Such a great place for a post-hike comfort food dinner! Very friendly employees. Place has a casual/cute/cozy vibe. We sat outside with our dog on their patio which had plenty of umbrella covered tables and sweeping mountain views. We ordered at the counter and they timely delivered our food to our table. We arrived at the restaurant just in time for breakfast. We entered in from the back (close to where they had pickups for take out orders) and ended up walking by the front. We were greeted by the hostess at the front who invited us to sit down and grab menus for ordering. Luckily the menu had the wifi and password listed on the opposite side. After sitting down, we found what we wanted to order: Mushroom and Goat Cheese Toast with Potato Fries and Veggie Breakfast with Fruit Salad. We also ordered some Cabernet Sauvignon and an Aperol Spritz. When we ordered we were presented with our utensils and napkins in a cute little bucket. The waters we ordered were provided via pitcher and stacked glassware. Quaint and rustic. The food was delicious and brought out rather quickly. The portions were large, but my husband and I managed to eat the majority of our sandwiches. He also opted for the half glass of wine since he had to help me finish my full glass of Aperol Spritz. The cocktail was pretty balanced and is honestly a bigger size than I'm accustomed to drinking. The potato fries were huge and definitely not consumed. The bread was made in house and slathered with a large amount of avocado, a small side of fruit, an egg and some mushrooms. The mushroom and goat cheese were neatly placed on more freshly made bread. All in all the food was pretty filling and flavorful. The bathroom is a shared restroom in the building space, out a set of doors and past a few other businesses in the shared space. Really good food in a casual setting We had the mile one burger (solid burger, though I personally like a bit more salt/flavour in my burger) as well as the ribs (falling off the bone and great flavour, much better than I was expecting and one of the better racks of ribs I've had for a while). The smashed potato fries side were memorably tasty as well and even the slaw was nicely done. One minor issue is that they had a lot of flies in the place, to the point it was distracting from the meal. Service is a mix of walk up to order and table service. We came in on a weekday in the afternoon and it was not busy at all Their Cafe is cafeteria style where you order and they bring the food to you after Their menu ranges from All Day Breakfast, Salads, Burgers, hot dogs, chili to pasta. The Mile One burger ($15) comes with a piece of pickle on the side. The 63 Acres beef patty is juicy, and the beer braised onions give the burger just enough saucy-ness. The buttermilk bun is homemade and it smells amazing, I probably smelled the bun 4 times!! They also sell their buttermilk buns too, so don't forget to grab them! The Hillbilly Deluxe is very saucy for those who like that. It also has the addition of venison chorizo This is a perfect place to try their local Pemberton and Whistler beer. I really enjoyed the Coast Mountain sour. 4 stars for the food but adding 1 star for the excellent service My friend and I came for an early dinner on Sunday around 4 pm. We were both starving since we had just finished a hike and were looking forward to a delicious meal at Mile One Eating House. It didn't disappoint! We started with a slice of their apple pie. They heated it up for us and served it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Nothing wrong with starting a meal with dessert first XD I had a cup of chili and it was really good. Loved the garlic bread that came with it. My entree of meatloaf (available only after 5 pm for $19) was flavorful and tender, though the mushroom gravy was a bit more sour and not as savory as I wanted. My friend enjoyed his chickpea burger ($10.50) served Pemby style, with lettuce, red onion, tomato, and mayo. The service is really good here; they offered me a free pastry because of how long it took for the meatloaf to be ready. We just ate there today and it was wonderful. First, they are one of the only establishments in Pemberton where you can have your dog with you in the outside eating area. The servers are super friendly and knowledgeable. The food is so good I wish I had two stomachs so I could have eaten more! I had the mile burger which was the perfect balance of comforting and interesting. My step son had the kimchi Rueben and it did not last long he devoured it. My husband had the pork belly poutine which was flavorful there and later as leftovers. He also got a side of apple pie to go and raved about that as well. It's all about the crust people! Came here and tried the mac and cheese, mushroom + spinach poutine + burger. What stood out at this place was the poutine and the mac and cheese. Was a little bit weird in that you walk up to the register to order food, tip, and then get a table and they will deliver food for you. The poutine used wedges (I prefer strips/normal fries since it gives more surface area) and was drenched with gravy to my liking. Definitely felt like at times I was just eating everything but the fries and that felt a little weird, regardless I enjoyed the dish. All the mac and cheeses, wow they are huge. Honestly, 2 orders of those would server 3 people. We got the chorizo mac and cheese and it's really just mainly mac and cheese with some sprinkles of chorizo. I thought it was good, but you really do just get bored of it half way through cause it's so much and very much the same thing. The burger was nothing special AND they overcooked my medium rare. It came out well done. No juiciness, no flavor really, just really nothing there. Would not recommend that at ALL. Decided to head north of Whistler to explore today and after a long hike, wandered into the small town of Pemberton. Hungry, we found the Mike One Eating House restaurant. Walking in, it is a casual little burger/sandwich joint with a decent offering. I went with a seared ahi burger and got a side of half-and-half (half roasted potato and half green salad). It was great! I hate salad copouts which consists of a bag of iceberg an shredded lettuce. It was a nice field green with some cabbage crunch served dressed with a white vinegar dressing. Burger was great and i loved the dipper aioli for the very crispy (so soft on the inside) potatoes. I will becoming back for sure if i head up this way! read more

