I also really liked that I could schedule online on Jon's website to make it easier to align my schedule with his availability on my own time. In short, excellent customer service up front and through the whole process start to finish. He might not be the cheapest, and definitely not the most expensive, but it is reasonable and he provides fixed-pricing which he sticks to as long as scope doesn't change. He also pulls all necessary permits and has passed all inspections with flying colors. Jon has now completed two projects for us. About 6 months ago, he installed new bathroom fans in 4 bathrooms and he recently installed an Electric Vehicle charger in our garage (along with a 60 AMP breaker to support it). I received a word-of-mouth recommendation from my neighbors who had Jon perform a much larger project which included significant re-wiring of their entire house, as well as a new breaker panel among other items. Another neighbor had Jon install a bathroom fan as well as some other work. They could not say enough good things about him and they were 100% right. I have nothing but praise for his work quality. I am one of those customers that likes to do a lot of research up front before I buy items for my house. Jon was patient during my bathroom fan researching as well as my EV charger purchasing and provided me his input as-needed. He let me buy my own fans and charger to ensure I got the items that I wanted. Along with all the excellent electrical work that he performed, he also makes sure to check in with the homeowners if there are unexpected decisions that need to be made during his process and he does not push "the expensive option". There were some moments where he had to cut into drywall and he warned me up front that he does not fix drywall (no electrician does). A big bonus goes to his patience, not just with homeowners, but with my kids too. One of my kiddos had a ton of questions and Jon took the time to talk to him and explain how everything worked and some of the fundamentals of electricity (and safety around electricity). They did a fantastic job on that install, however a couple of months after the plugs and switches didn't work on one side of the wall. We call Home Depot and they call Thorogood within 2 days they were out, found the problem to be a faultly circuit breaker on the main box. They replaced it at no charge. Will and his assistant (sorry forgot his name) were both great, very professional, but thing I got was that they did the job as if they were doing it in their own house. Great job and great people.

This is a major plus with going to a larger company (couple dozen + employees). They're likely more available than a smaller self employed shop, which is great for emergencies or if you want something done. Their electrician showed up in time and gave a courtesy heads up call. They explained the work scope and how billing worked (which is hourly, and in my case most small equip was included as opposed to being nickel and dimed). I actually followed him around the house and learned a lot from him as he was happy to explain what was going on. They also worked on a holiday. I had a wicked challenging problem but my electrician was great and showed a lot of patience where as I would have given up. Since they had to come back the following day, I added a couple items (bathroom fan and dimmers) and they were able to accommodate. Goodness was a superb electrician. I've went through two before.. the first was a local small self employed person and he was never able to come back after doing an initial quote. The other was a friend of friend who was great, but lived far away and not a Ali me for the emergency I had. Everything from timelyness, knowledge and expertise, and ease of billing worked out well! I had Mike from SOS electric in my home this morning to do some work for us. I overslept and he…read morewoke me up at 8:00 letting me know the electricity was going to be off. He even waited until I made a cup of coffee before he started ! Bless his heart. Mike was very courteous, professional, He truly knows what he's doing. He had found two breakers in our breaker box in the home that had at one point sparked and caused heat damage to the inside of our breaker box. He replaced those two large breakers, then he also made sure every fire alarm in the house was replaced with a new 10-year battery alarm!! I don't like headaches and that saved me a big five of them!! lol I thought the company has got a great technician with this guy. Then I found out he was the owner! Most owners of companies don't act like they are service technicians! I had no idea and was very impressed with the way he conducted himself, and in doing his business.
