Didn't hear from him for a few days after he was here, then after I texted him he said (after consulting "a colleague" it would cost 275-300k to extend the back porch out 10 feet and finish the (nearly complete) basement remodel! My house doesn't cost that much! We went with another contractor who bid something much more reasonable.

After setting up shop in the early stages of our build(prior to Sheetrock) Kristina was able to grasp our ideas and present them in a 3d model that blew us away, and at the same time being extremely respectful of our budget! This was working through our simple ideas designing seven large closets, an amazing pantry, a classic mudroom, and a remarkable laundry room on the first try! I hired them in the summer of 2021; I had a huge project, a full renovation. I was approved for a FHA renovation loan which they were aware of beforehand. Kelly have experience with this type of loans. Within few weeks of starting, Kelly submitted unapproved invoices to the bank behind my back, made a bunch of financial errors in their calculation, increased their initial estimate fees. The bank became suspicious and delayed funds disbursement which stretched my project. They got money hungry, try to justify their financial immorality in the name of inflation, really?!. Very disappointing! I strongly believe that they saw in me a weak target they could prey on, it's saddening and heartbreaking. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone seeking to hire a contractor. At the very least, don't hire them if you don't live on site. Unless you can be there every day to question their single move. Not a trust worthy contractor.