Wow what a gem of a place that does not disappoint. They have a huge outdoor patio that you can socially distance eat at still but we just took our food to go and ate at the lake two minutes away. Visited this place in June. Spectacular food! The place is renowned for its burgers. Upon trying, I have to agree with everyone else. Even though the menu is limited, that is because they offer only the best that they can make. I tried the pemby burger and the salmon burger. The pemby burger has a patty made from scratch, not from frozen. It is cooked well but still full of jives and flavours. Combined with the lettuce and tomato, I made met with deep notes of beef with freshness resembling the beautiful nature of that area. The salmon burger is equally delicious. A slab of tender fresh salmon in a crispy house baked bun. The salmon is fresh and packed with juice and flavour. Perfect for those who do not eat beef. For both burgers, the sauce is delightful. Not too creamy and not too rich, but perfect to combine with the savoury meats. The service was equally attentive. The servers made sure that it was a pleasant experience. The menu here is quite enticing, especially after a long day of skiing . It was hard to know what to choose, but based upon some of the recommendations of our cashier and nice person who greeted us in line, our party ended up ordering the seared tuna sandwich, a sablefish sandwich, an oyster Burger and the Cayoosh poutine. However, unfortunately, we all felt the food didn't live up to the hype/excitement of the menu. The buns were way too dense and quite humongous for the small amount of seafood we had in our sandwich to the point where it overshadowed everything else, my oysters were cooked well but they were not cleaned and were gritty, and the fillets of tuna and sablefish were pretty small. Seeing as all three of us ordered something related to Seafood, I can't really comment on whether the buns would work for a burger or not, but having an option for a thinner type of toasted bread for these seafood sandwiches would be nice. The poutine we had was average. The gravy was quite watery, the cheese curds were fine, chorizo was ok, red peppers didn't seem to add much to the dish, but the potato wedges were also huge and a little undercooked... and also added to the density of the meal as a whole. Besides that, it I did think the space and set up was nice, the staff was very friendly and I appreciated that many items were baked in house, the menu utilized a farm to table approach, and there seemed to be a good choice of local brews available to try.. and seeing as the ratings here are consistently high, I would be curious to try a burger and a mac and cheese when I'm back in the area one day. read more

The hillbilly was spot on, cooked to a nice pink inside, toppings were fresh delicious and local. Loved the buttermilk bun but it is dense and will fill you up fast. The elk chorizo was awesome! The Mac and cheese with the elk and asparagus amount other things was tasty, creamy, and fresh. Also got the skooash (or something spelled similar) poutine. It was ok, the potato wedges were a bit bulky, the bacon and toppings were good but in the end it was out of balance. The beers! Awesome selection, lots of local stuff. But I'm a stout girl and my favorites are the sweeter ones which are hard to find places... but they had a s'mores stout that was excellent! Coffee. They brew a delicious cup of coffee. Didn't expect that but it was quite tasty. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Restrooms are behind a door down a long hallway, and clean. Came here earlier today for a late breakfast and had the chorizo poutine. The potatoes aren't fried, but oven-baked! Bomb! Super tasty and one of the best poutines I've had. Returned here for dinner to try to the chicken parmigiana (they were the only good place we were able to find on Yelp that was open late for his area), and they were gracious enough to replace the mac 'n cheese that comes with it with a hearty salad dish. Oh man oh man! Just came through town and my group tried the gomae tuna burger, hillbilly deluxe, the hotdog and the one mile burger. All of them were fantastic! The wedge fries kinda fell flat for me, they were dry and chewy and tough but the burgers were soooo good I didn't even care about the dang fries! This is definitely the place to stop if you're looking for a home cooked meals with a ton of options. I ordered the Garbanzo Wrap (House-Made Chickpea Patty, Roasted Red Peppers, Grilled Asparagus, Sunflower Seeds, Mile One Sauce, Lettuce, Tomato, Red Onion, in a Whole Wheat Tortilla) but I subbed for their home made gluten free bread (similar to a focaccia bread). It was extremely fresh with a lot of vegetables on the sandwich. And huge (every thing available here is a great portion size). I got half salad (which was a huge portion but no dressing) and the potato wedges (with a homemade sauce). This was a delicious meal. Prices are reasonable. Service is fast and very friendly. After trying to tackle the glacier at Joffre Lakes we were most definitely ready to eat ourselves into a stupor and enjoy a nice refreshing beer. Mile One had us entirely covered in the beer department! Not too many on tap... but SUCH a great bottle selection with emphasis on local mainland BC beers and some island representation. I had the whistler grapefruit ale and enjoyed it thoroughly on their patio. In the early evening, the patio was shaded, so we could enjoy the blue sky and warmth without melting in the heat! For whatever reason something possessed me to order a salad instead of Mac n cheese. It was a good hearty half sized salad with a boiled egg and a chunk of grilled salmon that I added on. I had mad food envy of my friend who did order the Mac n cheese. My friends who ordered burgers weren't terribly impressed with the patty. Not especially flavourful and entirely dependent on the toppings. So I didn't have food envy of them. The five of us shared the order of three ice cream sandwiches for dessert. By far the best part because they came with caramel and hot fudge sauce that we could absolutely go to town coating the ice cream sandwiches in! I'd go back just for the ice cream!! read more

I don't give a lot of 5 stars, but I must applaud this place because it's definitely the best place in the area for miles. You'd probably have to drive all the way back south to Whistler Village for something comparable, so do yourself a huge favor and just stop here for a poutine, burger, or some great bottled beer selections. Poutine - their goat cheese is really fresh and I really like the crispy baked potato wedges they use instead of normal fries. Burger - this thing is massive! Get it with the works and you won't be disappointed. Beer - I had a dark amber from a company I've never heard of before. Lovely. Outdoor seating available in the back and the interior decorations are very woodly and polished (you'll know what I mean when you see it). I loved sitting next to the huge trail map with my parents and just chatting over which places we'd walk in the next few days.
