No musty smells here! They have a curtained off area where one can try on their finds to see if they're Cinderella. I didn't see negotiations with other guests but the gentlemen helping me was very kind and gave me an awesome deal. A coat, jacket, dress, purse and two sweaters for $35. I love to thrift shop , so I'm browsing around in the internet and found them , so I went to check them out and I'm happy that I did a lot of selections and I brought me a pair of uggs (original no fake ) that retails for $160 barely used for $ 55 I always wanted them but $160 for rain boots is a no no for me .. highly recommended give them a visit. read more

It's a no for me Dawg. I was super stoked about being so near a thrift store but sadly it turned out to be a waste of time after a good walk over. Aside from the stony blank look u receive when you enter this place looks like a hoarder's wet dream. Piles of shoes just tossed in a corner ONLY separated by gender because who cares about proper shoe size? Ha! I wasn't appreciating the look of this place but the fun is searching for the treasures a thrift store has to offer right? Ha again! I would've found more treasure sifting through a land fill no exaggeration. Besides the fact that there is NO ORDER to the clothes (by size, color or hell,state of being) they are mainly in shabby condition. There was not one item I saw that wass worth more than 3 bucks and since there were NO PRICES on anything i guess after searching through the derelict racks I'm expected to play Let's Make a Deal at the counter. Sadly a lot of the clothes look like they needed to be in a recycle bin. Unassuming from the outside, it's filled with quality designer gems and seriously awesome stuff. Prada, Armani, Versace, Burberry and then Club Monaco, Banana Republic and Ralph Lauren. I don't think the family that owns this place knows exactly what's on their hands. I managed to get a silk/cashmere Banana Republic sweater for $7, a vintage cashmere sweater for $7, and a Club Monaco sweater for $7. And then he gave me a discount, randomly! Fur coats, tweed jackets and blazers, dresses and skirts, winter coats and jeans. Men's and women's stuff, all just top notch. There were a lot of imported goods, from Paris etc. They also have shoes but I didn't see much that I wanted. The prices are on the wall but disregard because the guy at the counter determines how much he wants to sell it for - usually at a good price. It's cash only, so come ready. read more

The store does not know how to price Items correctly especially the condition that they're in and he over charges and he's not willing to negotiate. Take your shopping else where. This place is downright amazing. I had the opportunity to stop in this past weekend and literally struck gold. Not only were they so helpful and patient with me but they helped me personally find things that I liked at such reasonable prices! It's a thrift store people, so yes you have to dig a little but let them know what you are looking for! Everyone is so afraid to ask for help anymore. I remember when RGR first started, and it was cheap and interesting. Now the owner has found "hipsters" and jacked up his prices 400 to 500 percent. First of all, he quotes prices according to race, which I find incredible. It's one price for an African, another for a Latino, and of course, you had better believe it, anyone who is white gets the high mark up. Plus he's stuffing the money in drawers and I suspect New York City sees about 1 percent of it, if that much. The guy is running a cash only clearing house for who knows what ends. If you want to reward greed and cheating, then shop here. He has retired people with good taste sorting through the stuff that comes in, he wouldn't know a Fubu from a Fendi. It's only new transplants to Bushwick who are silly enough to pay what he asks - oh and it changes quite often. I saw a fake fur vest one week and he quoted $25. A few days later, it was $40. He doesn't price down, he prices up. There are much better, and much cheaper second hand stores all up and down Broadway run by much more honest, less discriminating, and better businesspeople for the community than this one. Why reward flagrant dishonest and rip-off business practices that do nothing for the community, you the consumer, or anyone else except his bulging wallet? read more

I've been to a lot of different thrift shops but this one by far was the least interesting. There aren't any prices on the items, nobody comes by to answer your questions and you wouldn't want to go to the fitting room on your own...that's if you can even call that a fitting room. Yup. This place is flat out amazing. I will be making many a trip back here. I read the previous two reviews and I thought there is no way it is that good- well there is. Brand names everywhere! It is true that there are children's and mens clothes as well but not as much as ladies. The shoes and handbags are scattered, there is bedding as well but its all just in huge bins in the back- the clothes are where its at! Most of the dresses I found were $7 each and the man at the counter threw one of the shirts in for free because it had a small hole in it. The only reason why I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars is because it could be a little clearer how much things cost and a bit cleaner feeling inside- the rows are not fully defined and sections are outlined by computer paper pasted to the wall with handwritten sharpie notices. read more

I found boots in a brand I had never heard of and was surprised when I paid $40 bucks but when I got home and googled the label I was shocked to see that it was an expensive brand.
