Oh my goodness-I was not expecting this place. We got off the highway for gas, and it was around dinner time. Figured we would be stuck with drive through dinner and my husband pointed this place out before we got back on the highway. Definitely glad that he did! This is a very old school steakhouse-salad bar, soup options, simple but tasty menu options. Our waitress Joanna was awesome-thorough, attentive without hovering, and ensuring everything came out perfectly. Prices are typical for the type of restaurant as well. Non-steak full dinner entrees options are under 30 bucks, steak prices are around 35$ and up. Keep in mind that these all come with a choice of sides PLUS unlimited salad bar options. If you want a sandwich or burger it's under 20$ with a side choice. You can also get just unlimited soup and salad bar for under 20$. They have a short but delicious desert menu, well-priced cocktails, and a cozy dining room set up. There is apparently also a second floor, which we elected to not sit in only due to having a child with us and not wanting to be too far from restrooms. If we come through the area again we definitely will be stopping back! read more

Everything about our visit was amazing. Our waitress was abbi and she was by far the best waitress ever! She went above and beyond to make sure we were pleased. She entertained the kids made sure our drinks were filled and double checked on my kids milks when they couldn't decide between chocolate and strawberry. She was amazing. The salad bar was fresh and maintained. All the veggies are fresh and crisp. You can tell it's cut that day. It was so good. The ranch was great. Salad bar was included in most of the meals. Most of us got steaks and they are thin cut but all of them were seasoned nicely and cooked perfectly. Nothing had to be sent back. We went after my graduation from VGCC and I expected it to be busy, and it reallly wasn't that bad. It's very rustic feeling but can definitely tell it's an upscale restaurant. Ribeyes is a nice place to eat, but the lower, glassed-in area gets very hot in the summer time. If the AC is turned down to cool that area, the salad bar floor gets too cold. read more

I ordered takeout for my family this evening, which was a decent chunk of my small paycheck in the food I got was ridiculous. I ordered a wow cow burger. The bird tomato wrapped up so everything got wet. I ordered the hamburger medium well top burger was extra pink and the Bon burger was medium. It came with less than a handful of soggy fries. I also ordered. my daughter and Agnes burger, which was supposed to been well done and it was medium to say the least. and I will say with every meal I probably got 10 to 15 soggy fries and the food came out right when I got there I ordered takeout from here a lot and I'm very disappointed with the type of food that I got tonight or what I spent things are expensive enough as it but when you work hard all week and you spend $62.98 of my heart earned paycheck. I expect my spoon to be a lot better than what I received whoever's cooking they need to do better read more

With the fun wooden floors and seating reminiscent of an upscale barn wedding, our party enjoyed the loaded option salad bar, chargrilled pork chops, steak, and delicious broccoli. The entrees ranged in price, but sandwiches were very affordable for dinner! We met there for a family reunion and our waitresses were very attentive and accommodating to our larger group. First visit here and last visit here. Several of my family members who live in Henderson have told me this place wasn't that great but we were in town for a funeral and there weren't many other high end restaurants to chose from so I gave it a shot. First I'd like to say that the service was GREAT. Our waitress was so sweet, friendly, and attentive and the manager did everything possible to make things right. My rating is on my food only. The inside was clean and so was the ladies bathroom (not sure about the mens). The salad bar was the best part to me. I would go back to this place for a salad if I'm in town again, but not a steak. We also ordered the cheesy fries as an appetizer and even they were better than our steaks. I think it's also worth mentioning that we were a party of 7 and the other 5 people who ordered steaks had no complaints and their steaks were cooked as they requested. My husband and I ordered the ribeye dinner for 2. When our steaks came out his was a rock on the outside and almost blue on the inside. Mine was raw (I ordered medium) and usually I can make it work and eat it. I attempted to take a bite and it just had the weirdest taste and texture. I'd never tasted that before so I just left it alone. The waitress asked if I wanted to send it back but I never send food back. I've heard of too many horror stories about this and just don't want to risk it. She must have told the manager because I did not ask for one but the manager came over and offered to cook a fresh one for me to take home. We weren't going straight home and I honestly wasn't that impressed enough to wait so I politely declined. She then offered to comp our meal and gave us a $50 gift card (which we gave to my MIL because we're from out of town). Like I said, the service was great, the salad bar was too, and other people in our party had no complaints. It's possible it was just an off night or maybe they were short staffed or had a new cook. We decided to try out this steakhouse spot for a family gathering. It has a cabin style cafeteria-like feel to it with ample space for large parties. They weren't taking reservations on this particular Sunday and the wait for a table for 8 ended up being about 25-30 mins given the volume of customers. The menu features appetizers like bang bang shrimp, wings in a variety of flavors, lump crab cakes, and onion rings with prices ranging from $10-$15, and entree options like their ribeye and crab cakes or shrimp skewers, filet mignon combo options, grilled Atlantic salmon, and bbq glazed pork chops with prices ranging from $24-$60 as certain menu options come with an endless salad bar. Service was decent our orders were taken not too long after being seated and all the food we ordered came out simultaneously. I decided on the 10oz ribeye and shrimp skewer with Texas toast and fries. The Texas toast was excellent, the shrimp skewers tasted unseasoned and along with the fries came out room temperature at best. As for what was supposed to be the highlight of the dish the grilled ribeye: decent flavor but severely over cooked even for a medium-well request and the cut itself was super fatty which seemed to be consistent amongst our group for those who ordered the ribeye. Waitress walked us to our booth, and found out that it needed to be cleaned, so she asked us to wait at the front (where we'd been waiting a while already). Another waitress took another couple to the same booth and seated them. I complained to the manager, who was really incompetent, and she told us she'd try and find us another booth. we waited and waited. no apology, just let us wait. We were on our way back from Richmond and were hungry, so we decided to try this place. It was a cute place and was clean. The server was pleasant and the salad bar was ok. If you are salt sensitive stay away from the salad bar, almost everything seemed to be heavy salt. We got our grilled food, and it was loaded down in pepper, blackened and Old Bay seasoning. This was our second trip here in about 2months and the service was absolutely horrible. We were seated quickly as they were not crowded but it took 15 minutes just to get our drink order in. The food came fairly quickly but the wait staff never checked to see if we needed refills or anything else. We finished our meal and waited over 10 minutes just to get the bill. Salad bar was awesome, cheeseburger better than the steak. Walked in and was ignored by the two ladies at the front for near 10 minutes even after making eye contact several times. When I asked if we should seat ourselves they finally acknowledged saying to give them a minute. Finally in our seats and the waitress (one of the 2 who ignored us) said she was busy but again to give her a minute. Ten minutes later the Manager asked if we'd been helped. She she realized not, she immediately got our drinks, orders and the entire service changed. Kim (the Manager) was fantastic. Great service and wonderful demeanor. Kim NEEDS a raise and Ribeyes Steakhouse needs more Kim's. The 4 stars are due to Kim. Food would be 3 stars and without Kim service would be no stars. read more

