of lanes. I think we were at 19 and that may have been only half way down the alley! The bathrooms however leave a little to be desired. They were cluttered and not too clean. I was surprised to see that there were only 4 stalls for the women. As ladies we all know that 4 stalls is not enough when it comes to a packed venue! At the end of out 3 games the 4 of us decided we were going to race one another. Yes, there is a 4 seater car video game where you can race your friends for bragging rights. Somehow I screwed up the first time and raced myself and won hee hee. Then once I figured out how to actually get into the correct place in the game I can in 2nd and 3rd. Not too bad. Middle of the pack! One thing I did like was the table service of the bevvies! Wow! Didn't have to go to the bar at all. LOVED IT!!!! Yay, my first venture into the world of reviews! I was here today (well yesterday technically, they are open late) with a few friends to get a few drinks and bowl. My experience was quite good. The bartender ..Andy or Adam (I can't remember his name) went above and beyond to make sure our groups high maintenance order came out correctly. The staff member who I.D'd me with the tattoos and blonde hair was a funny high energy guy. He was also helping to run food even though he had a security name tag on ... it seemed quite busy. The nachos have SO much cheese on them, me and my friends kept calling it the mountain of cheese .. "would you like some more chips with your cheese sir?" LOL. They were really good though. Not all nachos are created equal! My two issues would have to be the fact that the women's bathroom was out of toilet paper and a little bit messy. The one girl on shift was REALLY rude and seemed to be really unhappy with either her job or the way her day was going. She had quite the condescending and sarcastic attitude so I tried to avoid asking her for help. We joked about daring each other to ask her for help because she was so rude lol. I was going to tell her about the toilet paper in the bathroom but she was bowling with her guy friend and told me to speak to the boy working at the desk (who was quite attentive to fix our lane the two or three times we had an issue). If she was on break or not on shift she should take off her uniform or at least put a jacket over it if she is just going to hang out with her friend and bowl. Come on now lady! Other than the dirty women's washroom and the girl with the attitude problem, my experience was great overall! I would definitely say that the bar and food side of things are much better than the bowling service based on what I experienced today. Would definitely come back though. I also heard they do corporate parties and have pizza packages?! I am thinking about talking to my colleagues about doing a new years eve party there. Recommended overall!
