She is very knowledgeable, a great listener, fun to talk to and always mixes up my sessions. No PT session is ever the same and she challenges me at every session to do more than I think I am capable of doing. Ciara customizes every session based on how I am doing and always gives recommendations on ways to improve and get better. Because of her sessions, my knees have improved, and I am able to go on much longer walks and I am able to do my day-to-day activities with greater ease. My hip issues have improved dramatically. RISE in Solana Beach is a small PT office but they do a great job in their space to provide an hour of great, personalized PT care. I am fortunate to have found this great office and Ciara close by.

One issue was the room was very small, so I would be hitting my body when getting up. The PT or PTA should have moved the table out but I think they moved so this problem is probably resolved. My 2nd issue is one of the Pt or PTA used so much pressure that I had a black and blue bruise and was in a lot pain. My mom, a registered nurse, wanted me to go to urgent care as the bruising was really bad. My 3rd issue is after my prescription ran out from the doctor they told me I so come back for 12 PT more visits. They did not ask me to run that by my doctor at all. I ran it by 2 different orthopedic surgeons who said no wait until after surgery for more PT. The company then called me to schedule even though my doctors said to wait. From my experience, I do not think high of the PT at Proactive at all.

Accidentally, I landed myself with Miss Bam J, as the therapist is called. Bam is very skilled, courteous and does therapy work absolutely following all the codes with care, beyond by expectations. She won't talk much but her skills will speak volumes during the sessions as well as after wards. I recovered well and still continuing with her. You will feel safe and secure under her care and will fall asleep many a times during the session. This is the testimony of her skills. Over the course of about a week, I called 7-8 times, left multiple voicemails, and even submitted an inquiry through the website. I never received a single callback or email response. Eventually, I stopped by the office in person because I couldn't get anyone to respond. When I explained that I had been trying to reach the office for a week, the front desk staff dismissed my concerns and told me I must have had the wrong phone number. To make sure, I called the number right there in the office, and their phone rang. I completely understand if my daughter needed a physician referral to use insurance, that wasn't the issue. The issue was the lack of communication and the way I was treated. Rather than receiving a helpful explanation, I felt dismissed and unwelcome from the moment I walked in. I can't speak to the quality of the physical therapists themselves, but first impressions matter. Unfortunately, the customer service and front office experience were enough for me to choose to take my business elsewhere.

This was my first time in a recovery, shoreline was referred to me from the detox place I started…read moreat. When I was picked up they sent a house manager to get me and he really started to ask question and seemed really sincere, when I arrived to the house I was greeted by some of my soon to be roommates and it was amazing how they all seemed to make sure I was good, alder if I needed food or go to the store? They pretty much made me feel very welcomed. Then I started doing the groups and learned a lot about myself! My one on ones with my therapist really made a big difference and I was able to get through a lot of trauma that was the underlying of root causes to some of my addictions. Since I graduated the program and starting to reintroduce myself to regular life. I have no cravings. If I think about using they come and are gone as fast as they came. I have to say that it was the development of the tools and all the classes and group settings. They really help me get through this and prepare me mentally to think of life in a different aspect and realize that I'm how much better person in sobriety than I ever was in my addiction and I'm grateful for everybody at Shoreline counselors therapist staff they all have made a big impact on the person that I am today and moving forward.
