Not only was the place clean, but they had good pricing, and the most pleasant staff I've ever interacted with in a game store! My wife even informed me that this is the most comfortable she's felt interacting with folks in a Game Store. My most favorite thing they sold, that my wife and I bought 3 of, was custom pre-made decks, one for MTG Commander, and two for Star Wars Twin Suns. I've never seen a Game Store sell custom pre-made decks constructed by the staff. Really cool concept that more stores should do! I hope to come back to Arizona just so I can give them more of my business.

When they finally opened, they were told that it was already full because the store allowed people to sign up in advance despite the event showing 0 applicants. They were told to sign up on the waiting list. They were selected to play in the tournament (which was supposed to secure a box of OP17) The store failed to uphold what their event said and then refused to sell my husband a box after allowing them both into the event. The manager specifically told my husband "we will not be selling you a box". The store was rude. I can't imagine coming all the way back here for a store that is run like this.

What a joke--that room is already booked solid anyway, and it costs a ton of money. That really showed on a recent visit when I tried to return a can of paint I had bought the day before, after realizing I already had that color. The store manager looked at me like a disapproving parent, sighed, and told me I "return too many items." She didn't say I was breaking any store policy -- only that it was inconvenient for them. I've made returns before, always with a receipt and always following their clearly posted return policy. For how much I've supported the store, it honestly offended me to be spoken to that way. It felt condescending and uncomfortable in a place I used to really enjoy. I did get my refund as a gift card, and I went back today knowing it would probably be my last visit. I picked up a board game and set it down on a table while I looked up what sleeves I'd need. An employee came over, took the game without a word, and put it back on the shelf. I said, "Oh, I was going to get that," and he just said "oh" and walked away. When I went to check out, that same employee -- who knew my name -- had a rude attitude the entire time. After I asked for my receipt, he looked at me and said, "Mind the return policy this time." That sealed it for me. Some of the pricing on the games are better here than other stores, although I still cross checked because some of the games we bought ended up being cheaper elsewhere however it's nice to support something that can bring friends and family together! The owner is super nice and knowledgeable about the games, gives great recommendations, and as small as it is waived the fees to a water bottle (they sell a few drinks here) that I was going to buy on a 112 degree day that we came in on. Would highly recommend shopping here as there's options for beginners as well as gamers!
