Took my daughters touchscreen laptop in to be fixed. Came home without a touchscreen. They claimed there wasn't one in the first place. Then claimed it was an ordering issue. Took it back in, still no touchscreen and now the battery doesn't work. On the bright side, the guys were very nice. read more

Ben is AMAZING!!!!! I have an older MacBook Pro that was "elite" when I got it and it is my entire LIFE - multiple businesses, school, and more! I had been thinking of replacing, but a neighbor who's an "IT guy" "helped" by replacing my battery and keyboard --- BADLY.... practically DESTROYING my system (so bad, the guys at Ribbit took photos of the mess). I took it in to the West Ribbit late morning in DIRE need with deadlines tonight and got IMPECCABLE service. Ben did a Fantastic job at diagnostics, Nate and Ben did a bang up job checking the system..and they turned it around same day. 2nd time using this company, not cheap but fast and honest. I have had 2 OS issues, one Mac, one HP and both times they have cleared the problem, saved my data, wiped old and reinstalled new OS with ZERO issues. The HP was locked up and had thousands of irreplaceable photos. Ribbit figured out a way to get them, then cleared and installed a new system. read more

First let me start off by saying that they charge $80 to run a diagnostic check on your PC, which isn't bad, but they kept my PC for two days. Within those two days, I constantly had to walk them through the process of how to run the diagnostics on it. Just because I know my way around computers, doesn't mean I want to tell you how to do your job. I paid for THEM to fix it. I gave them info of PC crashing, talked to them about it not being a CPU, nor GPU issue, because I ran tests, and since they have more tools, I expect them to run further tests. They kept pushing me off saying they can't recreate the crashing and says the computers fine, and that it's my keyboard at home probably causing the crash. I told them to check the Event Viewer, and even run a game. Low and behold, the PC crashed and finally they were experiencing the problems I informed them about. They said "It's a driver issue, but now it's fixed." For me to immediately bring it home and for the PC to still crash. I wasted $80, along with had to tell them how to do their job, along with them keeping it for two days, along with the PC still crashing. These guys do AMAZING work!! I have taken my computer or laptop to Ribbit for several years. I have gotten excellent and courteous service each time. The have fix my computer or laptop quickly, at a reasonable price. A few times I have taken my laptop in and it took them a few minutes to find the problem and fix it at no charge. They are not out to stick it to you, they really want you to have a computer that works and that you will be willing to come to them with your next problem. I just know how to turn my laptop on and off with a little playing around on it. So I truly need a tech that I can trust. I found that with Ribbit. If any one says they are rude or inattentive it is because they are probably angry when they got there and not willing to accept what Ribbit have to say about their computer. I bought a rebuilt computer from them and when it needed repairs (I broke the screen) I took it back to them for repairs. When I checked the computer in they said it would be a couple of days for a tech to look at it and then someone would call with a quote. I checked it in on the 5th and got it back today 11th which was better than I was expecting. They are very nice guys in there they helped carry my all in one computer out to my car and even put a WiFi card that had been missing when I bought it. I think they did a great job! read more

If you're considering purchasing a laptop from Ribbit Computers I strongly advise against it. In less than a year of purchasing my laptop I have brought it back 4 times now going on my 5th to get serviced and it's still isn't working. They will not refund your money they will only swap it out for the same computer if they have one which they don't which leaves you with basically a paperweight because they cannot fix it. There's a number on the door that states if you are unsatisfied please call this number, that's a laugh because my husband did and had to leave a voice mail and guess what we never got a call back. Microsoft update to my Surface caused Explorer to stop working. Ribbit uninstalled the update and got it working again and charged nothing. Now I just have to wait for MS to roll out another update and hope that fixes the bug. read more

Lost my M.2 standoff and screw, called beforehand and they said they had screws I could look at. Came in a day later and they brought out a container of various screws and helped me look through it. They gave me 2 sets of screws and standoffs that I could take home and try out, gave it to me for free! Wonderful service, nice staff, knew what they were talking about. read more

