Warning do not use this company. We had a project we needed them for for a bathroom. We tore it all out. It was completely ready for them to do the plumbing work on. We hired them to do the plumbing and the Electrical. On the day came for them to set the tub and get everything in for the shower They ended up having a little party in our bathroom not only were the three people there to do the work but guys just seen the truck on the side of the road so they popped into my house at one point I think there was nine of them in my bathroom. Come to the end of the day it's Friday. He says he did a walk around with me, but he didn't at all. He tidy up, said he was done tub was set. Welcome to notice once drywall and everything else starts to come in to play that the showerhead is almost like 3 inches from the ceiling so it's really hard to put a shower up. The pipes for the water were pushed out of the wall too far so when you end up, putting your actual faucet knobs on, they hang way the hell out that should've been pushed way back the actual line for the showerhead and your tap and then the drain doesn't line up straight at all. On the other end by our sink, the vent line was done wrong. It's dripping humidity on my insulation up in my attic that all needed to be fixed and replaced. And let's not get into the electrical as I wanted them to put my fan and light in the centre of the room that was not done. I also asked them to send her the light in the shower and of course like everything else in that shower it was not centered. It was put way closer to the showerhead front then in the middle. . I've emailed them a few times. They responded once basically pointing fingers at me that I should've could've should've done this or that when we paid them to do what we're not experts that they're supposed to be the expert at and we ended up having to stop having them come to our house and get another company to come in and fix everything. Please stay away from them. After emailing them not one person called not one person came by the address to look at it personally themselves to see what they could do to fix it. When I first call RFG to quote the job for my Backflow valve and Sum Pump to stop my basement flooding. Brandon came out and from the beginning, personally, I do like Brandon and would like him to do the job for me and that is why I waited for almost 2 months for him because he was busy with his personal schedule. I really want to give good rating for this company but I cannot because they did not do the good job as they promised. I am sharing my experience and writing this review to make sure if you would like them to do your jobs or not. After he sent me the quotations, I agreed with a deposit. Brandon came with the camera to inspect the location for the backflow valve, for best practice, he told me that the valve must be installed from the outside of the house and he pointed to the location where it should be so my downspout in the front of the house will be ok where it is. I asked many questions regarding to this downspout to make sure that my basement is not flooded again and he assured me that the valve will do that and the downspout will be untouched. And that is the main reason why the valve must be installed outside. I challenged him why the valve cannot do inside to save money since he needs to dig the hole to connect my kitchen line to the main line anyway but he assured me that is the best way for the valve and the downspout in front of my house. For some unknown reasons, when he came to work, he decided to dig a hole in front of my house at a different location and the next thing I found out, he said he must cut my downspout to run somewhere because it is not allowed to connect to where it is. This was not discussed with me when they came to do the quotation. He kept saying that is the city laws but why he did not close or discuss that with me when I asked about this during quotation and camera inspection? Now after the work is done, I realized he took shortcuts and lied to me about why he must cut the downspout and run thru my basement to the front yard because the location of the valve he installed will blocked the downspout and it will flooded my basement. He did not disconnect my old semi-drainage properly and he realized the best shortcut is to cut my downspout. They claimed they have to do extra work which included cutting the downspout and run to my front yard! I am very disappointed but I know that it is helpless to have an argument with Brandon. My front yard now looks very ugly with the downspout running thru my basement and out to the front which is eroding my soil day by day when the water pour out. Brandon knew that I am not happy with this and he tried to Band-Aid the situation with an ugly quick dust or topsoil dumped on top of the 4" pipe to hide it in front of my house. I did some research and I asked him doing the right thing with properly drainage such as something similar to a French trenches to hide this ugly pipe and let the water disperse properly and his reply was that not his responsibility and if I want to do that I must pay him more. Finally, they sent me $775 quotation. For the inside work, I believe they did not dig deep enough for the sum pump line and the kitchen line and the cement thickness is not more than 1-2 inches. When you walk on these spots you can feel like you walk on the pipe underneath. I am afraid the cement will break or crack wide open one day. In addition, the grease trap supposed to install under the ground but they left it on the ground so now it makes lot of unwanted noise when water is running. Overall, I agreed to pay them more for the unforeseen extra work for my kitchen line where the cement is thicker than normal. I am disappointed, frustrated and felt they cheated on me. Called these individuals Jan 23 to run an eel down a drainage pipe which was known to be the problem, these guys ran an eel and told the 94 yr old woman whom owns the house that there was nothing they could do since there was oil plugging things up to report to the city that someone was dumping oil. When I spoke to the inspector he asked me who came up with that oil story I told him RFG he told me the guy must be crazy and when I told him they charged her 320.00 to accomplish nothing he said this guy is obviously dishonest call another plumber which I did 15 minutes later he had everything working same pipe was tree roots no oil at all 150.00 fixed after 3 weeks under water. RFG was trying to sell her a 3200.00 sump pump installation to fix the flooded basement. There was an apprentice and a co-op student that came and looked at the job . It was scheduled for an inspection at $165. The apprentice explained the work he would do and the time frame . He also said he would change it to a quote and not charge me for a inspection . The job was scheduled and a week and half later I got a bill for the $165 . I called and told them to cancel because that not what I was told . They called back and waved the fee . The apprentice arrived with the co-op student at 9:00 am and they jumped right into the work . Around 11:30 I heard them talking about another person . I asked if someone else was coming and he said yes but he was getting his oil changed and doing other stuff. He then said he thinks he is running the clock out . I was dumbfounded . About 12:30 the other guy shows moving like a turtle . He was there for about 2 hrs , did very little( changed 2 plugs) told the other 2 what to do , then left and took the co-op student . The appentice commented again that he was just running the clock up . I told him that him and the co-op student were moving along quickly and getting the job done and his apprearance no help was needed . I also told him the first time I was on a budget and need the job to stay within reason . He agreed that he could have handled it on his own and I wouldnt have bern charged $250 an hr for another guy . So unprofessional . The apprentice was exceptional and did a fantastic job . The somewas posted on facebook about electricians and I mentioned to be cautious about them and the time . Apparently the girl that eorks there didnt like my comment and jumped all over me . Very very unprofessional to agrue with a customer on FB because that customer was a bit upset with what transpired . Instead of saying " Im sorry you feel this way , give us a call and we can discuss it or see what we can retify . No , she choose to AGRUE WITH ME ON FACEBOOK . not cool ! read more
