I WISH I lived in DC just so I could be a regular here. WOW. I was staying at SIXTY and asked the front desk where I could get a drink for the room, and they walked me over to Reynold's. The vibes were pretty fun, so I ended up drinking at the bar. Their $10 martini happy hour is insane! I got a pornstar martini and a truffle popcorn. OMG. Best pornstar martini I have had in my life, plus really cure glassware. The truffle popcorn was unbelievable and had fresh parmesan on it. YUM. I also tried the femme fatale and it was acidic and fruity and fantastic. I ended up also getting an espresso martini another night and it was iconic. Jay was my waiter and he is one of the best bartenders on this earth. He made drinks quickly, made sure everyone was having fun, and kept the vibes wonderful. He was absolutely amazing and was a big part of the reason I came back a second night in a row. His positivity and expert cocktail making skills make him the IDEAL bartender. Reynolds is officially my new favorite DC cocktail bar! It's got this moody, low-lit, and velvety lounge vibe that's absolutely perfect for a date night. The seating is incredibly comfortable, making it easy to settle in and enjoy the evening. I ordered the Porn Star Martini, and it was absolutely delicious, with a plant-based foam on top. One of the best cocktails I've had in a while. The drinks are pre-batched, so keep in mind they can't be customized. I also loved that this place feels a little tucked away, like a hidden gem. It's connected to a hotel on the other side of the block. It was crowded on a Tuesday night so you need reservations. read more

What a unique spot! I'm in DC for work and was a solo diner. The atmosphere is sultry, intimate and cozy. The service was friendly and warm. I did not feel rushed at all! I ordered their mocktail, the clean slate, and the poutine. The drink was tart, fruity, but also slightly bitter? It was delicious! The poutine was phenomenal. A cheese pull everytime, there wasn't a lack of gravy, and the flavor palette was beyond salt and pepper! The gravy was sweet and savory and the cheese curds were gooey, not rubbery at all. The fries were cut perfectly and didn't overwhelm the dish. There wasn't a perfect ratio of cheese gravy and fries! My only disappointment is there were no matchbooks due to supply chain issues. I understand not their fault, but they look quite cool and I would have loved to add one to my collection. How have I never been here before?? The vibes are absolutely immaculate. I sat at the bar and Jay took amazing care of us. I got the Spill The Tea and was worried it was going to be too floral or too boozy but it was perfectly balanced. I could've drank 14 of em. We also shared the Parmesan truffle popcorn which was soooo addicting. Truffle can be hit or miss with me bc some places are so heavy handed with it but this was actually perfect. We did not make reservations but I highly suggest that you do because tables were limited and the place was packed. However, much appreciation to the hostess for getting a table for us after a brief wait by the crowded bar. Ambiance: we went around 8pm following an early dinner and hung out for a while. The decor, lighting, bar area, and music welcomed grown and sophisticated vibes, with a sprinkle of sexy. Loved it! Drinks: I ordered the femme fatale, excellent selection if you've been drinking previously and needed some citrus notes and lite liquor pour to cool you down. This drink was both refreshing and tasty, thoroughly enjoyed it. Bar bites: we ordered mini burgers which can only be described as amazing! The black pepper onion jam added some sweet balance to the savory burger, which was prepared well. The bun was fresh and lightly roasted and the aioli sauce and dill pickle complemented the entire thing. Loved this place. Came here with a large group the night before thanksgiving for the first time and loved the vibe. Will certainly come back, especially for hh again. I will say it would have been five stars if they hadn't been so weird about not only bar seating but also we had more people be able to join then we expected and they made it very obvious numerous times their annoyance by this even with the bar 50 percent empty. It wasn't aggressive or anything but we were aware of the fact this was annoying and ended up cashing out to not cause problems. All in all though a cool spot and will certainly be back but wouldn't come with more than 4. read more

