Eric is very friendly and collaborative, coming out to the house any time we wanted to talk through logistics, and he was generally quick to respond to emails and texts, sometimes writing back late into the evening. We found the same attention and responsiveness from everyone we worked with from Ironclad, including Mike, Perry, and John. Although not cheap, Ironclad is worth the price tag. The work they did was great, and despite the fact that it took a while (often limited by snow and other uncontrollable weather circumstances) we are extremely happy with the final results. I'm also happy to say we have not had any leaks since Ironclad replaced our two roofs. We will definitely use them again in the future and strongly recommend them.

After much review we went with John Breuer. Our only contact was Dustin. We enjoyed his candor and straightforward advice. He offered all the options. Areas where we could consider saving some money, and areas where some additional money would add value. The numbers can get confusing with different contractors, but Dustin's estimate was more straightforward than some. In the end you have to go with your gut. Most of the project went pretty smoothly. Our township was unusually tough. Other neighbors confirmed. Maybe we wouldn't have had the stucco problems in the first place if they had looked as closely when the house was originally built. Most of the work was done within a month, but it was some of the finishing details that took some additional time. At no point did we feel ignored. Dustin kept us up to date. We had a lot done and I think the house was completed in a more timely fashion than some others. Additionally, during the process we had other contractors come to give estimates on various other items... like a new driveway. Each time we received unsolicited compliments on the quality of the work. That was nice to hear from people that know quality work when they see it. Also, the unsolicited compliments from others on the cosmetics were too numerous to count. The landscapers will be finishing up tomorrow and we can't wait for it all to be done. The house looks awesome. It can be scary to embark on a costly project like this. Throughout it all, Dustin and his crew were there. We would easily recommend them.

I found these guys, and they gave me a great price based off two pictures I sent and was very responsive with any questions and updates. Easy to schedule and they came right on time and it only took a couple hours. They re-mounted the countertop and everything is fixed. I can't thank them enough and I would really suggest this team if you need any help with reinstalling or any help with countertops. This is an updated property so it's not an old countertop and it might've cost thousands of dollars going to a big corporation.

Floor Install Systems deserves less than one star. Their workmanship looks worse than a DIY gone…read morewrong. They caught my stovetop on fire, broke the wood under both sets of cabinets, damaged all of the appliances, damaged the subfloor, sawed their materials in my living room and they had no precautions set up to protect my home from all of the debris they created. They didn't even bring a shop vac. All of my appliances were left unprotected during demo and are caked in tile debris. My sofa, pillows and blankets are all covered in saw dust and the air quality was so poor Servpro had to come in and put air scrubbers in the house. Who would have thought a simple floor job would cause this much damage and cause me to have to relocate . Unskilled, laborers are not worth the $ you saved to hire them. Floor Install Systems is taking no responsibility for the damage they have created and lied to the insurance company telling them that they agreed to fix it for me. That never happened, maybe you promised that to another mistake you made but it wasn't a conversation that we had. In addition, I had removed everything possible from the room, all they had to do was move the appliances but according to Jack it was my job to move those too (even though there is a charge in the invoice for the appliances). He would know that the rooms were empty IF he'd bothered to come look at the jobsite the following morning when I asked. Instead he kept putting me off until LL Flooring said they would take the info from me for him. Consumers beware, they also work for LL Flooring. The pics do not do the damage justice.

We hired Mr. Contractor to completely renovate the kitchen and primary bathroom in our 130-year-old…read morePhiladelphia home, and we're thrilled with how everything turned out. When we were choosing a contractor, Mr. Contractor's Yelp rating gave me some hesitation - especially given the high ratings elsewhere. But when I read the reviews themselves rather than just looking at the overall rating, many of the complaints seemed to involve relatively small jobs. We needed someone for a large, complicated renovation of a very old house, and the experience and capabilities Ken demonstrated seemed much better suited to that kind of project. Having now completed the job, I'm very glad we made that distinction. This was a big project, and our old house threw plenty of surprises at us. Once the demo began, our engineer found that part of the kitchen needed to be structurally rebuilt from the foundation up. That meant coordinating with our architect and structural engineer and substantially expanded the work. Despite that and the many twists and turns that followed, Ken and his crew kept things moving and completed an extraordinary amount of work in just 10 weeks. What really stood out was the crew. These guys were craftsmen who took genuine pride in what they were building. More than once, they spent extra time on something simply to get the finished result just right or recommended enhancements that were not charged. A friend who is a high-end interior designer saw the kitchen afterward and was impressed by the quality of the construction and attention to detail. We also lived in the house throughout the renovation. The crew was friendly and respectful, and they cleaned up the work areas at the end of every day -- something we came to appreciate enormously during 10 weeks of construction. Was every little detail perfect the first time? No. But that's actually part of why I'm comfortable giving Ken five stars. When something wasn't right, he worked to make it right. He and his team stayed engaged through the end of the project, addressed our punch-list items, and have continued to stand behind their work afterward. And we LOVE the result. The kitchen has completely changed the way we live in the house. It has become the place where our family naturally gathers, and it's as comfortable and functional to cook in as it is beautiful. The new bathroom has been equally transformative. At the beginning, I worried that we might be spending too much on the project - and it was significant. But by the end, having seen the amount of work involved and the quality and care that went into it, I felt exactly the opposite: we received very good value for our money. My takeaway is that Ken's particular strength is a substantial, complex project where you need an experienced GC who can keep multiple trades moving, deal with unexpected conditions, solve problems as they arise, and see the whole thing through. Renovating a 130-year-old house isn't easy, and I'd much rather have a contractor who knows how to deal with the inevitable problems and stands behind the finished product. We'd happily hire Ken and Mr. Contractor again.
