I had the misfortune to back into my garage door as it was opening. I know, DUH...long story but anyway... I then searched for a company to repair the damages. Tim was the first one I contacted. That's because he always answers his phone even when he is on a job. Therefore, you get excellent customer service. He was booked on Wednesday so he came to me first thing Thursday morning. Basically I had destroyed the bottom panel, bent the rollers and the door would not close. Tim was like a ninja garage door man. All his movements were swift and precise. Therefore, he had me operational in one hour. He took a panel that was bent and creased and made it almost new. He said I do have to order a new panel and this panel can only be ordered from a company that does the repairs. I'm going to try and get the panel from this company and let Tim due the installation. Yes, I am willing to drive from Tiverton to Warwick, pick up this 9' long panel which won't fit in my car, (friend has station wagon) and let Tim do the installation, instead of having a company who has the market cornered and will most likely rip me off do the job. If you have had the misfortune to deal with getting a garage door repaired you will soon find out that Tim is the crème de la crème of a business that doesn't seem to have much crème . My second review of RI Garage Door Repair. Still 5-star service. Tim had already come and replaced the tension springs on the opener, but this time, the door panels themselves were cracking, right where the panels meet. Not good. Tim was upfront with me, and explained that the door is going to need to be replaced. But, knowing that was going to be a big ticket item, Tim explained the option of a repair by adding a steel bar across the inside of the door panel, thus reinforcing it and getting a little more life out of the door. $75 start to finish, and yes, Tim came the same day I called. Like so many other reviewers have said, Tim was great. How great? He saw that I had my motorcycle apart, and when he finished the door, he sat down on the garage floor and spent an additional 20 minutes helping me extract some stripped screws. I needed to get new springs for my garage door. I always call couple of places and do a price comparison. Tim was the only person who gave me a fixed quote without beating around the bush. He was straight to the point. I decided to have him come and replace the springs. My husband and I were extremely impressed. First of all, his price remind same even though he had to make an extra trip to our place. I'm sure if it had been another company , they would have charged us for it. Second thing my husband really liked was that Tim didn't waste time with small talk. He quietly and efficiently did his work. All I can say is that Tim is extremely professional, fixed my garage door that wouldn't close all the way changed a few things and was very reasonable as far as price. Please be careful because there is someone else out there acting as this very same business so I would Call Tim and confirm. He goes by a schedule, is local and has his van with his info and website on it. Maybe even ask for ID to confirm it is Tim. I'll be heard of so many people working on garage doors spending thousands but this guy was again reasonable and did not go out asking you to get a new door or such. Between a general contractor friend who mentioned Tim's business and the reviews, calling him for an estimate was a no brainer. Not often these days when the owner answers his own phone..Point #1...Explained my options on new openers, and quoted prices with installation...Point #2...Gave us the choice rather than dictate upselling his products...Point #3...Showed up early for the service appointment...Point #4...Finished the work in a timely manner, did some adjusting to a second door, (no charge) and finished on time and to the agreed upon price...Trust me, these days, he is an anomaly in a service business. Tim was great! When I called to make an appointment, he gave me a rough estimate of the job over the phone. I called on a Friday afternoon and we made an appointment for Monday morning. Monday, he showed up right on time. He looked over the job (replacing springs and pulleys) and gave me a price less than the original estimate--not what one typically expects. He worked quickly and efficiently. I was also very pleasantly surprised that his work comes with a warranty of 1 year on parts and 60 days on service. One more very satisfied customer! read more

Our garage door had a broken spring for a long time and when the second one finally gave, we gave Tim a call. He came out the following day and temporarily repaired the door so that it functioned while he ordered the correct springs. He came back four days later and fixed the door in under an hour.
