I typically order Alfredo to-go. Process is simple most times. But if I'm speaking with full honesty, the last 3 times I've gotten the Alfredo, the quality and taste has declined. I'm guessing everything is made in-house? That part isn't THE BIGGEST issue bc I bring my food home and finesse it to me and my family's liking. The very last time however, the extra Alfredo sauce, was watery and smelled like milk. The time before that, there were clumps throughout. One more thing, management doesn't have the best attitude. A hometown and surrounding favorite. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our menu selection. The dining area makes the most of a smaller footprint-tastefully decorated with Italian decor evident. The restaurant though an older place, is very clean-bathrooms included. Our server was efficient and friendly. Our spaghetti option was simply delicious and my hot coffee very good. This establishment is conveniently located close to the Henderson NC I-85 exit and close to a major hospital, and many types of shopping venues available.We really enjoyed our meal. read more

Was on the road and decided to try a local place in search of a cheesesteak. We took a risk and it totally paid off!!! The cheesesteaks here were absolutely fantastic!!!! They were huge and loaded with meat and cheese. This isn't a Philly style with 'cheese sauce' but real cheese. Possibly white American cheese because it was full of flavor and delicious!!! We ordered (2) cheesesteaks, (2) fries, came with 21oz drink and a cannoli for $30. The food was piping hot and the service very fast. Also, what someone said is true, it's an older building but the restaurant including bathrooms were very clean. We will absolutely be back next time we are in the area!!! Only writing this review so that people from out of town are not deceived! I did not know it was possible to make a bad pizza. I mean really, I have never had any pizza in my entire life that was inedible. But, today I learned that it actually IS possible to make a pizza so bad it's not even worth eating. It was severely undercooked, barely any sauce, and cheese was clumpy. If you are looking for pizza, I kid you not, please order from Dominos or Little Caesars instead! Cozy little spot with great food! When I'm craving a good pizza, I go to Pino's but on this visit I splurged and tried the steak and cheese, hot wings and cannoli. The steak and cheese was absolutely delicious! You can add toppings (depending on how many it may be an additional cost). The wings I got were ok, I probably wouldn't order them again. If you're a blue cheese fan like I am, definitely get their blue cheese. The cannoli was pretty good too. The portion sizes are big at a great price. read more

However on Monday February 24, 2020 the waitress that stands about 4 ft 11 had the absolute worst attitude ever. This is a nice cozy location if you are looking for homemade Italian food. Very nice variety on the menu. The customer service is very nice and friendly. I like being able to buy a slice of pizza instead of a whole pie. The pizza here is very close to a New York style pizza. They use fresh quality ingredients. The sausage that is used on the pizza is the best. read more

When visiting Kerr Lake, this is a great place to take the kids for some yummy pizza. Service is low key but friendly, food was served much more quickly than I expected and tasted fantastic. They use Roma food products, and generally every place that uses them is pretty solid. The decor is dark wood, high back benches; casual and not trying too hard. My wife was very excited to go to Pino's tonight however I had a taste for something different. We brought our daughters. One ordered a cheeseburger which was massive. Much too big to be on the kids menu. I ordered the stuffed shells which was almost 10$. It turned out to be 3 shells which to me didn't look worth the price. After I took a bite I realized that we had been overcharged. The marinara "meat" sauce, which I couldn't find any meat in, was below average. I was not impressed whatsoever. The waitress that took my order on the phone disregard what I asked. I asked for the full cheesesteak to be packed in 2 Togo boxes along with the fries as I was sharing with a coworker. When I got there it was in foil and a bag of fries, so I asked for 1 Togo box . I would separate it myself. she walked by and said boxes cost money. I asked for ketchup and was told there is 3 packs in the bag, how do you share 3 packs with someone over a shared order of fries? Maybe her tips should buy some more togo boxes? We ate at here on 10/9/18. This was our second visit, with the first being several years ago. Now I understand why we never went back. Service was really good. We were checked on often and never had empty glasses. The food was only ok. We started with toasted ravioli, which was good. I ordered the chicken fettuccine had a good flavor, but the chicken was diced up in little cubes and didn't really taste like chicken. My dad got the chicken parmesan and he said it was good. My mom got the Italian sub and she said it was nasty. The meat tasted and was square shaped like it just came from the package in the meat section of the grocery store. The salad and salad dressing were good except that the lettuce was in huge pieces. I am not trying to be picky about it, but most places at least tear it up into bite size or slightly larger pieces. When we placed our order, we were asked if we wanted salad or bread. We got the salad and didn't think we would be getting any bread so we ordered some garlic bread. When the meal was delivered, a nice loaf of bread came with butter. I never would have paid the extra for bread had I known that it was served with bread. I guess they shouldn't really ask if you want either/or if they are going to give you both anyway. Overall, I was not impressed with Pino's. Sadly, I will choose somewhere else to spend my money next time. read more

The food was delicious, the service was terrible. They said they had to make a fresh pot of coffee, fine, but when it's done, it would be nice if they brought it. When the food came, I asked where was the coffee...oh I'm sorry. I got a phone call...?? So they bring the coffee and never come back. You could hear the waitresses back there talking and having a good time. After they forgot to bring it, you'd think they'd come back to refill it, but no... So we get finished and sit there again because they are too busy talking to bring us a bill. What a shame. Like I said the food was great, but I won't go back. read more

I ordered a take out meal of Ribeye med well that comes w/ spaghetti and garlic bread. The Ribeye was not as ordered. it was hard and dry, the garlic bread was garlic cardboard and the sauce on the spaghetti tasted burnt. That meal was over $18.00. I dont know when you guys received a decent meal there but it most likely was not midday. I do not plan to spend another dime in there! Henderson restaurants are all disgusting. As usual, I was looking for a chicken cheesesteak place and stumbled across this little Italian joint that boasted subs and pizza by the slice. Entering, I had a problem knowing where to go. After navigating through booths and halfwalls, there was a counter in back that said "pay here" and a small sign indicating you should wait to be seated. Menu was limited to a few subs and pizza options. I think I only got the lunch menu, as I noted pastas and wine offered to other customers as I left. While there weren't any chicken cheesesteak subs, I ordered a chicken parm sub. The waitress was nice and refilled my diet coke while I dined. The meal came out (5.99 for sub, sandwich and fries) and there was little to complain about-at first. Upon further inspection, the sub was served missing about an inch and a half of meat on each end (i'd paid the dollar extra for a 9" instead of a 6", though I think the portion would have been the same). The cheese was a melty provolone, the patty was not freshly coated-but not chopped and reformed meat. Worst of all, after cutting the sandwich in half and eating a quarter, I realized they'd used a meat sauce on the chicken parm! Being a non-beef eater, I immediately got bad omens (later classified as gas and stomach issues). I asked for the rest of the.sub to go and will likely not return. read more

Pino's is our favorite restaurant in Henderson. We have only lived here three weeks, and are still trying restaurants, but we haven't found one we like better. We have tried the fettuccine Alfredo and the veal piccata. The portions are huge. We take half home for lunch the next day. Last time we had the lemon cake which was very good. The space is small, and there is no fancy ambiance, but the food is worth the visit. read more
