2020 was the year I had finally gotten my act together and decided it was time to buy a place.  I am a first-time homebuyer,  and was extremely nervous about the whole thing.  I kept reading things online, and thought I was ready, but it turns out reading about it is different than when you're in it. Amy was not actually the first realtor I contacted, but the first guy told me straight off that I would have to compromise on what I wanted (!).  The second guy was so overbearing and mansplainy in our first call I could barely get a word in.  Finally a friend told me to contact Amy, and I was so glad they did! I'm not the highest-end buyer, but she took tons of time to walk me through the whole thing.  She was willing to visit places with me for months, even though I kept not liking any of them.  She didn't pressure me, she didn't tell me to not want what I wanted, and when I apologized for wasting her time told me thatI wasn't. She was willing to look at places that I brought to her.  And when I did find a place I wanted, but was asking more money than I really wanted to spend, she helped me make an offer, and worked back and forth with the selling agent.  When things got to a head and I told her I would walk away, she once again didn't tell me I was making a horrible mistake or try to pressure me into doing something I wasn't comfortable with.  During the entire process she patiently answered my million questions via text (and email). At the end of the day I ended up buying a place I love.  Without her unflagging enthusiasm, I probably would have given up.  She was exactly the realtor I needed.and I can't recommend her enough! read more

My wife and I worked with Amy during summer 2019 to buy our first home. I don't think I have ever been more satisfied with the work someone has done for me in my entire life! We interviewed a few other realtors based on recommendations but Amy was immediately and clearly more professional and prepared than anyone else we met. Being new to purchasing a home and having grown up out of state we needed quite a bit of help figuring out exactly what we were looking for and what we could afford. Amy made all of it so easy! We initially had a fairly specific area that we wanted to live in that we probably couldn't afford. Amy was able to gently but confidently show us homes that went outside our area and purview and found us a wonderful home in a neighborhood we weren't even aware of! Amy helped us purchase our first home during the crazy market in July 2016. After hearing horror stories from friends who'd recently purchased homes, we went into this thinking we'd have to put in numerous offers and deal with the emotional heartbreak of losing house after house. I had the misfortune to work with Brittany Groves on a transaction that was profoundly mismanaged. Brittany clearly didn't understand the market we were in and seemed to have only the most rudimentary understanding of the buying and selling process. 9-22-18 Brittany "Brie" just became aware of my review and called me to tell me how hurtful the review is. I explained the reasons for my review and all she could say was that she is a good realtor. Amy helped us buy our home back in 2011 (and had I known she was on yelp I'd write a lot earlier). Amy was extremely patient and thorough, I honestly think we looked at every house in our price range because I was one of those clients. Even when I'm sure she knew it wouldn't fit, she spent her time taking us around to satisfy my curiousity. She never pressured us nor tried to sell us on a property, nor pushed us out of our budget. We may have been one of her first banked owned home transactions and she did her research and used her resources to speed up the deal and keep us informed. TL;DR Amy is awesome, and you should definitely use her for your real estate needs! Yelp defines 5 stars as "Woohoo! As good as it gets!" - I couldn't choose more appropriate words to describe our experience with Amy Towillis of Rhino Roz Realty. As previous reviews have said, Amy was also referred to us by some friends who had worked with her to buy their home. I think it says something that she only works on referrals! We met Amy at this friends house during a SuperBowl party and briefly discussed what we were looking for. (when I say briefly, I mean brief - the whole conversation lasted maybe 20 min.) The next day, we scheduled a more formal appointment and brought several listings with us to talk about things we liked and didn't like. Amy showed up with a dozen listings that matched our needs herself; one of those listings happened to be the one we liked the most, and brought ourselves. This was the first indication that we were all on the same page and that Amy had truly listened to our needs/wants in just that first short conversation. Next, we scheduled a few viewings throughout the following week, including the house that we would ultimately buy. When we decided that we wanted to put an offer on it, Amy worked with us to create the strongest offer, in order to beat out any other potential buyers, but without overspending. When the seller accepted our offer, Amy became our primary lane of communication between the rest of our "team". When we couldn't get an answer from someone, (and there were many times we didn't) Amy followed up and kept pressing in order to get us the information we needed. Amy's dedication to her customers and their experience cannot be overstated. She makes you feel like a friend, and not just another sale. She is extremely well organized and detailed, and will exhaust every option to ensure your buying experience is better than expected. Amy had to get creative on more than one occasion, to work through some of the hurdles we experienced, and at no point did she complain about anything. She was in our corner from the word "Go," and her positive attitude and resolve kept us from giving up a few times. If you're in the buying market, Amy should definitely be on speed-dial! I'd also recommend asking her for recommendations for the rest of your "team" (Escrow, Lender, etc.) as we wished we had better people to work with on the other side of the table. read more

After speaking with Amy over the phone she visited our house the next day and provided great feedback and suggestions for staging and getting our house prepped for selling. She proposed to have a pre-inspection of our house to ensure there wouldn't be any issues during inspection once we found a buyer (smart, no other agent has ever proposed this).
