I always find an excellent selection of vintage clothing, jewelry, and knickknacks here. My only wish is that I had a bit more money to spend on everything I love! I've adorned my apartment with the mirrors and jewelry I've found here. Sometimes I wish that certain items weren't so expensive. I have to say, I've been to better. There were a lot of creative, unique accessories to be sure but everything else was lacking. Where was the men's section? My friend and I had a hard time finding it. And the prices here are RIDICULOUS! $50 for a dropped waist black dress that is circa 1920's? It certainly kept up with the rise in inflation. I am so thankful that my husband was with me when I went into rewind for the first time this weekend. You see, he is the watcher of my purse . . . making sure I don't just hemorrhage money everywhere I go . . . If it hadn't been for him, I would have been hemorrhaging money BIG time - it would have been an epic event. The necklaces, the broaches, the scarves . . . everything. LOVED IT. WANTED IT. Definitely go here if you're looking for unique accessories to mix into the usual outfits. I'm not a HUGE thrifter, I will not lie - I love brand new clothes, not just new to me. Rewind is my favorite store of all time. I just moved back home after being in Chicago for 5 years and no vintage shop there even compares to the awesomeness of Rewind. I love the huge selection of quality clothes. Everything is sorted by size, so the search is less intimidating (I know a lot of people don't like shopping for vintage stuff because they hate digging through the entire store to find a hidden treasure). They have some new stuff like sunglasses--which are really cute and inexpensive. Bottom line: great store at great prices! read more

I was inadvertently lured to Rewind Vintage because is it situated next to my favorite fabrics store in the Twin Cities, Crafty Planet. I left the Planet with an armload of fabrics one Saturday morning and was walking to the car when I noticed Rewind's glittering windows of vintage goodies in my periphery. "Come on in!" the goodies beckoned, "never mind that dwindling paycheck, treasures await within this adorable storefront..." As noted in several reviews, Rewind is perhaps the Queen of vintage accessories above all else. On my first trip I was somehow able to restrain myself from making a purchase, but you bet your bottom dollar I have since returned and bought a one-of-a-kind metal and woodcut cuff that constantly attracts compliments. The store has cases full of jewelry, most of it fabulous, and reasonably priced (you won't find Savers prices here, but for good reason). Rewind also has quite the selection of leather belts and cowboy boots...although I haven't perused the clothing options much, since I tend to focus on the accessories. Between Rewind Vintage and Crafty Planet, this small plot of street in NE Minneapolis has become a delicious Saturday morning shopping treat. read more

I am officially in love with Rewind Vintage. Sometimes I get overwhelmed at vintage/thrift stores with massive amounts of merchandise, but not here! Everything is well organized and the clothes don't smell like mothballs or old people. I have visited Rewind a handful times and have not purchased anything about 3% of those times. Even during my sad empty handed visits, I always find something I want, but for some reason I tell myself I don't need it or it just doesn't look right (which I immediately regret as soon as I get home). The one thing that makes me upset and want to cry when I go to Rewind is the boots. They have so many cute and fabulous boots, but alas, I am the long lost daughter of big foot. My size 11 feetsies just won't cut it. Want to know what I love the most about Rewind? One word. Sequins. I love all the old dresses with hundred of beautiful little sequins. Some may find sequins tacky, but I think they're wonderful mini disco balls that you can dance with. Although I have yet to purchase one, I have my eye on those suckers. One of my favorite things about Rewind is that all the girls who work there are really sweet and friendly. I feel like I get eyed up at the door when I walk into other consignment / vintage shops, but the girls at Rewind don't seem to judge. My other favorite thing is EVERYTHING. They have a pretty organized selection of clothes, and like everyone else said, a huge selection of accessories. I usually need to allot myself AT LEAST an hour when I shop here because I look through everything. And I think I've only walked out of Rewind empty-handed once. read more

I'm usually wary of vintage shops. First, I don't wear vintage clothes. I go for the accessories like shoes, purses, jewelry. Second, they give me allergies. Whenever I enter them, my nose might start running. Third, they smell. Who knows how long those suede jackets were sitting in the attic? Coming with that mentality, I was very pleasantly surprised of how clean and organized this place was. It didn't smell bad either! I spent a LONG TIME in here looking at every bag, dress, and jewelry! They have soo much jewelry and each one is unique and vintage. The lady collects them from estate and yard sales and you can tell that she puts a lot of effort in selecting each piece. If I was rolling in dough, i'd buy most all the jewelry! I'd come back in a heartbeat and wished there was something like this in my area. read more

