I scheduled an appointment with this clinic, showed up on time, filled out the necessary paper work, and guess what? They tell me I am out of network with my insurance. First off, I went on my health benefits website, my account, to find this clinic. It was one of the listed clinic. I even called my provider's phone number and asked for an IN NETWORK doctor. They gave me this clinic. I took 3 hours of work just to stop by here to see if I could get medication for my condition. Guess what? They don't care. What angers me is that they completely wasted my time there. What could have prevented this was to get the patient's card first before they come in. The person who checked my benefits told me straight up that they do not do that because when the idiots in the office were to write down the patient's card number, they sometimes get it incorrect. Uhm.....hello? Ask the patients to scan and email the information. Yes, I know most of your patients do not have that luxury but come on! It's the 21st century, I'm sure they can go to the library and do so. DON'T WASTE A PATIENTS TIME FOR YOUR INCOMPETENT STRUCTURE OF YOUR OFFICE! I lost 3 hours of work time because stupid people could not have asked a patient for their information. I filled out all the paper work and assessment and then they tell me that I was not able to do anything. I had to drive from Berkeley to this location and then back. Another patient told me that she had to always wait and had mistakes with her prescriptions as well from this place. What kind of clinic is this? Luckily my depression and anxiety is minor compared to others but what happens if I were to commit suicide? Would they be liable because they weren't able to see me? These are peoples' mental health they're dealing with and it doesn't seem like they care. We are just dollar signs for this clinic and the lack of professionalism is ridiculous. I still now do not have my medication because I wasted my time with them. Scheduling an appointment with a psychiatrist is hard because they are always booked up and by wasting my time, I'm out another week for my medication. I highly doubt the incompetent office staff will read this. This is my experience and I hope none of the people who are considering this place will go through the same experience as I did. Make sure they're in your network. Don't waste you precious time with them if you are not.

All they are concerned about is head count! The receptionist is ghetto and very unprofessional. One visit, I came out of the office with the doctor and noticed that she had an infant child sitting in the window where patrons come up to sign in, ask questions or whatever. She went on to visit with her friends and the infant until someone came to the window for help and then she moved the baby to the side and asked if she could help the person...Geeeez!!! The office is in need of a Manager of some kind that can keep the ambiance and patients visits as peaceful as possible considering.....

They take your strings out of your jacket/hoodie just be aware of that, they'll keep it in a locker with the rest of your belongings if you don't want them taken out. The care sucked, they'd make you attend groups and lie to you saying "it'll get you out faster" which is a total LIE, so you can't trust the staff, they think groups will help you get better when it won't. They don't get that though ... there's too many cameras in there too, I don't like how they have to watch your every move, you're in the csu before moving to willow rock, but that's for another story. The food sucked, it was cold, even when it came fresh from the cart, it was COLD and gross. The staff ate outside food in front of us, which sucked even harder, because it's unfair, they had their phones out in front of us while we couldn't have ours, they asked for our picture, and they wont stop until you agree to taking your picture so the staff can "know who you are" it's stupid bro. The beds also suck really bad, it gets cold at night and the blankets are very thin, even when you ask for more blankets it'll still be cold, the pillows are flat as fuck, excuse my language but it was, it made my back hurt bad and I kept waking up. They check on you every 15 minutes so remember that if you tryna do something because you snuck in contraband. I got away with it, they also aren't allowed in the patient rooms unless it's an emergency like you banged your head on the wall or something. You're welcome, you can't sneak in metal because they use metal detectors, you'd have to shove it up your ass if you wanna hurt yourself that bad gang anyway, you're welcome.

There's just some rules that are somewhat inhumane, like you don't have any say of it. I feel like you can't cry there without getting threatened to be booty juiced. You also need to do group therapy forcefully, (well for me. every experiences are different.) or else you get talked into and things like that. There's this Counselor specifically, he was the worst. He gave all of us a pep talk that We needed to vent or else we will be depressed forever?? like who the hell says that in a psych ward like that? Anyways, there's lots of improvements to be done but otherwise, it's fine.

Talking through my issues was nice and getting her take was helpful. The sessions were very relaxing as well. What I regret was not taking the audios seriously. I should have listened to them every day to get the benefit but I neglected that. I think that was why I didn't really think hypnosis was fully for me. It helped but not as much as I hoped. Forward to April 2020. I got infected with Covid in March and was dealing with many symptoms that would not go away. One of them was horrible acid reflux. I've had acid reflux in the past but this was 20x worse! Diet and medicine weren't helping and Kay texted me to check in with how I was doing (perfect timing!). I figured why not try hypnosis again and see. We had our session via FaceTime. I really liked doing it via FaceTime bc I could do it from the comfort of my couch or bed. No looking for parking or driving to SF. I stopped the medicine but continued to eat GERD friendly and listened to the audio we made 3x a day. My acid reflux went away! I just had to be diligent. I then developed another covid symptom a week or so later which was horrible headaches and nerve pain. I had another session with Kay and my symptoms improved. A couple of weeks later I stated having chest pains and heart palpitations, which is think was because I was too plugged into social media surrounding covid. My anxiety went through the roof. I could not stop being anxious. It was really really bad. My heart was racing so much all day. I had a session yesterday and I'm already feeling less anxious. My heart rate is going back to normal and I'm so grateful to Kay. I was considering taking anxiety meds and but I'm glad I tried Kay first. I think it's a combination of talking it through with Kay and doing the therapy that really helped. She really is amazing at what she does and I recommend her to anyone dealing with either physical or mental issues.

As for claims about being "stripped naked and injected," that is simply not how it works. I've visited my nephew many times and have overheard these conversations firsthand. Injections are only administered when a patient repeatedly refuses to take the medication prescribed by their doctor and is decompensating. At that point, it becomes a matter of safety and stabilization so they can actually get better. My nephew has admitted himself voluntarily plenty of times. So to the staff who genuinely help--thank you.
