As an out-of-towner, I ended up there through a recommendation. State of the art equipment. Excellent selection of glasses. Friendly and professional staff. Really great doctor. The young one. We had a conversation. He's competent. I wanted a second pair of all-arounds, so bare minimum had to be progressive transitions. They initially sold me on some night glare something something, but it didn't make a significant difference to me from my old pair, AND during the day, stepping into daylight from shade gave a filmy look which I couldn't stand. And they fell off my face. When you're getting fitted, and they ask you if they slide, lean way over and look down. Mine literally fell off my head. Also, somehow the person assisting me neglected to note that I required transitions. So I asked if they could remake these without the night glare film and could they put in the transition aspect to the glasses. The charge for night glare and the charge for transitions were about the same price, so I thought they could just remake these without the night glare and with the transition. I was told that the night glare charge, because I had requested it, had to stand and there would be an additional $85 for the transition. Ugh. I was miffed and said, I just spent $500 on glasses that don't fit and aren't transitions as I originally requested and not sure it's my fault a "film" appears in the sun because of the night glare component. The woman, who sadly no longer works there, took care of it for me. I didn't pay any additional cost, the film is gone and the transitions are in place. I contracted COVID here. Their website claims that they have the staff wear masks but the tech who checked me in was not, she was breathing all over me. Only one of the receptionists was masked. I saw 2 doctors (including the one who helped me) waltzing around the waiting area without them. Very few of the community members were, although that's not the responsibility of the business if they choose politics over public safety. I am immunocompromised. I have an autoimmune disease that suppresses my entire immune system completely. This office is literally the ONLY public place I have been in two months. That's how I know with certainty it was the source of my infection. I know I am super high risk so I just don't take risks. But the issue I was having was pressing enough that I needed to have it addressed. My caregiver requested that the doctor put on a mask due to my increased risk and he said "I always do when the patient is in the chair but otherwise I don't really worry much about it." You are a physician. You should worry A LOT about it. My caregiver has also contracted it, though I may have given it to her. Now that I have this, I am beyond terrified. With no immune response at all, this will kill me or do irreparable damage to my already unbelievably damaged system. When I called the office to report this to them, the person I spoke with responded "Oh. That's very sad." No. No it is not very sad. It's unbelievably irresponsible of a MEDICAL FACILITY to not enforce a mask policy that they are so proud of they blast it across their website. In fact, I believe it should be criminal. So thanks, Rexburg Vision Center. I bet my glasses will help me read all the new medical bills I can't pay while I lay here trying not to die. Avoid this place read more

Everyone at the Rexburg Vision Center is friendly and accommodating. I've been going there for over 15 years and I would recommend them highly. Dr Hatch never rushes and always takes the time to answer my questions. There are closer optometrist offices but I wouldn't think of going anywhere else. read more

My eye doctor retired and I needed to find a new one here in Rexburg. The doctors at Rexburg Vision Center had high marks so I gave them a try. I was not disappointed. They have state of the art equipment, are courteous and efficient. My first appointment went well and I was able get some new glasses that I really like. read more

I've been seeing Dr. Hatch for years and would never change. He always listens to me and takes time for a thorough exam. I really like that he covers the health of my eyes and how they can determine other health issues. Also love Tauna at the front desk! She is awesome and a huge asset to the office. read more

Had a kind of weird experience there. When I asked for a specific kind of contact lens they told me "oh that's kind of expensive, I don't think we should go that route." They said it in a way that made it seem like they were judgmental. I did get what I needed, but I just go to Lens crafters whenever I fly back to Portland. read more

They closed early when they new we were coming! We had called earlier in the day and let them know that we were coming for just a sample pair of contacts bec the pair I have now is ripped and I'm going out of town for a few days. I arrived at 5:25 five minutes before closing. No one was at the desk and the lights were off. It is illegal for stores to close before posted closing time and is terrible customer service. read more

I have been to a lot of different eye doctors over the years and these guys have always been friendly and easy to work with. I told them I didn't have insurance and they still gave me a slight discount to off set the costs. That was great. I even had to call and schedule an appointment on short notice because I lost my contacts and they set up an appointment and told me I could come in and grab a trial pair of contacts to hold me over until I was able to see doctor. A++ rating from me. Give them a call or stop in and see them. They also have a great selection of eye wear with reasonable prices. read more

VERY unhappy and will NEVER be going back ! The frint desk staff and doctors were VERY kind and helpful however the woman that does the insurance was rude condescending and blatantly ignored our information and charged us over $100 that WE DID NOT OWE! We (my husband and I) have 100% coverage with a very small copay, we gave her all of our correct insurance information yet she didn't put it in correctly and didn't tell us that their system said we had no coverage and still had us go to our appointments where we not only got the usual eye tests done but also services that no insurance covered and the DID NOT ASK NOR TELL US THAT IT WAS AN EXTRA FEE UNTIL AFTER she also would not listen to us when after being told we owed over $200 that she was wrong, we knew for a fact our insurance covered 100% all we should owe is our copay. She then wouldn't let us leave with out at least paying for my contacts/my husbands appointment which was $140. She refused to listen to me so I had to have my mother who had all the information for our new insurance call her in the hopes she would listen to her. She then berated my mother and told her that we were irresponsible and needed to grow up. Now here we are a few days later and my husband goes in to pick up our new glasses and is told he can get his but not mine because we have an outstanding fee of $105... despite insurance covering everything and that they should actually be refunding us money. Needless to say I'm pissed and will never go back. read more

Just went through a horrible ordeal with them as to where they tried to scam money from me. Once the insurance company was involved they quickly changed their story to them and were "suddenly" very helpful. Will never go there again. They are a bunch of thieves. Don't go if you value your family. read more

I called to make an appointment because my eye is very red and sore. I was told they are "an extremely busy office" and it would take weeks before I could be seen. I explained that I had a sore eye and she said "well that's different, we can fit you in in 3 days" are u kidding me I don't want to have this sore eye for 3 more days no thankyou I will find a doctor who can actually find time for their patients!! would not recommend apparently these doctors have enough patients. read more