They told us it would be a 45 minute wait.....2 hours later we were finally being seated but (with a family of 8 with children) they forgot to mention that we would be seated in the bar area. Very loud men with no filter after a 2 hour wait with no notice of being seated in the bar area with children. It was so loud that we couldn't even hear each other at the table it was a disaster the prices were absurd for decent quality and limited options. But mainly upset with being told it was a 45 minute wait and in turn being 2 hours long with no updates or apologies for the wait. No options for sitting at different tables or anything. It was horrible management they did not accommodate correctly for the busy night along with hearing a waitress announcing she wanted to cry after helping a table and being so overworked. This restaurant is experiencing a steady decline in quality of food, cleanliness, and many other categories. First, the $19 hamburger appeared to be a thin frozen patty, lesser quality than many fast food restaurants. The salad bar had a significant fly infestation and completely grossed me out. The various food containers at the salad bar were contaminated with the food from nearby containers. The dressing ladle handles were smeared with dressing. The salad was wilted, which has been the case over the last few visits. It appears that the staff are working independent of any Management or Owner leadership or direction. This group of mostly young people need supervision and direction. It is sad because I want to see them operate successfully because we have a shortage of restaurant options in Henderson, NC. My guess is the hands off owner is focused on making money and not on running a quality operation, this never results in a great customer experience. read more

This restaurant was once one of our favorites in the area. It is no longer. I should have walked out when I saw 2 small box fans blowing over the salad bar to keep the flies and gnats away (?) - it didn't work and the produce was limp and wilting. Extremely over priced menu for a mediocre, over-seasoned, over-cooked steak. (Eg $32 for a 10oz ribeye). The sirloin steak at the Cracker Barrel across the street is much better at half the price. The dressings and condiments had other items of food in them. When the food came out it was lukewarm and my steak was so raw that I had to take it home and finish cooking it. This was a special treat. Traveling to visit family, we stopped for the night in Henderson, NC. Wandered around to find a dinner spot and I liked the rustic look of this place. Well I'm so disgusted with my experience today at this restaurant! I walked for lunch today with friends and loved the feeling and atmosphere it gave off. Order there salad bar and a small 6oz rib eye. I had my salad and started on my rib eye and my stomach started bother me but I paid it no mind. Finished my lunch and my stomach got worse. Started concerning me. Ended up in the bathroom and could not hold anything down!! An hour later my friend got sick as well!! Do not eat here. Wish I could give them zero stars! My father-in-law and I were on a road trip back home from Kerr Lake and he said there was a place called Silo's that he and his wife use to go to in Henderson when they lived there many years ago. After some google time i found the place was still there but now called Ribeyes. So we stopped in and am sure glad we did. Great atmosphere, friendly attentive staff. Little pricey but the food matches with amazing taste! Recommend if in the area and want a great meal! read more
