We hired Jerry from Rhudd's Landscape to complete the crushed stone foundation for a 10x14' reeds ferry shed and we are entirely satisfied with the work performed. I used yelp to send out the job request to a dozen landscapers in the Boston area and we ended up having 6 come to the property to provide estimates. Jerry's estimate was 25% less than any of the other companies, including the big name ("& sons") in Milton. Jerry provided the estimate within 24 hours (unlike half the landscapers who provided estimates, who took as long as 2 weeks to submit) and also was able to work us in to their schedule much much earlier than I expected based on conversations with other landscapers. The team appeared to be using top of the line equipment and were amazingly professional throughout their time on the job. Fantastic work and 100% I have already begun recommending their work to my neighbors, so I'm looking forward to seeing Rhudd's back on the street soon I hope. read more

I called on a Wednesday, leaving a message. The response was less than a day. After that, things went downhill from there. During the phone call, my info was requested. I agreed to send, as well as some photos of the work needed. I rec'd a text 9:14pm that evening asking if I was "still planning to send me your info for me to come see your property"? I replied with my address and a promise to send photos in the morning, with notice that I'm a caregiver and "sometimes I get caught up". I sent photos of my property the next morning (Thursday). I heard nothing from Mr. Rhutt on Friday so I called Saturday, and in our convo he said he would come by Sunday and look at the property. I asked what time, he said afternoon. Sunday afternoon came and went. No call, no show. That's very frustrating. read more

Beware! I contacted this company by email on May 8th 2023 for an estimate on lawn fertilization. Jerry came to my house on May 9th and sent me an estimate by email on May 10th. I wrote back asking for some references in Milton. He wrote back informing me that he does not give out references without checking with his clients. I did not hear from him for a while. I again reminded him by email. He wrote back saying he will check with one client. I did not hear from him for a while. I called him on his cel phone using my cel phone on May 15th and asked for references. He asked me to give him my phone number (strange!) and he would text me the references. Although it appeared odd, I gave him my cel phone number. Immediately I started getting large number of spam phone calls and text messages. I have still not received any references. I keep on getting spam calls and messages. read more

One the worst companies in the south shore region. Completely unprofessional and the owner Jerry has zero ability to complete projects timely. I had a simple spring clean out of front and backyard. The crew refused to cut the grass, remove shrubs because a dog poo in the backyard. What "landscapers" refuse to work due to that reason? Answer is none. I paid in full and still haven't had my yard serviced according to contract. read more

Had these guys in for a winter cleanup of my front and back yards. Put down mulch where I needed and trimmed all bushes back for the season. Did a great job and prices were very reasonable compared to other quotes that I got which in my opinion more outrageous. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who is not looking to get ripped off! read more

Jerry and his team hydroseeded our muddy backyard this spring. He was always responsive in planning, even dropping by after the job to check on the growing process. 100% customer satisfaction guaranteed is what this company preaches. Unfortunately, that is not what we received. We had our backyard leveled and sod placed. Reiterated multiple times about an important drain that had been placed a couple months prior in front of our bulkhead. After all the work was done we had a torrential downpour and our finished basement flooded through our bulkhead. Come to find out the drain was completely destroyed and mangled (our guy who placed the drain came back and dug it up to show us). For months the drain was working properly until Rhudd's came in to work on our yard. When we spoke to the owner about this he came to look at it, stated that it's possible his guys did this but he wouldn't talk to them about it because they would just deny it. We asked for compensation to replace the drain and help pay for damages in our basement. He basically blew us off, saying he doesn't do drains and he would "look into it." Radio silence from him for months. Thank god for our mason/contractor who came immediately and replaced the broken part of the drain (FOR FREE!!!), otherwise Our basement would have been destroyed. We ended up paying thousands for the yard and then had to eat the cost of the damages in our basement as well. In addition, a section of the sod was clearly looking like it was dying. We showed it to the owner and he said he would come back in a couple of weeks and replace if need be. That was in May. That section is now completely dead. I am 0% satisfied. read more

Jerry is excellent with communication; both responsive and respectful. He and his crew of several men spent an afternoon in our yard. They aerated, seeded, fertilized, and recut and mulched beds. When they finished the yard looked clean and tidy. The reason that I have changed my review from a five star to a three star, is because of the time and energy that I have had to spend in the yard since their work. The beds were not weeded (which I did pay for) before they mulched , so I have been finding grass popping up all over the place in the beds. Some of the beds are also cut unevenly. Overall, they did significant work, but some of it lacked thoroughness. read more

This may be lengthy so bare with me. Rhudd's came out last fall for leaf removal. They did a decent job considering I have a big yard. The problem I have is that they drove their truck onto my grass to make it easier to load the leaves into their truck and pretty much ruined my yard. I feel as though they were to lazy to haul the leaves over to the truck when it was originally parked in my driveway. I brought my issue up to Jerry(not positive of his name). He tells me that by the time spring rolls around the yard will be fine. He also told me that his guys knew how to drive over grass so it wouldn't be damaged. That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. If you make a mistake own up to it, don't patronize me. Also take the time to look at my issue. Don't just tell me over the phone everything will be fine, without actually taking a look at. Needless to say Spring is here and my yard looks like crap from the tire marks that were left! read more
