FINALLY FOUND A PLACE TO GET A SUGAR WAX THAT DOESN'T COST AN ARM AND A LEG!!! This place is great and affordable. I can't remember my waxers name but I scheduled a new appointment with her for a few weeks later (only 45 bucks if you're a returning customer). She did a great job. And although I loved my old waxers in San Diego, the girl at rewaxation was better with not "pulling" my hair when she was applying the sugar. Only downside was the lack of parking. I couldn't go until after I got off work at 5, so I had an 8 pm appointment. Maybe I had a hard time with parking because it was after people get off of work and come home? It wasn't too terrible though, 5/6 blocks away and still made it by 8:05. Just give yourself some extra time to find parking (and don't try to squeeze in a 2 hour movie at the Metreon before you're appointment, like I did, even if you feel like you'll make it out in time hahahaha) read more

So my boyfriend decides to whisk me out for a Lil mini vacay I couldn't fit a waxing in before we left so while I'm in my hotel room I'm browsing waxing salons close to my hotel and I came across rewaxtion. The reviews were solid everyone seemed to walk out pleased so I booked my appointment. I'm so glad I did this place is awesome! You have wine while you wait, yes WINE! It really helped calm my nerves. I got paired with Jennifer who is such a sweetheart. This was my 2nd Brazilian so I was still quite nervous which she picked up on and talked to me the whole time. What can I say - Shay and Rewaxation have earned their accolades. I've been going here every four weeks for two years and wouldn't dream of switching it up. It's just a bonus that it's around the corner from my apartment and one of the best-priced salon-quality Brazilians in the city. In the time I've been a client, Rewaxation has gone from being just Shay and one table to Shay, many new estheticians, two locations, and hella expanded hours. This is awesome, although it does mean that if you're not careful when you book you might end up with variable quality (some girls sugar and some hard wax, so if you have a strong preference, it's better to stay consistent). I want to give one HUGE prop for incredible customer service, too. I normally make it in time to get the repeat discount, but on occasion I've been as much as a week late, usually because the appointments are booked out. The girls ALWAYS give me the discount without me even asking, which to me shows incredible knowledge of customer (and that is why I will never go anywhere else and will continue to send everyone I know here). read more

ReWAXation is now my SPOT. Their sugaring Brazilian was the best wax I've had in years for my sensitive skin. It's a tiny space, and parking can be tricky, but it is so worth it. They play the best music, offer wine and water, and have fans blowing on each waxing table. I always get so sweaty so that is a huge plus for me. The girl who waxed me (hate myself for forgetting her name even though I had her repeat it twice!) was so nice. Her demeanor was very calm which I appreciated. Sometimes, in awkward beauty situations, I feel that estheticians can overcompensate and go overboard with trying to make you feel comfortable. What a find. I was desperate for a last-minute Brazilian wax on a week night, but I didn't get off work until 7:30pm, and every other waxing place I know closes by 7pm. I did a quick Yelp search and found ReWAXation, with open hours until 9pm. 9pm! I arrived at the salon by about 8pm and called Shay. She had an opening, and took care of me right then and there. Aside from the awesome hours, Shay is so sweet. Shay uses peel off wax, which is far gentler on the skin and less painful than the wax that most salons use that require cloth strips for removal. Plus, her attention to detail is the best I've come across: she will tweeze any hair she misses, and has a great communication style in letting you know what she's doing. The salon's decor is pretty and soothing, and I was very impressed with how clean everything was. This is my new go-to spot for waxing! read more

As many ladies know, having one's hair ripped out in strips can really be an assault to the nether regions, but Shay has really perfected the art of what I'll refer to as"crotch design." She's quick and precise, super personable and even offers you cocktails (i'll take twenty!) and fresh baked cookies (i'll take forty!) I've had many unpleasant experiences with other estheticians with questionable credentials, and I've had some pretty okay experiences with pretty reputable ones. First time at REWAXATION! And was totally blown away. I never thought waxing down there could be so fast and painless. I was attracted to this place first because of the cute sign she has up front with the hairless kitty (very funny and catches the eye) . I think I instagramed it once just cause I thought it was so brilliant! I love that you can book online. I made my appointment for a Sunday morning at 930am. I know right too damn early! Didn't even think I would be hung over or anything! Wow was I wrong woke up with a splitting head and defiantly hung over. But I knew I had to get up for my waxing appointment. I do hair in the city and realize how precious time is to a person who relies on their clients showing up. So I got up, got dressed and ran down the street. I love that it is conviently located and I could get a cup of coffee while I wait. First glance! What a cute space. Clean, welcoming, and cozy. First thing she offered me a glass of wine... I almost threw up... But it was a nice gesture! I didn't wait too long. Before you know it I was in the room undressed from the waist down ...she did her thang! ... And I was DONE!!! The wax actually felt good going on and she was so quick taking it off! Plus she was such a sweet person. I recently have gone from a big corporation to a smaller gig like hers and she gave me some pointers to grow my business. Then when I left she sent out a sweet text thanking me for stopping in and letting me know all her deals! I would have written this review anyway. But now I get 5 dollars off my next service.