Not sure what's better - paying a neighborhood tech $10-$20 to check out and diagnose your computer and have them tell you it's A-OK, then you take it home and it still crashes, or take your computer to Ribbit, have them tell you that you have a virus, they charge you $50, you take it home...and it still crashes. At least now, out $50, I know why it crashes... Maybe they were having a bad day, maybe Ribbit just hires people who don't look good in "Geek Squad black", but I've never encountered such sullen and uncommunicative people outside of Starbucks. While they're helping you at the counter, they'll turn around and fiddle with someone else's computer.When you call to get an explanation of what's wrong, they're rather non-specific, except to offer to re-install Windows for an additional fee. (It's not Windows, I've re-installed Windows twice, did all the updates, and nothing's changed.) I don't know, they didn't do any harm, but my computer's not working any better than it was before, and my wallet's $50 lighter. Perhaps it's time for a new computer. With what I've paid in diagnostics and failed upgrades, I could buy a new computer. P.S.: cash or credit only, don't bring your checkbook. read more

Took them my ipod touch with a broken screen. They had it fixed in about 1 hour. They did a nice job. I don't know how the prices compare to the competition because I didn't have time to shop around. These folks are great! I have a laptop that I use for home and had it get locked by (supposedly) Microsoft. When I called (supposedly) Microsoft Tech Support they tried to get me to pay $300 to "fix" my problem. Well I'm not made of money so I took it to these folks and $65 later it is as good as new. read more

I brought my laptop to the maize west store, they told me it was maybe the video card and had to send it "downtown". They never called me back, I waited about a week and called me they told me it would be about $200 to fix it and I told them to forget about it and I was going to pick it up, I took it right over to best buy and best buy said did you know this was under warranty? They called HP for me and go the video card replaced for me for free (in 2 days). Ribbit = poor customer service and tried to scam me. read more

Had a shattered iphone glass replaced for $69. 30 days later I had removed my protective case to clean the phone, and while gently pushing the phone back into the case in both of the upper corners, the glass cracked all across the top of the phone. They would only offer to replace the glass again for half-price which was quoted at $65 (half of $129) I guess the price skyrocketed in those 30 days. The tech also recommended that I go somewhere else to get it fixed...so I did. After Mobile comm replaced the glass the tech told me that there was a problem with the previous iglass install & he could see how it broke due to that. So i called Ribbit back, and the Ribbit owner called Mobile comm techs liars & told me that glass is fragile and they (Ribbit) were not responsible. DO NOT ever take a phone to have the glass replaced at this place unless you want to get SCRE#%ED!! read more

I took my laptop for a fan replacement. They charged me $100 but I paid because I didnt have the tools and did not want to spend 2hrs doing it. First they broke one of the keys on my keyboard and when I told them they wanted to charge extra $100 for a keyboard replacement. On the same day, my computer fan started making worse noises than before. Took it there again and they "fixed" it. After 3 days again the same noises and had to take it there again (they said the fan was rubbing the case). It worked fine for 3 months and then the fan started making noises and stopped working intermittently. They said their warranty was only 3 weeks and wanted to charge $52 for a diagnostic. I declined and decided to replace the fan myself. When I opened my computer I found several surprises. 1) 2 of the screws were imposible to unscrew so I ended up breaking part of the case, 2) They used a LOT of glue on the keyboard that I almost had to break it to get it out (This was the reason the key was not working, I fixed that too). 3) When I got to the fan I realized the fan they used was horrible quality and I do not think the blades were the right size so they bent the fan case to make it fit. They just replaced the fan and not the heatsink, I bought the whole set and it was $15 and better quality. My fan has being working fine since I changed it myself. $100, several visits, and broken keyboard. I spent $40 (for fan ad tools) and 2hrs and not a problem afterwards. read more

If 0 stars was possible thats what'd I choose. They barely even fixed my phone. I can peel up a part of my screen. I have an LG and they didn't even put an LG screen on it. It cracked just by holding it. They told me I have to keep my case on or my screen will come off. Not to mention, my battery drains to 10 from 100 in like 3 hours. And people don't get my texts or calls and the other way around too. DON'T GO TO RIBBIT COMPUTERS THEY DON'T FIX IT. THEY MAKE IT WORSE. read more