Would have love to patron this space but found front of house staff really rude. I sent my husband here to grab one drink on a Friday early evening. I am aware this is a small space, I did research on it and did notice their website makes mention that while they prefer reservations, they do have a limited spot for walk ins. Knowing this, I sent my husband here, hoping for a spot at the bar as he was alone. When he arrived around 6pm, he saw 2 open bar spots and a bunch of tables with reserved signs. The head of house asked about a reservation and my husband said he was hoping to get 1-2 drinks, bar spots were fine. He noticed a group of 4 girls waiting as well- he was then told the bar was full and the 2 open spots were not to be filled at the group of 4 had first dibs on them. This makes 0 sense because one person could have easily filled them but I digress. On top of that, when my husband asked what time they could potentially get him in, as he did not mind waiting, they told him 11:30PM. Then the host scoffed and said "You do know it's Friday, right?" insinuating my husband must be an idiot who can't read a weekly calendar. Look - I get it, small exclusive spot obviously trying to replicate the swanky NYC speakeasies vibe, those that are impossible to get into- however, do not be flat out rude. Remove the verbiage on your reservation booking spot about walk in's if you cant accommodate ONE walk in spot. Don't waste your time- Press Club DC has better staff and are way more accommodating than this spot. read more

Reynolds is my favorite cocktail bar in DC. It's quietly tucked away in dupont and as soon as you walk in, it feels cozy. I love the design choices in the lighting, seating, font, etc. My first time here, we walked in and sat at the bar where we had fantastic porn star martinis. Another time, we were irritated and hungry after a poor experience at Casamara so we stopped by Reynolds where our server instantly cheered us up with her sweet welcome, bar snacks, and efforts to make sure we were fed. We still rave about the burger bites and tuna tartare, which were perfect for two people to share and exactly what we needed that night. I've heard it's also decorated for the holidays and hope to be back soon. Highly recommend! read more

Came to Reynold's on a Friday around 10:30pm and overall had a great time. Made a reservation and had a short wait while they figured out our table but we were seated basically immediately and a manager kindly apologized for the wait. A server came over quickly and was attentive all night! Really enjoyed both of the cocktails I had. They were innovative, well-balanced and boozy! Love their take on a pornstar martini -- they mix it with passionfruit which really balances the sweetness of a pornstar martini. It was bright and sweet with a touch of sour. Next I had their earl grey tea drink which is a beautiful deep pinkish/red color when brought to you. The drink didn't taste much like tea to me but I still thought it was a great cocktail. Reynolds has a great vibe! Moody yet casual and polished without being pretentious. Has a bit of a cigar lounge vibe and a very masculine energy. I don't remember the music they were playing but it was the perfect volume. Even for a late night drink this place wasnt too loud or too crowded. The space feels like a speakeasy with dim lighting, candles, a beautiful bar big comfortable lounge chairs surrounding the space that's perfect for a date night cap or to catch up with friends. Very chic, sexy and mature. The cocktails were well made and I'm looking forward to returning to try other cocktails on the menu. I've been to Reynolds three times now, and it's a cute interior with good cocktails (not best in DC by any means, but very solid). Anyway, I'm writing this Karen review because it seems they are trying to become some ultra elite bar for whoever the bouncer deems worthy. We came at 6pm on a Saturday. A bouncer angrily asked if we had a reservation and when he said no he said "ok bye," and went back to talking to his friend. We asked how long of a wait, and if we could join the waitlist. He angrily said yes, it'll be an hour. Well, it's now been 3.5 hours, and no word from them. We are pretty sure the bouncer just deleted our waitlist request. Super unprofessional. It's just not a good enough bar to be that elitist. read more

Came here for happy hour on a Saturday and so glad I did! The space is gorgeous: comfy big chairs, moody lighting, and a fun playlist. Even the menus felt thoughtfully designed. Cocktails were tasty and a great deal for happy hour, and I loved the little details like the etched flower glasses and fun serving plates. Went the day after Christmas hoping they were still going to be playing holiday movies but they weren't anymore unfortunately which was disappointing.