I might not have a unique compliment for this store not already mentioned in other reviews, but then I'll just join the chorus. I am not a big thrift/vintage shopper but like to browse from time to time. This place should be the top of your list if there is only 1 or 2 such stores you want to frequent. I say so because they use the small store to highlight only the best. There are fashionable clothes in good condition or better, interesting costume jewlry and other accessories and even a men's clothes and accessories area. It is well curated and the items are things you can and will walk out and use right away without looking like you're in a costume. On my last visit I got a classy silver & faux pearl multi-chain necklace that could easily be on sale at Anne Taylor next week, a tooled leather purse (the Mexican style your mom might have had in the 70s), some awesome 80s graphic sunglasses and my husband got a nice belt. We spent as much as you might for those items at Target but got things with much more style. So, check it out! read more

Literally the cutest consignment store ever. It is so beautifully organized and every piece is unique. They have 80's and 90's trendy clothes. They have a lot of trendy jewelry, and cute Knick knacks that are one of a kind. Truly a jem in Minneapolis. read more

This stretch of Johnson Street has always been somewhat of a revolving door for businesses. Once upon a time there was a video store, and after that a garden boutique, and other businesses that have come and gone, but Rewind Vintage, God willing, is here to stay! Rewind is exactly what this neighborhood needed. The prices are low and the selection is staggering. Looking for an '80s sweater? A vintage leather jacket? A colorful t-shirt? A sparkly pair of shoes? A whimsical pair of earrings? You'll find all this and more at Rewind, along with friendly service. The selection can be a tad overwhelming--there's just so much of everything. But it's a fun way to spend and hour. This little place is too cute! I found it only because I was next door at Crafty Planet. I love all that is vintage/retro, so it was an extra treat for me to find this place. They have some great stuff, most of which is reasonably priced. The only thing that would make it better, is if it was bigger. But then again that would take away from the charm! read more

I found Rewind while going through that amazing book of second hand/vintage/thrift store coupons that were cirulating around last year. It's an adorable store full of great stuff. All the clothes are well organized and easy to browse. It seemed to me alot of the clothes veer more towards the 80's which is cool but not really my thing (most of the time). They have a serious collection of boots which is amazing. I got some great patent leather Doc's for pretty cheap and there's tons of jewelry. All in all it was a fabulous experience and i'm so glad the opened another (just as great) store blocks away from my humble abode. read more

Love, love, love. I would say a good portion of my wardrobe is from Rewind. Of all the vintage boutiques- they easily have the best selection of shoes- especially boots. My only beef with Rewind is I tend to find a significant amount of stained or damaged merchandise that isn't priced appropriately. I once bought a crew sweatshirt priced at $18, only to bring it home and find a few large stains on it. I was so bummed. The owner and her employees are always so friendly and helpful. It makes shopping at Rewind such a great experience. read more

Clean and tidy but the selection could use some updating. Pricing is a tad high considering you could get most of the items at a Goodwill or Savers if you took the time. Sparse selection of shoes. I wish they curated the selection overall to keep up with what people actually want to buy, rather than cramming as much vintage pieces they can find. I LOVE this store! I totally agree with the previous reviewer. Can I move in? No actually, can I move Rewind Vintage to my bedroom? I have been thinking about expanding my closet into a walk-in anyways. The person who owns this store has great taste and the prices here are decent. I feel like because vintage and used items have become so popular now, a lot of retailers will jack up the price because they know they can get away with it. That is not the case here. I bought a belt for 12$ and two skirts, both were 16$ each. This is a jam packed little store, well lit, super clean, neatly organized and separated by color and style. The music that was playing in the background was a sort of gritty dance rock that I really enjoyed and the person behind the counter was terribly friendly. There are a ton of awesome accessories to choose from here which is not always the case at similar shops around town and I feel like that is really what makes this place better than most. read more

All of the clothes are in amazing shape! The store is on the smaller end, but is well organized and not over stimulating! It has an incesty smell, but I like that far better than the usual antique musty smell. It's also organized by size, which I love! read more
