First time waxing so I was a bit nervous but it was amazing. 10/10 would recommend. I got a full brazilian and yes, of course it hurt, but not nearly as much as I thought it would. There wasn't any lasting pain or irritation. Can't remember who my appointment was with but she was super nice, answered all my questions while still being fast and efficient. Originally booked sugaring but switched to waxing on her recommendation since it was my first time. I'm seriously so impressed. If you're a newbie like me, I 100% recommend this place. I've been going to Rewaxation for almost 3 years - and I won't ever switch. I've always been treated like an important customer, never have to wait for my appointment, and always have a perfect wax. I LOVE THIS PLACE! I have been coming here off/on for probably 3 years, but last year I found Cynthia and she has won me over! She has limited availability, but I do everything in my power to make sure I see her every 4 weeks (especially so I get my repeat customer discount). She is such a perfectionist with my brows and takes her time to make sure they are perfect. Also, not only is it a great place for a wax, but their tanning solution is incredible. This is an updated review based on two bad experiences with Nicole. She seems to have problems with both waxing and sugaring. I initially went to her for sugaring and she had problems with the sugar being too hot and then too cold. Routine underarms not too hard, but she really had trouble and then just gave and didn't even tweeze. Went back and tried waxing with her. She had problems with the wax being too hot and burned me a couple of times. Also no tweezing. Overall I wouldn't book with her, she's not very thorough. Kind of disappointing, I initially really liked this place. read more

I've been coming to reWAXation for a few months now (per a friend's recommendation) and everything about this place is great! First and foremost, it is super easy to book with them. You just head to their website, and go from there! You can even pick a specific esthetician (we all have favorites sometimes). I've seen about four different estheticians here for a Brazilian, and each one of them has done a great job! All the ladies here make you feel so comfortable, and make the whole process so quick and pretty much painless (my pain tolerance is pretty up there, so I guess that helps too)! Also, huge shout out to Gabrielle for making my first Brazilian so pleasant and easy. The place is a little small, so be prepared for that; but the entire place is so clean and it feels so calming. They even offer complimentary wine!! Let's not forget that they give you a discount if you come back for the same service within a month. As a male, I was very turned off by getting ANYTHING waxed before going to Rewaxation. I had never had anything waxed and I was afraid of what it would be like and the amount of "pain" it can cause. A friend of mine told me to go and get the cheek wax for guys. I get between the cheeks and around the cheeks. When selecting, I didn't know who to pick as it was my first time going, and I had the appointment maker pick it randomly for me. All I can say is I am so glad the computer selected Cynthia for me. She has made each time I go relaxing, fun, enjoyable, and pain free. She is very thorough with her wax on me and I am never afraid of getting waxed after the first time I went. I actually look forward to going every time I go. At the time of this review, I have gone 4 times and each time I go I am done within about 10-15 minutes. I have never had an issue with appointment making or paying too much. As I live a block away or so, I am very pleased with the location on Bush Street. If you are debating which place to go for a waxing, definitely choose Rewaxation! You will not regret it. They also have another location on Divisadero as well! read more

I had an appointment with Nicole for a sugaring brazilian and an underarm wax. They went smoothly and I think that the brazilian hurt me less than the usual - it was more than 2 months since my last time, and when some time passes from 2 sessions, it usually hurts me more! Nicole is amazing, she's so sweet and made me completely comfortable - this is so important when you're showing your vajayjay to a stranger :P The location is pretty secluded, very small but so cozy! It was my first time coming to reWAXation and my waxer was Erin. She made me feel very comfortable and was so fast and efficient with my wax! I got a Brazilian and it was my first time since quarantine and it did not hurt nearly as bad as I thought! ReWAXation taking necessary safety precautions. They check temp at the door, wear gloves, require face mask, and limit the amount of ppl in the Salon at each time. This business is also ran by a woman who isn't afraid to stand up for what's right! Went in today to receive a Brazilian since being open during the Covid. They are taking the precautions necessary to keep themselves and clients safe such as not allowing people in the lobby, providing sanitizer, using plastic separators and sanitizing those in between patients. I felt very safe going into their facility and the customer service was great! The Brazilian wax itself was super fast and close to pain free, definitely will be coming here again.
