BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY IN WARRENSBURG: Company has not returned to finish the window and siding job…read morestarted in March and via email they are not going to complete the job but they're wanting the final payment! We are still sitting with no sliding glass door, no side door, no screen door, no shutters, no outlets and vents replaced, and windows that are needed uninstalled and reinstalled correctly per a Pella premium installers, along with the new siding that will need painted due to damaged pieces being installed and nails being covered with colored cocking. This is per the James Hardie company after sending pictures. This all started because I had a leak in my roof and I contacted this company to do a brand new roof and was sold on windows and siding. With the rain we have received the last few weeks, you can hear raindrops coming in around my chimney where the original leak started. After another roofing company came to my home last week to see why I was hearing water dripping behind my fireplace when raining, we were informed and shown pictures that my roof was not properly installed! I am obviously not a roofer and I thought at least the roof (which I have paid for in full) was probably done correctly to now be informed that it also was not done properly and now literally every part of this job has to be redone!!! Per our contract, we are to have mitigation before any legal action can be taken! So how is it a company with this stipulation is able to just walk away from a job because it is just too much to correct and make right?!? There is a reason this company has shut down the Lees Summit location and is only practicing out of Warrensburg Missouri! And how long until they are shut down in Warrensburg? When contacted the team, I received a response in less than 24 hours and sometimes I received the response in person. They even fixed a problem with the roof that had never been resolved by a roofing company to ensure I didn't continue to have issues with water run off ruining my soffits. Every day they left the job site cleaner than it was when they started the job. My family and I always felt comfortable with everyone that was on site and they ensured there was as little disruption to our daily lives as possible. When there were delays in getting the windows, that I ordered separately, they were understanding and prompt in getting back out to my house to get the last piece of the job completed. Ironically, this same company responded expressing interest in bidding the project again. I replied that they had already been hired once and failed to show up. That message also went unanswered. I can't verify what happened on their end, but I can say that I never received any calls or text messages from them that day, despite repeatedly reaching out myself. More importantly, I had contacted the company at least three times during the day asking when the technician would arrive. If they truly believed the technician had been unable to reach me, that would have been the perfect opportunity to tell me. Instead, no one mentioned any difficulty contacting me until after I had posted my reviews later that evening. I understand that honest mistakes happen. A wrong phone number is a mistake. What turned this into a one-star experience was the lack of proactive communication. If the company had contacted me promptly, explained the situation, and rescheduled, this review would likely be very different. Instead, I spent an entire day waiting, repeatedly asking for updates, and only received an explanation after leaving public reviews. We originally hired Bordner Home Improvement to fix a leak coming into our main floor ceiling…read morespecifically because of their stellar online reviews and thinking they were a quality local company (they were actually sold to a private equity company in 2024 and are no longer locally owned). Tyler came out and looked over our issue, he told us that after replacing the head flashing above the window behind the stucco there "would be no more leak, 100% or we'll come back out and fix it" and not to worry since it's backed by a 1-year guarantee just in case the leak didn't show up until further into the rainy season. Given their online reviews we completely trusted his word and were expecting the same great experience so many others have had. Unfortunately, our experience was not what we were told or expecting. Poor Workmanship & Unauthorized Charges: They ripped out the stucco and installed new flashing, but the workmanship was poor (see photos). When we immediately emailed them with photos and concerns, they dismissed us and ran an unauthorized charge on our card for the balance. It took persistent messaging before they admitted the work was subpar and agreed to fix it. The Leak Wasn't Fixed: Even after the cosmetic "fix" (which still left us to paint the new stucco ourselves), the window leaked the very next time it rained. Misdiagnosis & Upselling: After contacting them multiple times about the continued leaking, they agreed to send a couple guys out to do a "water test" with a garden hose. Less than 15 minutes after arriving, they had quickly determined the issue was actually at the bottom of the window--not the top area they had just charged us $2,395 to repair. Their new solution was to suggest we buy completely new windows. It seems incredibly shady that they didn't perform a simple hose test before ripping out stucco and charging $2,395 for a completely unnecessary repair. While they may have done great work for some others, I would look elsewhere unless you want to spend time and money only to end up worse off than before you hired them.

A representative came out to discuss a new roof plus siding for my home. At first things went well…read morebut in the end I was not impressed and these are the reasons why. First he did not give me his business card which it's just a common courtesy. Second, when we were talking about metal roof he was telling me that they use rivets to fasten the roof material down. Then he added you have to have somebody come out every couple of years to tighten the rivets. Thirdly, he contradicted the lady in the office and he said quotes were only good for 30 days whereas she said that they were good for one year. He didn't bring any samples inside so we had to go out to his truck , in this July heat, and he never showed me any of the siding samples, only the roof. He did not give me any quotes except he did say that it would cost $1000 10 ft.² which would work out to about 14k for my roof. He also told me that they very expensive and he acted like I didn't have the money to pay even though I told him that it would be next year before any work would be done plus I would pay in cash. All in all, this was not a good representation of this company. It was a letdown for me because I felt like he thought I didn't know anything and that I'm just an ignorant woman that can be taken advantage of by men who are in the construction field. So I use them? Most likely not and it's all because of the rivets.
