I've seen this location over the years when I've been working out of Garden City. There previously was one near where I lived in Arkansas and they closed. So I figured I would try it. Well after trying it, I understand why the one by me closed. I ordered through Door Dash because I'm staying in a hotel and don't have wheels since my truck is at the shippers. The food is terrible. It's flavorless, over cooked and nothing to brag about. I tried the Motherlode because it was a nice sampler of their chopped brisket, hotlink, pulled pork and chicken with corn on the cob, pickles and Texas toast plus two or more sides of your choice. Well the food was over priced for the quality and the order didn't come with the toast, pickles, or corn like advertised. My dog turned her nose up at it and she eats everything. Dickey's BBQ Pit is better than here and that isn't saying much because Dickey's is not fit for human consumption either. Their drinks to go are around $3 and slightly bigger than a kids cup at McDonalds. Talk about feeling cheated, disappointed and rather annoyed by the extremely poor quality of food. ordered three rib combo with home made potato chips and green beans. ribs were a little dry and seemed like they were cooked some time ago. the green beans were burned, with black scorch marks on them. the fried potato's were old and stale, also like they were made a long time ago. I told the manager, she shrugged her shoulders and confessed they did make the fried potato chips " in the morning". confirming why they are stale. even fast food restraints make your fried food when you order it! the manager then offered me a coupon for ' the next time I brave the Rib Crib'. I confided to her, that I wasn't coming back. I recommend the same for consumers, it's expensive and poor quality food. if the place has management, there supposed to make sure the food is good before selling it to customers, or get blasted on Yelp. read more

One other group had the same thing happen, but luckily left. We go seated and got drink orders taken. Started to take order and informed us then they were out of pulled pork and brisket. We had to stall because that changed everones order. Came back 10min later to take orders. Came back serverd appetizers and side salads. Came back 10min later and informed us they were out of ribs! We left at that point. By now it was 8:50pm. This place closes at 11pm by website. They literally wasted 2 hours of our time!! Had to find a new place to eat at 9pm at night!! The service was good and we appreciate the accommodation to sit us all together considering we did all come together. Other restaurants are not allowing this even if your group comes together due to COVID restrictions. Ordered 2 super packs online 4:00pm for 6:30pm pick up. Arrived around 6:15pm, not ready, no problem. Told several times they were working on order. At 6:55pm, told cold only make 1 super pack, not enough food, sorry. Could not accept house full of people. Staff went to talk with manager 7:20pm finally say the can make with other items. 7:35pm finally get order, not complete had to go get remaining items. Staff kept saying manager would be out, never did. Staff unorganized and communication terrible. Manager hid in back, staff tried to figure out solution through situation. Not COVID friendly. None of the staff were wearing masks. We were seated at a table that had not been wiped or had trash removed from the floor. We moved ourselves to a table across the aisle that looked cleaner, but wasn't, and told the waitress, who didn't respond to our concern. The meat (brisket and turkey) was overcooked and dry, and it was difficult to identify which meat was which. Before we were ready to leave, the hostess sat customers in the next booth, although there were only 3 groups in the building at the time. We are in town for work and we decided we would take a chance at RibCrib despite the reviews. We walked inside and were asked how many would be dining with us, I told her three. She said "will the tall chairs be okay?" I told her we would like a booth or table without the tall chairs & she insisted that we sit at the bar area with the tall chairs. I finally got my point across that we did not want to sit in the tall chairs but rather we wanted a booth or a table. We were finally seated when our waitress came up, she was obviously young but was extremely nice & outgoing. We ordered our drinks & when we received them back our pops were flat. We let them know of the issue and 5-10 minutes later came out and determined their pop machine was broken. We ordered chips and salsa as our appetizer and when we received them back the chips had to have been at least 2-3 days old. We then ordered our meal and was never brought another basket of chips. Our food came out promptly and when seeing my coleslaw I almost puked. It has a orange color like lettuce does once it has became old. It tasted sour and disgusting. Our pulled pork was extremely dry. The ribs were AMAZING as for the chicken as well. The waiter beside our table had a to short, wrinkled up RibCrib shirt on.... (not appealing as customers) After finishing