Had an ice box valve behind the refrigerator that needed replaced before a new refrigerator could be installed. Called a large plumbing organization and received an on-site estimate of $1,500. We considered this way out of line and contacted Rob England. After sending Rob photos of the job he gave us an over the phone estimate which he confirmed when he arrived on site (which was ¼ of the previous estimate we received from the other company). Others have already mentioned Rob's attention to detail, and I got see it firsthand when we had a hot water leak in our slab. He rerouted the pipe, just dealing with the specific issue instead of trying to sell us on a full repipe like another firm we had talked to. So yesterday the Gas Company decided to comb my neighborhood and look for possible leaks. They found an extremely small leak on my meter and shut off my gas at 6:00 at night. In the past few weeks I began hearing a thumping sound in my walls and realized it was plumbing related when I opened the water shutoff cabinet in my garage and noticed that there was vibration in exposed pipes that coincided with the noise. I knew I needed an experienced plumber, so I contacted RG England for the first time this morning. RG responded immediately, through text, asking me a few questions and then advising that I bleed the air out of my system, by shutting off the water, opening every single faucet until all water was out of the system, and then turning water back on and shutting valves first on bottom floor and then on second floor. It's not often that you get to say that calling a plumber was a great experience, but that's what today was. My hot water heater went out, and the pilot light wouldn't relight. I called RG to see if they could help, and he called GE for me to see if the heater was under warranty (it wasn't) and gave me options. He spent about 30 minutes texting back and forth with me, asking for pictures of the heater, calling GE. When I mentioned that my spa also didn't heat, he realized that my gas somehow shut off at the earthquake shut off valve. Once I reset it, the water heater fired right up. And I didn't have to pay a cent. RG didn't try to make a house visit just to get a fee. He walked me through it all on the phone, saved me some money, and helped me learn a new trick. Called them in a bind. My other plumber forgot to move up the shower head by about 6" and my tile guys were on site - so I could lath/scratch with shower head in the location of the shower head as is - which I didn't want - OR - try to call 15 plumbers and see if one would come out immediately. 8 plumbers in - RG England agreed to come right over and move up the shower head to save me. Friendly, nice, quick response and quick turn around by the guy who came out. They had good reviews so I called them. But after they came out and spent a lot of time snaking multiple drains etc, They had us remove a toilet to save the $250 fee toilet removal fee.(it takes less than 5 min to remove a toilet (2 bolts, 1 hose)) the plumber left to take something to another plumber, and then came back and tried snaking another drain at our office, our problem was not fixed. They charged us $265 for their troubleshooting... and wanted us to pay them and additional $150+ to cut into the dry wall and add I believe he said a flush out... Then we would also have to pay someone to repair the wall. Our handy man later that night used a shop vac and vacuumed out the sink that was not draining properly. He puled out a lot debris in the drain and now it works fine. Not sure why the plumber would not troubleshoot the sink that was having the draining problem instead of removing the toilet next to it and snaking from further up the line... I called and spoke to the owner on this, and he said not to worry about the bills. I was shocked... He is working hard to keep the customers happy. Thank you. read more

Our water heater went cold - on a Friday of course - and I called several local plumbers, most of which could only come by Monday, and one of which did not service my brand of water heater. I never got a call back from a couple of plumbers, but RG called back promptly. RG England asked me to send them photos of the water heater and control box using my phone, and they were able to narrow down the problem to one of two things. They came out on Saturday and replaced the thermocouple, which solved the problem. It was a $190 fix which seemed reasonable for a Saturday service call. read more

Very happy with this company. I had a vanity and toilet that needed to be pulled out in my guest bath. I was having the entire bathroom re-textured. I was in a time crunch. Water heater broke down right before the holiday and I couldn't find anyone who had the part in stock. Called around on a Sunday to try to find a plumber and everyone either did not pick up, had to order the part, or wanted the price of the water heater to come out and fix it. My shower was operating with very low pressure, making the term "quick shower" meaningless in my house. I called my regular plumber, but they were not sure of the problem, and declined to work on it. I found RG England on Yelp. They responded very quickly and made an first-time adjustment that did not solve the problem, which was very complex. Ron came out, again quickly, made more tests and explained all the options available to search out the blockage. Some were expensive, but he gave me a good price on the one I chose, and it turned out to be the correct one. Now I have way more pressure than I every had in 25 years living there.
