Frankly, we should have taken that as our cue to walk out right then and there, saving ourselves from the blatant white supremacy and racism that defined the rest of our night. This staff member was Max, the sommelier, and his behavior was absolutely repulsive. Even though we smiled and initiated friendliness, he treated us with hostile racism. The only saving grace of the entire evening was Paul, a Thai waiter, who took over our service. He was the most attentive, warm, and professional server we could have asked for, and he single-handedly saved the night from being an absolute demeaning disaster. It is a massive shame that the restaurant's reputation has to suffer because of a racist like Max, especially since our group was prepared to splurge on an expensive meal. While the food itself was decent, the service makes this place entirely worthless of any Michelin star accolades.