our meal they did take off our chips and salsa. I let our waitress know how awful and old the coleslaw was and she yelled for someone (I'm guess management) and have someone come over and look at it. The lady that was called over looked at me like I had absolutely no idea what I was talking about. They did swap it out for Mac&Cheese which was not that bad. All in all- I would say give it a shot and see what you think but don't be hesitant to say something when your order is nasty or old. The food is always great at rib crib. My service sucked at this location however. I sat forever without getting waited on, then he forgot to bring things I asked for, then he tried to pick up my card and run the bill without me even seeing it. I got a desert to go so I skipped the ice cream and they brought out literally the tiniest piece of cake I've ever seen. I paid $5 dollars for the smallest desert in the world. You just lost all my catering business. I normally cater from Garden City rib crib about once every other month or so, but that over. I walking in the door at 10:18 to pick up a Catering order for 10:30. The girl at the counter says ok. Cal the manager and nothing. At 10:35 I asked if my order want ready. I get " I believe so", then the one girl that says that and the other girl eating her food at the bar get up and head for the back. I tell them I have a hour drive to my lunch (at 11:30) and they were killing me. I finally get my catering order at 10:50. Not one person said sorry and I never did get to talk to the shift manager to see what took so long. I will be talking with the manager and corporate. Guess they don't need my catering orders. Their catering program is horrible anyways. To bad they have lost my business, cause their food is good! read more

Well, this was our first time at this chain. The last word was the first problem-"chain" At first look the prices looked high. But, like always, we gave them a chance. A full slab of ribs was $30 and honestly, I wasn't that hungry. So, I ordered what was called "Catfish +1", in other words, and order of catfish plus another meat. My other meat was St Louis style ribs. I'm thinking, this should be pretty good. My 'meal' consisted of two pieces of catfish, literally pieces that might have equaled half of a small catfish, and literally two ribs, oh, and a dollop of potatoes and gravy. For $15. Yeah, no. On a positive note, the ribs were outstanding. Simply not enough bang for this guys hard earned buck. I seriously doubt that I will ever visit again. Ordered catfish took one bite and it was cold. Took the breading off and it was not just undercooked it was raw. Like the breading was the only thing that was cooked. Waiter said omg sorry. I didn't make a big deal about it. So then I got pulled pork and brisket instead. It was ok but couldn't eat that much after the raw fish. I should have kept the plate in front of me and called health inspector. Next time I will do that. They still charged me for it for my meal. I was sick for 3 days. Went here on a date night with my wife. I've heard many good things about this restaurant from friends so I've been looking forward to eating here. I got the baby back ribs combo with chopped brisket, and fried okra and Mac n cheese on the side. We also got the fried pickles for an appetizer. Everything we ate was amazing. I was blown away with the ribs. The meat fell right off the bone. The wait was a little longer than we were told and the staff kept getting confused with what order went to which table, but overall I'm very satisfied with our experience. We waited a short time to be seated, our drinks and order were taken in a decent amount of time. After a 700 mile trip from Texas, I got excited when I saw BBQ. The plate was smaller than expected, for the price I was paying. I ordered the Pick 2 meats meal, had the St. Louis style ribs and they were fall off the bone good--not as moist as they could be--but good. The side salad actually impressed me, and the mashed potatoes and gravy are good. The Pulled Pork was where I was upset, they need to focus on not drying it out as much--needed to drown it in sauce but that still didn't fix it! The service was good enough, and was defiantly not poor by any means. I might try this if I pass by one during a different drive. I don't even know where to start tonight. Come to our Rib Crib tonight and we are told a 25 minute wait for 5. Ok no biggie IF YOU WERE BUSY. I saw 8 tables that could have been bussed and people sat in the entire 25 minute wait. There is no bartender so can't get a drink while you wait or any mixed drink. Then at 6:00pm after about 20 min of our wait they inform us they are out of ribs and brisket. We have been sitting at our table for 5 minutes and have not even been even talked to since we sat down. I normally do no leave a review until after my second or third visit, but this location has lived up to all of my experiences at the other locations in this chain. Like most chain restaurants, this will not be the best BBQ you have ever had, but it will certainly be the best you have had outside of BBQ mecca's like Kansas City or St Louis.
