I appreciated Dr. Reid, who treated me because she is the best specialist/doctor I've ever seen…read more Dr. Reid listened to all of my concerns, which involved chronic pain due to debilitating diagnoses. It was a huge breath of relief when I felt believed and heard and when my healing began. Unlike the first and prior person, she was professional and requested appropriate labs, screening/scans, discussed medication, and addressed many questions that I had. She answers questions, checks in with your health in detail including labs, staff calls you back (and communicates effectively), and she tremendously helped me with a diagnosis and testing, on top of treating my conditions. She cares about her patients and she is very well-versed on so many medical conditions. Dr. Reid and staff--I sincerely hope I can come back to you one day. I still haven't been able to find a rheumatologist who can treat me. Note: If you have e1N$t31N, good luck having them diagnose your fibromyalgia/chronic pain, and then NOT treating it because you might want to look into it first. Thank you for your help again.

Turns out I missed my appointment, I called to make them aware I was stuck elsewhere and could not make it. The following day I call to reschedule. I was immediately put on hold and after a few minutes I was told I would have to wait until August. Okay, so I scheduled appointment. A few hours later around 4pm I receive another call from the office. I guess it was the scheduling manager, she literally reprimanded me over the phone. I explained to her why I missed the appointment and that I called etc. I even offered to pay the co pay because I was canceling the day of. That didn't matter, she continued. She explained to me that if I miss my August or any other appointment I would never been seen. She stated the doctors time is very important etc. Now I understand that I was in the wrong but I don't need to be yelled at twice in one day in the span of 8 hours by two different people. Things happen! Needless to say I cancelled my August appointment and I will go elsewhere. Stay away from this place. The girls are terribly rude and they don't understand that things happen. If I could I would give zero stars!

I have been in severe pain and agony all year, and the pain and number of joints effected continue to increase month after month. These two employees have no compassion and humanity, are cold hearted, and prefer made up rules and regulations (which they never told me about) to patient care, wellness, and simple caring for humanity. I had a family emergency earlier in the year and was unable to make my initial appointment. I mistakenly forgot to cancel. When I tried to call and reschedule they refused to reschedule stating that the rule was written on the initial forms they mailed me, that if you forget to cancel your initial appointment you are black balled forever! I never heard of such a thing! This was never verbally communicated to me, and since I had not yet completed the forms I had no way of knowing. When I apologized, and asked for understanding, and an exception, I received coldness. When I offered to pay a cancellation fee and again apologized I received "These are the rules." When I asked "Can you make an exception?"' I was told "No! This is policy!". It's sad because these doctors came highly recommended, which I relayed to them, but they didn't want to hear it. I would really like to hear from one of the doctors, or doctor Norden, to explain how in this day and age, a doctor could turn down a patient seeking care? Are the doctors even aware the office staff are miserable, unprofessional, employees, who have no social skills to make the patients feel welcome? In the meantime, I have already found another excellent rheumatologist with a pleasant and friendly staff who treat the patients like family. And ladies, please lighten up, and laugh a little bit. Life is to short to be miserable.

I saw Dr Udell for the first time last week and I have to leave a review so people are not afraid…read moreto see this group like I was. After reading online reviews I was looking for a rheumatologist ANYWHERE else. After finding no local success with a reasonable appointment, I decided that I had no choice. I'm so glad that i didn't wait for another doctor farther away. Dr Udell is patient, kind, timely and very knowledgeable. He does hum during the appointment but it's not rude nor was it annoying. It was actually comforting to me. The staff was very kind to me. The only reason I only gave 4 stars was the office decor is very outdated in my opinion. But as long as the doctor does a good job, I can over look the decor. Update: I saw Dr Udell for a few more visits. I felt dismissed and called a liar when I reported back to the doctor that I had an allergic reaction to a medication he prescribed. He told me that no one would be allergic in a few doses. He told me that there was nothing more that he could do and told me that I should exercise by walking around a mall. I wonder if he would have would have said that to a man.

