Choose 2 Appetizers from: -Fried Gyoza -Takoyaki -Spicy Edamame -Truffle fries -Onion rings -House Salad Choose 2 mains: -Spaghetti meatballs -Carbonara Pasta -Alfredo Wagyu Pasta -Truffle mushroom burger + fries -Chicken burger + fries -Wagyu burger + fries ($3 add on) -Lobster Bisque Pasta ($5 add on) -Steak Frites ($6 add on) My friend and I also tried their Jealousy $20 (refreshing & fruity) & Tiramisu drink $19 (legit tasted like tiramisu). Both were really good!! I enjoyed our meal overall. It's not like mind blowing food but good for the value. My fave was chicken burger as it was fresh & crispy. The lobster bisque pasta was decent but I wouldn't mind more sauce. The takoyaki was okay but I would opt for something else next time.Fried gyoza was yummy. Ice cream sundae was okay but nothing special Worth going for the combo deal though! It's a nice space where you can watch sports and there's live music on certain days. I

We came on a Sunday and tried their combo deal -- 2 appetizers + 2 mains for only $39.99. It was an unbeatable value for Richmond! The portions were generous and the food was tasty, but what really stood out were their signature cocktails -- creative, balanced, and worth coming back for. The vibe is upbeat and fun. It is kind of like a bar meets karaoke room. It is making it a perfect spot for a night out with friends, groups, or even a private party. They also have a big screen, which makes it a great place to catch a game. Overall, Spark Kitchen & Bar is a lively spot with great value, delicious drinks, and a fun atmosphere. Perfect for your next social night out! Food: 4/5 Should Try! Service: 5/5 Kids: 4/5 Yay - more for adult kids! Price: $30-$40 per person (dinner) Presentation: 3/5 Parking: 1/5 Parking can be tricky. There are too many restaurants in the same plaza. Make sure to register your vehicle at the bar. Tips: * have live music on certain nights. * offer daily promos -- check their IG for updates. * late-night friendly -- open until ~2AM. * great for groups, social nights, or casual fun gatherings. * offer free ice cream in exchange for a review. Return: Yes

Not just my dishes, I asked around and about half of the others' dishes were lukewarm as well. Deposit required for large groups and no split bills which is totally understandable. FYI no balloons allowed but they're okay to serve cake. PEI New York Striploin 10oz horseradish butter + fried negi ($38) Not a super great cut, difficult to chew. Gravy tastes like the powdered version off the shelf. Wish it was hotter when served. Slow Braised Beef Cheek + Foie Gras mashed potato + grilled broccolini + triple pepper cream ($49) Mashed potatoes were hot, yay! Everything else not so much. 2 pieces of foie gras. Beef cheek was quite tender. Broccolini triple pepper jus + pecan ($14) Slightly colder than lukewarm, with the same powdered gravy. I liked the pecan though. Service was okay, they served some of the cocktails all on one side, and I had to distribute down the table to find the owner of the drink. Staff don't know who ordered what, which I was a little surprised. Decor is dimly lit, trying to go for a chic sophisticated look. I enjoyed the atmosphere and high ceilings and the concept of the place, but the main event (food) was a let down.

We heard a lot of good things about Hestia's dine out menu, which is $48 for three courses. We…read moredidn't get to try them during the dine-out period. However, they extended the dine out period till Feb 28, so we took the chance. The restaurant is tucked inside a quiet mall. It is dark with walls decorated with wine bottles and quirky paintings. I chose their Bone Marrow + wagyu Tartare for starter, Crab + Prawn Rigatoni for main, and smoked caramel cheesecake for dessert. The starter and dessert were alright, not particularly impressive. The Crab + Prawn Rigatoni was delicious. There was a decent amount of crab meat and prawns. The sauce was supposed to be salted duck yolk cream, but it didn't taste like salted duck yolk at all to me. However, it was still pretty good. It was creamy and rich, and went well with the seafood and pasta. The portion was generous and the pasta became a bit too salty in the last few bites. Two of my friends ordered the 2-scope ice-cream for dessert and the server let us know early on that the flavors would come randomly (there were 4 flavors on the menu). One of my friends asked if she could get peach cream yogurt for both scoops. The server was pretty helpful and said she'll see what she can do but no guarantee. While we had our main course, we saw other tables all had chocolate ice-cream + peach cream yogurt as dessert so we figured they were the two flavors of the day. At the end, the server did give my friend two scoops of peach cream yogurt. However, my other friend got two scoops of chocolate ice-cream instead of both flavors! We appreciated that the server tried her best to satisfy one of us' request! But it was by sacrificing the other's interest! My other friend didn't really mind but it was pretty hilarious! Overall I think the dine out menu was a great deal. This restaurant was comfortable and was a good place for friends to catch up and hang out.

For tourists, the relatively new Holiday Inn right on No.5 Road is convenient. Wonder what's going to replace Gold's Gym. Wish there were a few more restos to choose from, other than the pub Stanley's above the rink or Spaghetti factory & the Raven's Pub--probably being picky lol. Because of the movie specials on Tuesdays, family day, plus the usual craziness on Fri/Sat nites, expect parking congestion. Sometimes I can avoid the traffic by turning in the side street before the main entrance where the hotel is. Or the cul de sac by water mania. amazingly, there's regular bus service here.
