the only reason this is a two star review is because delivery man was awsome. i decided to order…read morefrom a local business during these times to support my town. but i should have gone to home depot. to start the 3/4 in plywood came completely warped. the 2x12x10 pressure treated lumber i ordered looked like a child cut it. the ends and curved so bad that i had to cut almost 2inches off both sides. and there is a huge indent on both sides of one that took 45 mns of sanding to fix. the other 10 footer has chipped all down the side as if they ran it into a dump truck a few times. i have never sean wood at such low quality. and to top everything off i got the plywood to meet the order minimum for free delivery and without my knowledge or a bill charges my card a delivery fee. i was told it would be refunded but it has not. go anywhere but here.

We've always gotten the stain at UBS. They tell me there is only 1 person in the place that knows how to tint. Apparently they don't keep good records. I was there in October and Gil helped me out and tinted the stain for me. Two weeks ago, John tinted the stain for me. Now I'm trying to get the last 7 gallons in the store (hard to find base) and their "one guy" is out sick, but I can buy the 7 gallons in Richmond and take them to their Westerly store to see if someone might be able to help me (WTF). It is not an option to send an employee from Westerly to Richmond to cover. I'm leaving the place this morning and Gil is in the little building where you have to stop so they can check your receipt. UNBELIEVABLE! I called and canceled the order and told the guy on the phone he should contact their Richmond store so they're not stuck with 7 gallons of my color if the guy should come to work. A very mismanaged business ... no wonder they don't bother opening Richmond on Saturdays. It is the only place I could find the base stain we've been using ... $58.84/gallon out the door. What really sucks is I now have to change the color and start painting all over again.

Kitchen Direct and the President/Owner Peter Curti took $35,000 of our money and never completed…read morethe renovation of our kitchen. All our bottom kitchen doors were made incorrect. We were given plywood doors and drawers when we paid for real wooden doors. All the staining was missing throughout the kitchen. Front and bottom panels were never installed and a top cabinet door was never made. Because of the wrong size cabinets we also cannot access our trash or recycling bins. The cabinets we chose were Showplace Cabinetry and even though our kitchen is under warranty, Showplace refuses to do the warranty work. Showplace will only deal with the Kitchen Direct. Throughout the entire kitchen renovation there were a multitude of mistakes, errors, inaccurate measurements etc. Scott C. sent us a letter telling us that he was too frustrated and that he quit. We fought this for months through the BBB and the RI Attorney General's office. Kitchen Direct is not a reputable company. The AG's office does not have the authority to force him to complete the work, or to have his license revoked. We have called Showplace and sent emails to the President, only to be hung up on and emails that went unanswered. We have been living a nightmare, and we do not have the money to obtain an Attorney. After paying $35,000 our only option is to paint the entire kitchen and hire someone to build a cabinet door and all the missing panels, again, we do not have the money! If Scott Curti has a rebuttal with this complaint, PLEASE BE AWARE!!!!! Do not purchase any cabinetry from Kitchen Direct, Inc. or any cabinetry that is made by Showplace Cabinetry as they will not stand by their mistakes and only will deal with the kitchen company direct and not the homeowner. When we met Peter, he knew exactly what we were looking to do and suggested various design options. We trusted him to design our kitchen and also select the best cabinet line for our vision. We were not easy to work with because we were VERY specific with our wants--- we tweaked our layout around 50 times before we finalized it.