I brought x-rays and the report and indicated I had blood work done as well. Dr. Johnson basically said I had to live with the pain since it didn't appear to be psoriatic arthritis (I have psoriasis) or rheumatoid arthritis. There was no mention of treatment options such as occupational therapy, cortisone shots, etc. She suggested over the counter pain relievers such as Aleve, which I obviously used when I initially began having pain. When I expressed that I had difficulty accepting a "you just have to live with it" treatment, she told me to wait and see if it gets worse and then I could call them again. I went to a specialist to be somewhat preventative, even though I was already having pain and visible signs (nodes) that something was wrong, instead of waiting until I basically have no movement in my hands to be "eligible" for treatment! I have never written a review before, but I felt that Dr. Johnson's "treatment plan" to "just live with it" was such an injustice that I do not want anyone else to waste their time or money. I am only in my early 50's, and while I would find her "diagnosis" unacceptable at any age, it is appalling to me that a doctor would say that when someone potentially has several decades of life left to live. Please use this review as 1) a strong recommendation not to see Dr. Jill Johnson, and 2) a reminder that it is absolutely okay to question doctors, not agree with them, and get 2nd opinions.

I would not trust my primary care to any practice than doesn't include Dr. Kevin Zakrzewski, and Dr. Joseph McAllister. Not only are they exceptional at their craft, they elevate it by their professional, and personal rapport with patients, genuine sincerity, earned trust, and consistency. Yes, sometimes the wait can exceed 10-15 minutes to speak with a receptionist. However, when you do reach them, they are kind, cordial, detail-oriented, and helpful. My most recent hold time was under four (4) minutes. So, it depends on the day and time you call, and there's more than one office you can contact. The offices for Abington Plaza Medical Associates are located in Levy Medical Plaza at 1235 Old York Rd, in Abington, directly across the street from the hospital. Parking is $4 flat rate at Scully Garage. Once you enter the building from the ground level, the offices for Abington Plaza Medical Associates are one for up and to your left, as you exit the elevator. Many of the tasks you need help with can be assisted through the MyChart app for Jefferson Health. There, you can do everything from checking test results, notes from visits, see past and upcoming appointments, medications, and your entire care team for every specialty. You can request refills for prescriptions, send non-urgent messages, request and schedule appointments, see upcoming tests, and procedures scheduled/required. The doctors and the nurses check messages regularly, and are responsive in a timely manner. The offices are clean, well-kept, and wait times upon arrival for a visit are never long. There's a wonderful support staff of nurses that are truly an extension of the doctors. Beth, who is Dr. McAllister's second lifeline, is always a delight. As soon as she calls your name to come back to the patient offices, she immediately goes through each and every medication, to ensure the records are accurate and up to date, as well as if refills are needed, asks relevant questions to determine how you are doing, physically and mentally, and proceeds to take your blood pressure, temperature, and heart rate. Beth and Dr. McAllister work hand in hand to deliver superior patient care, as does the phenomenal Dr. Zakrzewski. There's reason why booking a general appointment takes so long- the doctors are outstanding and in high demand. And when instances arise for an appointment with a CRNP, Kelly Lappa is thorough, providing superior patient care. The one doctor to avoid, Bostros Shenoda, MD. His past judgement calls utilized poor problem-solving, and misdiagnosing. He told me on more than one occasion that I may have an autoimmune disorder. However, upon checking myself into the hospital and requesting full labs for everything, the results from the gluten test that popped up on my phone on the MyChart app indicated my allergy/intolerance to gluten, which was the issue preventing my WBCs from focusing on attacking Covid, and bronchitis. Completely unacceptable. However, that's not the quality of care you can nor should expect from any other medical professional at Abington Medical Associates. I'd drive an hour each way to see the best team of doctors and nurses, in Abington, Warrington, etc, to know my health and well-being are safeguarded by Doctors, McAllister, and Zakrzewski, et al!
