Second time using Ross's Tax service. Great interaction with Ross from being afar. First time in person, and did it again this year in Japan. Moved last year to oversea location here and the scheduled appointment reminder, auto reminder and the uploading of sensitive documents flows very seamlessly. He has two method on the actual day of the appointment (Skype/Facetime) which was easy and simple to use. The interaction with Ross was great, easy to talk to, understand/ knows his job, ensure what can and is tax detectable. Glad I went with him and this year. I own a small business and also work a day job. Taxes are never my thing. I usually use Turbo Tax for my personal taxes, however with my business now and filing with my wife/daughter, it was imperative to have a pro handle it. How have I not written a review already?! This is the greatest group to ever exist for individual tax prep, business taxes and book-keeping services. Ross did my individual return and schedule C for the first time in 2017. He did such a great job that I had him go back and amend my prior returns. In one meeting i realized i was missing out on many deductions that the other professionals never mentioned. Three years already? Amazing. I still can't imagine using anyone but Ross. Being a military family, I know we'll have to move at some point in the next few years but I will continue to use him, no matter the distance. I'm grateful he thought of things to add to my return for Uber so I could get that money back. RH Tax Consulting provided hope for us. We asked for help with our 2015 taxes, after using the computer program from a leading tax software company told us we would be owing several thousand in federal and a few thousand in state. Ross looked over our taxes and found we were getting almost $9,000 back in fed and several thousand from California. He then suggested that he look over 2014 taxes with these same wonderful results. Instead of owing several thousands of dollars, we were able to get nearly 20,000 back. To be fair, I didn't actually use his service. I tried. That is the reason for the 2 star review. I tried to contact him, but was pushed into the digital grinder that is his website. He didn't want to talk to me until I had scheduled a phone call on his website, and the only times were late in the evenings when I want to spend time with my family, not talk to tax guys. The site asks you to agree to terms that you can't even see. I booked, then missed, the phone appointment, which is on me. But I never got any kind of follow up from RH Tax. So, I left his site feeling like I'm just another number to him, not a person. What happened to the days when you could just call someone without being made to jump through a bunch of hoops? Alas, the search for a new tax guy continues. read more

I was introduced to Ross through family member. I hired Ross to help me with some back tax filings and to handle my current year. Ross is very knowledgable, efficient and so very nice. Filing taxes can be very stressful, not with Ross! Ross knows the questions to ask and where there be an opportunity for a deduction which are often overlooked. He is easy to reach and walks you through entire process. No need to meet him in person as his phone appointments are thorough and without interruption as it is your scheduled time. If you get to meet him in person that is an added bonus as he is so likable. I HATE tax season. That being said, Ross made this years experience quite pleasant. His rates are VERY reasonable and the office in his home was comfortable. We brought our newborn with us and he was very accommodating, Ross and his associate were delightful!
