She was late and had an attitude from the minute getting out of her car. I figured give her a break, you don't know why or what started her morning off wrong. When we came back to get our dogs, the girl said they had to charge more because our dogs were bad! What??? Four years never a peep now this surprise? I was not happy, plus I wondered about my dogs experience with a crabby lady. Giving the benefit of the doubt and the fact she does a nice job, I decided to call to make an appointment. At first she was ok until I questioned the up charge and my dogs behavior and why? She said she didn't have help with larger dogs. She got defensive and true colors came out. You're going to talk to a paying customer that way? I can't imagine what the dogs go through after we drop them off. The call ended with her stating she didn't want to do my dogs and hung up on me! I would not recommend!

Customer service in the grooming department:…read more I've been taking my puppy there regularly, he's only 1 1/2 years old, never had any issues before, I've always had him groomed by Devon and he's done a great job. Today I took him in for bath and brush out. They were busy, they tiold me they were planning on being done by 4, no problem, then she said, well "we might not be able to dry him all the way", I thought well that's weird, but. it's summer I'm sure it'll be ok, I never even made it out of the parking lot when they called me to come back and get him he's too "anxious" not behaving in his crate. I'm not trainer or groomer but isn't it there job to know how to interact with the doggies? He's a puppy of course he's excited and very social. I feel like they were just overbooked and looking for an out. I would've had more respect for them had they just said hey can we reschedule we can't fit him in today. I took him down the street to pet supplies plus and washed & dried him myself, was out before 4 pm, no problem. I paid less there for 5 washes than 1 at PetSmart. I really like Devon, but I guess after such poor treatment I'll look for a new groomer and stop referring people there. Poor customer service. I have a doodle, they are sensitive, I think his feelings got hurt. Makes me sad.

We met with Jim for our initial evaluation. He talk they the training with us and had us feel the e collar so we knew what our dog would be feeling. He did a walk thru with his dog chainsaw to show what results we could get. After the first training we saw a difference. A year and a half later. He is the best behaved dogs I have had. We can walk without a leash. He comes when calls is gentle with kids totally different dog. I have been very consistent with his training and it has paid off.

After my groomer, who was coming to my home, decided to take a hiatus ( without any warning or…read morenotice) We were left somewhat panicked. That groomer also worked at a dog Salon, which was an option, but the recent YELP reviews were awful. Our dog is a puppy mill rescue, who had been abused and can be fear aggressive when confined with anything around her neck. She's never bitten anyone but gets snappy if you pull on her. So we need a groomer who gets that..... 95% of the time this dog is a lap dog, desperate for affection. She's also actually afraid of people and other dogs, terrified of cages,( she was in a cage for the first two years of her life)which is why going to a regular dog Salon was the least favorite option. So enter Furryland! We have had two groomers. Both were excellent. Both listened beforehand to her history and her trigger points. Amanda now has been her groomer the last few times and the actual grooming is terrific. She really did what I asked regarding her ears, which is difficult on a Doodle. Our original groomer just always kind of did it her way. Lol. But most importantly, our dog wasn't stressed. And before anyone asks, we have always used vet prescribed sedation to reduce anxiety. But it didn't yield the same results with our prior home groomer. So overall, the grooming results were terrific, the commutation via text while your pup is in the van is excellent, the personality and listening skills of both Amanda and staff have been so pleasant to deal with.
