When I said we still have 20 minutes till close, I was told that they do that so they can get everyone checked out. If your sign says your open till 7 pm then that is when you close. This happened at the Midland store but has also happened at the other MO stores as well. I love searching for all the neat things they get but when I think I have a half hour only to be told basically I have ten minutes. If the stores are going to post the hours of operation then that is when they should lock the doors and turn the closed sign.

I dread clothes shopping in general but this man just made it a little bit better for me with his enthusiasm and genuine kindness.

Today, I had a steel frame, lightweight L shaped desk I had taken the end brackets off to get it into my car trunk. I drive up to the donation center - had the employee take his position in the door with no offer to help unload or anything - and when I pulled the top board out of the trunk he asked what it was. I told him and his response angered me. He said, "We cannot accept it unless it is fully assembled." Apparently the handicap they hire are incapable of driving 7 screws back in to the holes they came out of. Salvation Army accepted it - no questions asked.

Now, of course I just had to investigate for myself and for the people to decide. What I discovered: 1. Meijer's floral department is waaaay fresher! You can smell their fragrance throughout the store which will put you in the mood for a little 1 stop shopping. 2. They offered sale items, which if you don't usually use Gain laundry detergent "On Sale" will change your mind. 3. The prices on clothes was a shock and looked less of quality than Walmart. Walmart is really starting to suck but if you follow Business News it's explainable. 4. Meijer's had a person posted up at the entrance door to help guide you to the correct department if you're just running in and quickly out. 5. More staff visible to assist.
